Can I place a Dell OptiPlex 755 with Intel Core 2 Duo in Windows 8 Pro to Windows Pro 8.1? I tried several times. I wonder if my computer does not meet the requirements for upgrade. How can I?
Hello Andrew,.
Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft community Forums.
According to the description, you want to upgrade to windows 8 for windows 8.1 on your system.
As you already use windows 8 on your system, you can try to upgrade to windows 8.1. However, there are some system requirements that are needed to run windows 8.1 correctly on your system. Please see the link below for the topic of system requirements.
Reference:
The system configuration required
Outside the system requirements, you will also need the windows 8.1-compatible drivers. There is a possibility that some devices may not work if the compatible drivers for windows 8.1 are not installed on your system. Driver are manufactured by the manufacturer of the system. It seems that Dell has not made drivers for windows 8.1.
Refer to the link checking the available drivers for your system.

Upgrade CPU on Satellite Pro C650-10Z
Hello
I was wondering if I could upgrade the processor in the Satellite Pro C650 10Z for better performance in games. Is it possible to change the processor of this laptop?
And if it is possible, will require computer support the AMD Phenom II X 4 840?[Thanks:]
Hey Buddy,
> I was wondering if I could upgrade the processor
This not s official in charge, and if you do that, you lose the warranty. In your case I wouldn t this becaue she s too risky. In the worst case you damage something and then you have to buy a new laptop.> for better performance in games
Game performance is mainly based on graphics card and no CPU, but updated graphics card is also not possible on laptop. On laptops there is no easy CPU or updates of graphics as on desktop computers.> it will support the AMD Phenom II X 4 840
Just for your information: the Phenom II X 4 840 is a desktop processor and not for laptops. ;) -
I have an iMac7, 1 with Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz, 2 GB memory, 500 GB storage, iOS10.6.8 and can update in 10.11.2. must I do cela or are there problems with the upgrade?
I don't know about other issues. There are always 'problems' with any upgrade. You weigh against the benefits. I know that you need more RAM. At least 4 GB, maybe more if you can. Don't forget that this system is produced at a time when most of the machines have + 8 GB RAM and when Apple said 'minimum' they really mean it. I recently inherited a MacBook that has 2 GB of RAM and the Mavericks. When I checked the memory, the use of the system was using 1.95 GB = nothing to run applications!

Satellite A350-13 b - update for Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000?
Hello
I have a Satellite A350-13 b with motherboard KTKAA-4571P. He came originally with Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 processor.
My question is, if this will work with the Intel Core 2 Quad Mobile Q9000 CPU?
Kind regards.
Hey Buddy,
The Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 is always very fast CPU with 2x2.4 GHz and Grande Cache L2. The processor is fast enough for all applications.
Why you want to upgrade?
Upgrading CPU's official unsupported. No one can say if another CPU would work and everything happens on your own risk. In addition, you should read this official document from Toshiba:

Satellite Pro 4300 - memory upgrade problem
Hello
I know that the issue has been already discussed several times, but it seems that none of the solutions or suggestions posted earlier apply to my situation.
I recently bought an old Toshiba Satellite Pro 4300. The laptop has a slot filled memory of 64 MB module of the system's total memory was 128 MB.
Because in my opinion, the system has worked to slow down, I decided to buy an additional memory module. I bought 128 MB - module TOSHIBA PA3005U k and placed in the slot BI was very surprised when I found that, after the upgrade, Windows showed that the total memory is 192 MB.
When I put the 128 MB in the slot module is and the old module of 64 MB in the slot B - the surprise was even bigger, given that windows showed only 128 MB.I first thought that the slot B is defective, but in this case, it would be impossible to get in the first place the 192 MB. Then I thought that the new module of memory was either defective or it was 64 MB instead of 128 MB, but this option is also likely, according to my observations. Furthermore, I checked with EVEREST software system and it recognizes the new module as 128 MB module, but does not see the old 64 MB module.
The situation is quite strange. Does anyone has an idea whay happens?
Kind regards
Sebastian
To my knowledge, the 4300 Satellite Pro can be upgraded to 320 MB max.
http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=5769&ft=m&St=364 MB module which was fitted with your laptop should not be removable.
So in this slot ONLY this 64 MB module could work properly.I know it's strange but the computer world is sometimes strange ;) you know :D

I have windows XP with SP2.
Device drivers audio USB is unable to detect my Casio keybaord (piano) after the upgrade to Intel core i5. Usually, when I connect my keyboard via USB, the drivers used to get automatically installed. But now he is unable to install the drivers and still shows the yellow "?" symbol. I tried everything but nothing seems to work. Someone please help. :-(
If you update your motherboard, you must install the drivers available from your mobo site and not from winupdate

Is there a CS2 for an iMac with Intel core duo processor, 2006?
I have an imac of 2006 with Intel core duo running on OS 10.6.8 (snow leopard) and I can not install any later operating system on my computer. Is there a version of Photoshop, I can install it on my computer? I can buy an unopened, full retail install version CS2, but the specs say that it is only good on a Mac to be able to. I find no indication than ever, there is a version of Intel - what are my options?
.. before someone suggests I buy a new computer, I'll put it simply: Yes, I know that my computer is a dinosaur. I can't buy a new computer for the moment.
Thank you!

There is no Intel of CS2 version. It's only PowerPC.
That said, OS X 10.6.8 can run PowerPC applications but only if Rosetta is installed. Rosetta is not installed by default on Snow Leopard.
Relocation of Rosetta | Macworld
That said, you are only entitled to use the CS2 without activation link above if you already have a CS2 (or earlier version) license.

Intel Core 2 CPU 6600 @ 2.4 GHz
Would be ESXi and 2 instances of Ubuntu run (quickly) on a computer that has an Intel Core 2 CPU 6600 @ 2.4 GHz and 6gigs of ram? Also, is there a controller raid SATA for under $ 250, which would work well with ESXi and 4-2 to western digital disks?
Thank you
Ed
Depends on the workload, but it should work perfectly. Assuming that there is no other problems with the installation, you might look at LSI on the hardware compatibility list . LSI has reasonable support in ESX (i) and hardware monitoring agents when the LSI are included in the standard install ESX (i). ESX (i) has a limit on the size of the data store. You would need a controller which can create virtual drives or virtual LUN on a table. Individual virtual LUNS and disks should be slightly smaller than 2 TB

I just bought the last laptop MacBook Pro with the Intel Core i7. I would like to know which version of Firefox to download on it.
What is the latest version and how to find? I know it is 3.6 but 3.6.13? OU.14? OU.15? Or what? I don't want to spoil, so I'm asking for advice. Is there someone out there who can help you? -
2560p HP: HP 2560p with Intel Core i5 - 3320M processor upgrade
I wanted to update my HP 2560p with an Intel Celeron B840 to a processor Intel Core i5 - 3320M. According to Intel, the socket is the same: FCPGA988.
Updated the BIOS to F62, but when I place the new cell processor tries to start and stops immediately. Then the laptop automatically tries to start a second time and stops again.
I bought the i5 - 3320M opportunity, so there is the possibility, I bought a broken.
Is it possible to upgrade the 2560p with an i5 - 3320M? Is it compatible? Was I forgetting something? Or is just broken CPU?
Not even in theory. You must also consider the motherboard chipset, in your case QM67 Express. It only takes the generation processors 2d and a few eccentric 3rd people but not the i5 - 3320M.
The Forum is still available for this kind of inquiry before purchasing parts and break the set of screwdrivers.

Better to get the manual and study what HP processors has listed as compatible.

Satellite Z930 - Possible WiDi with the Intel Core i7 CPU?
Hello
I have a Toshiba Satellite Z930 and I am trying to expand the display of the monitor to a new TV that I just bought wireless. -Is is possible to connect to the laptop via WiDi?
Main specifications of my laptop are:
-Intel Core i7-3667U @2. 00 Ghz
-Wireless LAN - AR9485WB-EG Atheros wireless network adapterAny ideas?
M.
Hello
Intel WiDi is based on Intel technology and this support depends on the Wlan card built in Notepad.
You need to use the Intel WiDi, Intel WLAN module which is part of the 6000 Centrino series. As you mentioned in you original post above; the laptop seems to be equipped with an Atheros WLan card.
The Atheros WLan card does not support the Intel WiDi and therefore, you will not be able to use this technology. -
Satellite Pro C660 - possible upgrade to 8 GB of RAM?
Hello
I recently bought a PSC0MA Satellite Pro C660-01K00V from a seller online with guarantee all covered. He came like a usual model would come like but with 6 GB of RAM. I thought it was a great buy so I bought it.
After it happened, I looked at the specs on the website and it said that the max is 4 GB of RAM. I don't know what happened. The memory in the machine is 1 x 4 GB Kingston 1 x Samsung (original).
Could you tell me what it is and if I can probably not even 8 GB hold?
Hi foolman555,
Why you n t according to the official specs?
Satellite Pro C660 has Intel GL40 Express Chipset and the chipset is limited to 4 GB of RAM. This means that your laptop supports only 4 GB of RAM and no more.
But usually 4 GB is enough for most applications, and I don't see a reason why a 6 GB upgrade would be so important ;)

Satellite Pro P300 - BIOS upgrade to 64 - bit
Hello
I have a Satellite Pro P300 - 266 PSPCDE and I am very happy with him.
Since I have a WIN7 64 bit OS, ready to use and 8 GB of RAM I need to update the BIOS to 64-bit.
I found a WinPhlash file on the support site of Toshiba (toshiba - tro.de) bios called - 20090226124829.zip. I tried to use it as described in the Toshiba support on the use of WinPhlash (http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9502M10000R01.htm) page. Also, I made an exception for WinPhlash in the registry of the DEP.
It still does not work.
Since I am a user knowing very mediocre modern computers I guess I'm doing something wrong or I can be monitor something... can anyone please help me upgrade my system to its full capabilities?
Thank you
Aernout
You don't need to upgrade BIOS. If everything works well don t change anything.
I have Satellite P300 with preinstalled Win7 32 bit and works perfectly. How do your shopping with the 64-bit version?
