    Hello

No, it is certainly not possible to use a docking station or APR on the Qosmio unit.
The unit should have a docking in slot at the bottom but the Qosmio hasn t he.

  • No bass when you use the docking station to not probe

When I use the out port of my docking station (Series edited by moderator) I get no bass sound, just hail my wide range speaker. When the speakers are plugged into the headphone jack directly on the laptop it normal sound, with a full range of sounds. I checked the setting in the CP of its speakers are identified as the range, so this isn't the issue. There is no sound improvement enabled in Control Panel SRS. I'm puzzled. Why no bass when you use the docking station only. I tried two different docking stations with the same result: no bass.

Yes! I finally solved it on my system:

    • Go to the control panel
    • Choose the material and audio

or simply to display all Control Panel items

    • Select SRS Premium Sound Pro (it's an icon of circle blue/white)
    • Wait for the program to come black EQ
    • Select the tab/words "listening experience" near the top of the window of SRS Premium Sound PRO
    • Uncheck the 'improvement of Audio '.

    Fact

In addition, there is the graphic equalizer in there that totally works well to further fine tune your desired speaker and the audio preference.

    Hi all

As I say, I have intermittent problems where the machine crashes when you use the docking station. Sometimes at the beginning of the startup of windows then stalls and powers of fan at full power. If I take off the base of the machine, it works fine.

I bought this machine because I had one in my previous job and he had found great. However, my only previous also had this problem sometimes when lashing...

    Any assistance received very warmly.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Stand by. You have noticed this behavior when the laptop is OFF, connect to the docking station and after doing this you turn. Am wrong me or have I misunderstood something?

Maybe's external screen connected to the docking station?

    Hello

With Docking Station, you can connect all the cables for printer, keyboard and mouse, adapter directly to the charging station.

So whenever you use a laptop, you have just dock the laptop on the docking station and not need to re connect all cables again.

This will help you when you move frequently with the laptop.

Docking station will save your time, outside any other aspect, that it has to offer.

  • Satellite Pro A120: Which adapter should I use

I have a Satellite Pro A120 and urgent enough I need a new power supply. Can I go to PC World and buy any universal laptop charger, or do I have to buy something special?

    Thank you

    Sophie

    Hello

I recommend buying an adapter designed for satellite Pro A120.
In this case, you would be sure that the part is compatible and will not damage the circuit integrated motherboards due to different voltage to 100%!

Check this Toshiba options & Accessories European site for compatible adapters:

  • Re: Satellite Pro A120: cannot select an option on the recovery disk

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro A120, which has recently been faced with the "alert: System protection failure! "password:" problem that it turned up on some BIOS password unknown on its own in the middle of normal operation.

I got that fixed local Toshiba ASP.
But now, when I was about to reinstall the Windows cos she had slow, the possibility that the recovery media normally give to just format the first partition become invalid.

In the settings dialog box, the option is always there but it cannot be selected by clicking on it (from the color of the background showing this option not valid currently)... which means that the only selection (selected by default) is format all of the 38 GB... I don't want to do.

Someone knows what is wrong and how can I solve this problem.

I assume that you are using Windows XP and the restore CD also contains the XP operating system.
It s also interesting if this option has worked in the past?  :|

However, it s really mysterious that the solution cannot be executed and unfortunately I do not know why it happened

In the worst case, you'll have to back up data from the HARD drive and format the whole HARD drive :(

  • Satellite Pro A120 - 169 PSAC1E: Impossible to install the 64 bit OS

    Hello

    I have the Satellite Pro A120 (169) model PSAC1E-04X024BT and I inserted 2 x DA-PA3513U-1M2G (Dane-Elec 2 GB SODIMM PC2-5300) memory, so a total of 4 GB of memory.

I know to have 4 GB in a BONE, you need to run a 64 bit OS.
But my processor is an Intel Centrino DUO T2050 1.6ghz (Intel Core DUO T2050).

After reading the manual I was convinced that I am able to run a 64 bit OS... but the time of its installation, the Setup program will not continue... as my CPU is 32-bit...

Is this true? Or do I have to change something in the BIOS? (Version 3.4)

    Thank you

    Hello!

Yes, it true s that your processor supports only 32 bit and not 64 bit.
Here, you check only the Intel specifications posted by redhawk.

Sorry mate, but on this laptop, you can only use a 32 bit OS.

  • Satellite A100-635: is it possible to use the DDR2-667 RAM

I have a portable satellite a100-635 with 1024 MB of RAM DDR2-533. Is it possible to use the DDR2-667 RAM modules instead of 533 in this model? Thank you.

P.S. I doubt because all portable satellite I've seen so far have been equipped with 533 modules by default. Still the chipset supports officially the DDR2-667 (Intel 945GM) modules.

    Hello

I'm not 100% sure, but as the site says that it won't work, I think you can trust them, and it does not work.

  • Satellite Pro M30: Is it possible to restore the disk Win XP at least

I recorded the M30 Pro of the Satellite with Win XP Professional 5 years on the Toshiba-Europe website.
Is it possible to restore the disk Win XP at least?

I'll ask Toshiba for assistance (already done) or there is a way to create the disks on mine?

I'm sure someone went down this way (ar tried at least).

PS: it is a time for the upgrade of the HARD drive.

    Thank you all.
    Wall

Sorry, but I don't really know what you are meaning by the Win XP disk restore.

The Toshiba laptop was delivered with the Toshiba Recovery CD.
If you want to restore the OS from Windows XP that is installed on the HARD drive, then use this disk and reinstall the WinXP.
To start the installation, you must boot from the recovery CD.

If you want to create a clean image and then install Win XP with a CD of MS Windows, download the Toshiba driver and create the image using the tool like Norton Ghost third 3rd for example.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite Pro M70 - ist is possible to change the craphics controller?

Is it possible to change the graphics controller to my Satellite Pro M70...
If so, where to buy a new one?

    THX

    Hello

Well, in general it s is not possible to replace or update the graphics card.
But I compared a Satellite Pro M70 unit because this series of laptop was delivered with different hardware configurations and I found that these installed graphics cards:
Mobile Intel 915GM Express Chipset AlvisoGM 8 MB to 128 MB shared video memory
ATI MOBILITY RADEON X600SE 128 MB of video memory
ATI MOBILITY RADEON X 700 256 MB of video memory

However, in my opinion you can not change the graphics card

Does anyone know how can I fix?

    Hello

I think it's a question that should be checked by a Toshiba ASP.
I googled a bit but and someone has reported that a parameter must be changed to DMI

I think that this can be done by a technician of ASP.
Then you should get in touch with the guys and should ask for help and also handling

  • Satellite Pro A40: Is it possible to format the HARD drive without disk

I am passing on a Satellite Pro A40 to a brother. It is in very good condition, but has slowed down over the years. I want to get rid of my data (I have on a new machine) and speed up the system by formatting the hard drive.

The machine didn't come with a disc for Windows XP, or a recovery CD (just a CD "tools and utilities"). I'm sure the drive HARD will be partitioned, and I can format the drive without such a disc.

If this is true, how should I do?
    Thank you.

    Hello

I can't believe that you do not have recovery media.
The laptop must be supplied with recovery CD, Tools & Utilities CD, and WinDVD.

    But back to your question;
If you insert a new HARD disk, you will need to use the Toshiba Recovery CD or the original CD of Microsoft Windows to install the operating system.
The new drive is not partitioned HARD and doesn't have any OS pre-installed!

If you n t have the original CD of Microsoft OS you can contact the service provider allowed in your country and you can order it.

    I hope I could help

  • Satellite Pro A120 (PSAC1E-03Y010EN) no access to the BIOS

    Hi all

I upgraded my OS from XP - Pro to Win7 Ultimate 2010 March, no problem everything works OK. Now that I need more space, I want to upgrade the hard disk of 40 GB to 320 GB.

I can not access the bios to change the boot system (boot from DVD, for example), I can access the initial screen of the 4 menu at the start of the laptop but any icon highlight (disks, CD/DVD/etc), the laptop starts just Win7. I tried to use F12, DELETE, F2, etc.; all of them get the Select where I want to go, but as I said earlier, when I select one, the laptop starts just in Win7 from the hard drive.

My manual tells me to use the Toshiba HWSETUP to access the boot system, but its does not work on Win7 (90% CD-ROM of the tools do not work on/with Win7).

I downloaded the new drivers Win7 for Bios and other different pieces, some have installed and others have not. More (including the BIOS updated) claim that I am running a not recognized OS so used to install! How the Win7 is an unrecognized OS?

    So my questions are;
    1. How can I access the BIOS to set the boot system to boot from the CD/DVD then the local disk?
    2. is there a fix for this problem? (Looking through the forum, this is not a rare.)
    3. can I never boot/BIOS systems working properly?

    See you soon
    Dave

    Hello

    > 1. How to access the BIOS to set the boot system to boot from the CD/DVD then the local drive?

Usually, you can access Bios by pressing f2/f12 at startup, but you've already tried... Try the following:

    * Key esc (BIOS Toshiba) method *.
Press and hold the ESCAPE key.
    Turn on the laptop.
Press the F1 key when prompted.
The first page of the BIOS Setup screen appears.
If you have a utility called Toshiba hardware configuration (site in a windows environment) where you can choose the cd/DVD-ROM boot priority boot option

  • Satellite Pro 2100 is hot when you use the knee

    Hello.

    I have a 2100.
I started using it again after using it not for a few months.

I noticed when it is sitting on my lap if feels very hot and the fan comes on a very large number.
The problem is that I don't remember if it was always like this or if it's a recent thing.

Anyone know if this is normal behavior or the computer can run a bit on the warm side of the signs?

I have don t wonder that temperature increases when using the laptop on the lap.
The fact is that the cooling modules are placed in the bottom of the laptop and you would clutter the cooling fans using the laptop on the lap
I recommend to use the notebook on the desk and leave enough free space around the unit.
Last but not least, you should check if the fans are not clogged with dust and debris.
In most cases the dust prevents the cooling fans work properly and this leads to a higher temperature.

Clean the cooling modules with a jet of compressed air, that you can buy it from the other computer dealers or online.
