  It would be interesting to know what OS you are using. I have too many Satellite Pro A300 and I can t t notice nasal sound if the WIFI is enabled. My A300 works pretty well and doesn't make strange sounds.

  Maybe you have installed another OS, if you restore the OS from Toshiba by using the recovery disc or HARD drive recovery option.

  I installed Win7 on the laptop, and now I can't get any sound. When you set the volume control, the level display changes on the operating system, so I guess everything is ok with the connections.   I have a Satellite Pro L100 and I recently had to format the drive and install Windows XP.

  I don't have the CD to restart that came with the computer.

  I downloaded the drivers and utility on the toshiba site and checked that all were current and up to date.
