Satellite Pro P100 - unable to connect to Internet via LAN

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro P100. Model no SPSA4A-005002

I used my recovery disc and erased from my computer, because of a virus and now I can't connect to internet via cable but my wireless internet works perfectly.
Its quite dead there is no lights on the back of the laptop where I plug in the cable.

Hello

Your network card is properly recognized in Device Manager?
In your case, I would try to update the LAN driver. You can get the latest version here:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

In addition, you check the version of the BIOS. The most recent version must be installed and load default settings here.

In the worst case, it s only a hardware problem and must exchange the motherboard together :(

    Hello

Vista and XP supports similar settings and general there should be no problems using the LAN card.
First check to see if the network card driver has been successfully installed! This can be checked in the device-> network cards Manager

If there is everything ok please access the LAN properties and automatically sets all (TCP/IP, DHCP, etc.) on

I also recommend checking all security settings. Vista supports the new firewall and security features to lock down access to the internet.
Should take a look in the options!

    Good luck and best regards

    Hello

As Akuma suggested you should ensure that you are using the latest driver WLAN on Toshiba website for your laptop.
I founded your model on Toshiba Canada website: http://support.toshiba.ca

Your network configuration is not kwon to me, but you should check the TCP/IP settings. If you have DHCP do you get an IP address from the router? You can check this in the start menu > run > cmd > ipconfig/all

If you use a 3rd party firewall, you must disable.

    Good bye

  • Satellite Pro M70: Unable to connect to the WLan with ConfigFree

    Salvation in the Forum.

I have problems with a satellite Pro M70, about gaining control of wireless connections.

When I scan with "The Radar" I have ConfigFree for available wireless accesspoints, I get several points available, but it is not able to connect to one of them. I can read their status and see their marker of WEP encryption.

When I try to connect to one of them, I get a pop-up dialog, that said (translated from Danish) 'suppliers another software is in control of the wireless network card. When you try to configure a connection through the classic way to windows, windows States that "windows is not able to configure this wireless connection - if you have another program to manage wireless connections, you must use it". I guess it refers to ConfigFree...?

Is the unnamed "other provider" associated Windows or perhaps associated McAfee (Security Suite 2007)?

If you are familiar with this problem or something like that I'd be please to know.

Also - where can I enter keys for WEP encryption for my friends in ConfigFree WLAN routers?

    > Trying to make a connection through the classic way to windows, windows States that "windows is not able to configure this wireless connection - if you have another program to manage wireless connections, you must use it". I guess it refers to ConfigFree...?

It should not be a ConfigFree. According to you, an Intel ProSet utility or a Client Atheros wireless network adapter might be controls the Wlan configuration!

Please check if one of the two control the WiFi network tools and turn off!

    > where can I enter keys for WEP encryption for my friends in ConfigFree WLAN routers

You should have three different tabs in the utility Configfree.
The second device settings provides the list of devices, and you should see the wireless network connection.
Choose and use the button network connections.
There you should find some encryption settings!

Also check the profile settings tab and the option called security settings

    Hello

    I brought a 2nd hand Satellite Pro, model version SP6100 (PS610E-029ZV-EN), P4 1.7 Ghz, 512 MB, 30 GB, with Windows 2000 Pro loaded.

I can't connect to my wireless router. The switch is in the correct position.

I want to change to XP using the key provided with the new laptop (dual OS) however I can't reformat using a XP disc at the start up or if I use the recovery cd (start with holding C and let go when he works up) it starts but displays 'specification drive not valid' three times and charges Win2000.

Can someone advise how (or if!) Can I reformat I want?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    See you soon.

Are you sure that the wireless network adapter has been installed in the laptop?
    Check in Device Manager

On some series WLan is optional. This means that the WLan card is not installed, but it is possible to install an and, consequently, the laptop contains the WLan switch.

I contacted Netgear, and they suggested changing the name of the router to remove any trait symbols "_" underscore, I made it today but always this annoying message on the cell phone. It does the same thing on my Nokia Lumia 1320!

I tried deleting found connections and starting from scratch and also changed the name of the router (which displays correctly when you scan for Wifi on the C50).

Now it starts to get really wound up... Please please help?

    Thank you

    Hello

You should check the configuration of the WLan router.
First, you will need to use the same standard WLan (802.11 A/B/G/N) for the wireless network, as well as for the Wlan router.
In the device-> Waln Manager map properties-> Advanced tab, you can choose the standard Wlan to Wlan card.
You should also check the settings (WPA/WPA2 AES, TKIP) encryption. Not all standards are supported by each Wlan adapter! So please pay attention to this fact.

Last but not least, you should also check if these connection problems using various channels (1-11)

  • Satellite Pro L650 - unable to connect to the wireless network

    Dear Sir.

I just bought a SatPro L650 (Intel i5) with welcome window 7 2 weeks and struggled to connect to internet. Each time it gives me the 'Network security Key Mismatch' message. I used the WPA/WEP key found under my Thompson router. Despite the advice to use Cap Lock still does not work. When I connect the router using the (yellow) Ethernet cable for the new laptop, I have no problem with the evaluation of the internet.

I desperately need help and hope somebody can advice me how to overcome this problem in secular terms step by step (sorry I'm not a savy TI). Or is there a setting that I need to do on both the new laptop, as well as on my desktop (connected to the router).

    Appreciate your advice.

    See you soon,.
    John

    Hey Buddy,

    > "Incompatibility of network security key.
This would mean the WLAN network isn t correct key.

If the key on the bottom side of your router doesn t work it seems that you have changed the WLAN key in the past
In the configuration of the router, you can change the WLAN key and set a new one.

    Check this box!

By the way: If you can access the Internet through an Ethernet cable, configuration of the router to ISP (Internet Service Provider) is correct and that the problem must be the WLAN configuration.

  • Satellite Pro A200 failing to connect with iphone via wifi hotspot

My apologies if I get some of the jargon wrong, but I'm pretty useless when you want IT emits.

I have a Satellite Pro A200 and had problems connecting to various wifi connections.
The computer could see the wifi connection and connect to it, but I wasn't able to connect to the internet.

The question of the Office was arranged by our IT support guy (security settings on the new router we too complex for my PC or something like that), but he has not been able to solve the problem of not being able to connect to my iphone to use the 'hotspot' via the wifi function.

Someone there knows a way to solve this, or is it a simple fact of the laptop is too old and really need to update?

Thanks for any help that anyone is able to give.

    > Someone know a way to fix this or is it a simple fact of the laptop is too old and really need to update?

This isn't a question of the age of the laptop
As far as I know not that support all mobile operators
You should first ask your mobile operator if you can use the tethering service.

If this would be supported in my mobile operator, then connect the iphone to the laptop first
So that you have two options: you can use the BT connection (in this case check if computer laptop also supports BT) or via a USB cable that came with the iPhone.

(PS: as far I know to attach is supported by iOS3.0 and higher)

After that the iphone was connected to the laptop, you must activate the tethering on iphone.
Under settings of-> network, you should see the option internet tethering it must be enabled.
Now you should be able to see that in the Network & Center sharing control panel.

    Say hello to new raj_sach.

You have to call Comcast and ask another router.  This model is known to have many questions.

If you take a look at the job for the router (click here), you can see that it supports up to Windows 7.  This means that all users on Windows 8 will have an update of the firmware (even if you have Windows 7, I wanted to report it).  ARRIS published an update that solves a number of problems with this router - but it will not work on the version you get from Comcast.  This means that Comcast will have to release their own update to solve problems.  You can see on this site on the site of Comcast that this router is known to have problems.

You can see similar problems in this article and this thread.

Contact Comcast immediately and ask for a new router.

    Have a great day!

  • Satellite Pro A10 - unable to connect to the internet

I have an old Satellite SPA10 who lost the internet connection a year ago.
    The components in question are:
    Ethernet controller
    Network controller
    Video controller
    Video controller (VGA)
I tried many attempts to install drivers to replace those already on, but each attempt failed. Toshiba downloads, I used were from the following link:
    NES http://www.Toshiba.co.uk/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=UK&mode=allMachi & action = sea...
I use a desktop computer that is ok, although it has its own flaws and want to return to the use of the Satellite.

    Any suggestions please?
(With the help of Windows XP)

    Hello

This old model of laptop is supported for Windows XP Home edition and Windows XP Home edition is not supported by Microsoft more.
In any case if you want to have good working machine I recommend to do clean install of Windows XP Home edition.
After doing this you also install all the necessary drivers and tools and utilities.

This laptop model was offered with Windows XP Home SP1 edition at this time.
You have Windows XP Home edition installation disc? Is the new installation of Windows XP Home edition an option for you?

If so, I can help you with this and send you the order of installation exact for the drivers, tools and utilities.

One last thing: you have the original installation of recovery disc?

  • Satellite P100: How to connect to internet via WiFi?

I read a post above that says that the sticker on the bottom of the laptop ' wireless network: no w/l ' means that there are no installed wireless.
I'm fairly certain that my Satellite P100 has installed. I customized my phone, ensuring that I have added wireless for the school.

I have an on-off switch for the wireless on the case. Also, when I entered a zone wireless for the first time, a program (Q-Connect) came.
I reinstalled Windows XP and wonder if it is a software that is missing (which has been the case with other similar programs audio).

This could be the operator error?
    I don't know anything wireless.
How to connect to wireless internet?

    Hello

First, you must be sure that your laptop has WLan card to 100%. Go to the Device Manager and check the network adapters section. If you will see card WLan (intel or atheros) then you unit definitely has the Wlan card.
To use the WiFi network, you must configure your Wlan router. Consult the manual.
You must then activate the Wlan switch on the side of the laptop and use the combination FN + F8 to select the WiFi network.

For the other steps, you can also check this forum wireless. Here you will find a lot of descriptions.
