Hello

I just bought this new computer and I want to assure you that my battery lasts as long as possible.

For now, I took what I have my computer plugged in most of the time. Is this a good idea? I am afraid that if I put in, it will get used very quickly he'll charge and uncharge, but I don't know that it is the best option.

Thank you!

My brand-new satellite M70 battery no longer works. I haven't used the phone for about a week and when I tried to start it (on drums), he did nothing. The battery was still charged (63%) I need to connect the power adapter to make it work.

During this time the battery LED is still orange. Battery is not charging, the battery remains at 63%. I tried to remove the battery for a while and put it in, but that does not change...

How can I solve this problem?

    Hello

Maybe the battery has a malfunction. It would be very interesting to know if this problem occurs after the replacement of the battery.
According to your assignment the guarantee must be valid, that the battery replacement should be done for free.

When I turn on my Satellite P100, battery light flashes and the icon shows the power of the battery power, but do not load, then it turns into support for a few seconds.

Remove the battery, connect the laptop to AC power only and turn it on. When the operating system is running properly, put the battery on the site and let us know what happen when you do this.

  • Can I use my Lenovo 3000 N500 without a battery using only the AC adapter?

Hi just ask if I can use my Lenovo 3000 N500 without the battery using only the AC adapter on? Because I use it almost 24 hours. Thank you...

    Hello leo_joel,

Yes, you can use it without battery.

But I would recommend that it is glued to, cause the powermanager will load automatically for the health of the battery.

Also it s quiet possible, that your won´t system running at full capacity, if the battery is glued on.

  • Satellite U920T - battery short time after 2 years of use of work

    Hi all

My 2 years old computer U920t laptop / Tablet satellite ultrabook has bad battery life. The battery will only last up to 2 hours before requiring charging on the basis of data entry doc/excel word normal.

Any ideas on how I can improve it?

The Toshiba pc health monitor function constantly informs me that I need to replace the battery because of normal wear and tear, but I thought that the battery is an 'internal' part means that it cannot be replaced?

If anyone can offer some advice that would be great!

    Hello

In my view, it is generally any kind of a rule or a standard on the battery life. On some machines battery hold capacity for an extended period of time by comparison with other models of laptops.
Is that over time the battery will discharge capacity and result will be reduction of working time.

You can try to increase the hours of work change some power options and turn off some unnecessary background processes.
Several new models of laptops have a newer design where battery can be removed so simply and it is placed under the lower lid but it can be replaced also. A day where you need again the closest contact Toshiba service provider and they can replace it for you.

My a300' is very low for me... * on the 1h30m

Give me everything consults to check the battery warning level (wear) and if it would be good to do the calibration (and how)

    Tanks...

    Hello

    1.5 hours is not bad!
Battery working time is always based on the use of the laptop.
Battery needed to dump applications much faster running who need more performance for laptop.

    For example, to watch DVDs;
In these cases, the reader of CD/DVD to run all the time. This waste a lot of power.
You can reduce the brightness of the screen in order to increase the working time of battery.

But note; sooner or later, the battery would die that s normal and during the use of the laptop the battery loses the own performance.

You can try to calibrate the battery; Completely discharge the battery and charge it again. Repeat this several times

  • Satellite 2430-301 uses battery plugged

    Hello!
Sometimes, when executing programs from CPU, my battery begins to discharge up to zero, while the Toshiba Energy Manager even acknowledges that the laptop is plugged. After leaving the program (game), the doesn´t of the battery starts to charge, but the laptop won´t, turn off because it gets the energy cable s.
    What harm there?
    Thanks for the help!

    Hi Hendrik,

It is possible that your power adapter begins to fail and cannot provide enough power for your laptop to meet any demand particularly heavy (such as using heavy graphics games). This will result in the power electronics from your laptop to battery power.

Sometimes, disconnect and reconnect the power cord will return things to normal.

  • Satellite A210 - battery and no boot

    Hello!

I used my about 4 years by Satellite A210BX as usual two days ago. The next day, I wanted to start the computer, but it does not start. Just brought an error message indicating "dead battery"... So I searched the Toshiba site and found that it might be the RTC battery for the time and date settings. The laptop battery was fully charged during the last night, but it still does not boot to the top. Just a black screen and you can hear the fan running. But nothing else. No BIOS, no letters on the screen, just nothing :-( If the laptop is loaded via a regular power outlet in the front of the case three LEDS are on (the cable, the SDNA circle battery smbolshe). All three symbols are blue, flashing light.

The advice I can do now? I found an article on the battery to charge for a few hours when the laptop is on RTC.
I will try that today. AY of other things I can do now.

    Thank you very much
    Florian

    Hey,.

I doubt that this has something to do with the RTC battery. This battery can be charged if the laptop is connected to an AC adapter for 24 hours, but this should be mentioned in the user manual

Can you start the laptop with AC/DC adapter only?

If this is not the case try removing the battery and the AC adapter for an hour and then test it again.

In the worst case, it s a hardware malfunction and it would need you will need to contact the technicians of laptop for help :(

    Hello

I think that the new battery must be tested, but before you do make sure you use the latest version of the BIOS
I mean its battery problem or electronic books power supply and before portable s equipment is turned on, the laptop must be tested using the new pile of work well.

  • Satellite A660 - battery discharge per day in shutdown/Hibernate implementation

I presented my Satellite A660 for troubleshooting, after that months of testing a battery discharged 5% / day in hibernation (4 + % / closing day). When the battery is removed from the laptop, there is no noticeable effluent. The discharge when the battery is inserted is much higher than a previous laptop I've owned, but Toshiba says it's normal.

I was wondering if I could ask people for what they found to be normal (compared to what they have found to be problematic).

  • Re: Satellite A300 - battery after upgrading to Windows 7

    Hi all

I have with me the notebook toshiba Satellite A300.
Bought the UNITED Arab Emirates. I just upgraded my pc to windows 7 and it seems to have affected my battery life, I guess.

Anyone has idea about hw long battery last, I mean hours.

Now, I can only use it for nearley 30 min... Some blog said of updateing the bios.

Is this the reason realley or is the problem of windows 7 with my battery, experts advise please.

    Thank you, vb sbar

    Hello

I don't know if the update of the BIOS would help, but if the new BIOS is available for you notebook series, then it s a m updated value.

But you should also check the Win 7 power management settings.
    Please check this Toshiba HowTo:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=41

It s on vista but Vista power management is very similar to Windows 7.

Here you must change the battery more user-friendly options.

  • Satellite C660 - battery not charging

    Hello

My laptop Satellite C660 series is just over a year.

I went to use and a message appears saying that my battery was dead and use a different power source.
I plugged the adapter, but nothing happened.

Does that mean that my battery is dead or the adapter is broken or worse still, my computer is dead.

He had no idea what could be wrong or is it just a new battery needed.

    Thanks for any help.

What exactly happens when you connect the power adapter?
What is the status of the DC IN / battery indicator?

The * green * colour indicates the adapter CA is plugged everything in feeding correctly to the computer and the battery is fully charged

The * orange * color indicates the adapter is plugged in and the battery is being charged

The * indicator flashing Amber * indicates the battery charge is low. the adapter must be connected to the battery. Or it might indicate the problem with feeding

    * No light *-> under other conditions the indicator does not illuminate.

  • Satellite L750 - battery problem

I just encountered a problem with my laptop Toshiba which has wonder.

8 months ago, I bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite L750.
The laptop has Windows 7 Home Premium, 4 GB of RAM and processor Intel Core2Duo B960.
The laptop has met all my expectations and I was happy with it.

Last night when I took it out, I noticed that the battery had 45 minutes left on it such as measured by battery meter (which I know can be inaccurate). I wasn't worried because I had only a little to do but all of a sudden and without warning my laptop shut down on me.

When I came out the power cord and restarted, there is a warning near the battery icon in the Notification bar system that says something like: "there is a problem with the battery. Switch to HQ in order to avoid the sudden closure and loss of data.

Since I'm already on ca I do not worry and my laptop worked fine but I'm worried.
I've had my laptop for 8 months, and already the battery has failed?
    What happens here?

I know that they are not lacking, but I had computer last for 4 or 5 years.
My girlfriend bought a Toshiba (a cell phone different, I know) two years ago and uses here a lot more hard that I do and the battery's still going strong.

Is this a problem documented with Toshiba or just a stroke of luck for me?
Although I found a very cheap site price * cbatterie.com* I can certainly buy another battery, but I won't be happy if it fails in a short period of time.

    Any ideas on that?
    Thanks for all the help.

As you know autonomy has little time running. On some laptops, it runs on some more long.
We cannot say with certainty what the problem with your battery but watch carefully if the problem persists and if you are sure that the battery is at the end of his life during the first contact the nearest Toshiba service provider, explain the situation and try to get a new one for free.

  • Satellite P30 - battery will not work correctly

    Hi all

I have a Satellite P30 for more than a year now and overall I am very satisfied with this mobile 'desktop '.
The worrying thing is that I keep the laptop high time constant to allow room for the fans. (If they get hot the laptop just turns off).

My question is about my battery about 3 months ago, the problem began, suddenly at random time my laptop can not regocnize battery which mean that even if the cable ca is in hes runnin on battery and goes so goes out after a while. I always leave the battery in the laptop when I use it because the cable ca is not quite stable more unfortunately so I need to keep a book on the cable in order to make it work.
Is it possible that I can claim a new battery or do something about the problem? It is very difficult when I'm workin and all of a sudden the light just goes and I know that I have a max of 30 min before he died.
Please let me know what I can do, thank you

    Alexander Wiegand

    Hi Alexander,.

I don't think that the problem is with your battery, it is more likely to be a bad contact on the ca cable where it plugs into your laptop. In general, the ca card makes an intermittent contact and that the power of fools management system into believing that AC power has been disconnected. It follows that the power, then transfers to battery power and it ejects then until the powers of the unit off.

I managed to solve this problem on my SA30 anchoring the power cable at the back of the laptop so that there is no constraint on the card.

With regard to the problem of overheating, computers laptop modern can generate a lot of heat and requires a lot of cooling air to keep things cool. Make sure that the cooling system is cleaned of dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner pipe placed on the intakes on a regular basis.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite P30: Battery appears to disconnect from supply electricity

    Hello

I have a Satellite P30-133 laptop computer, and the problem I have is that sometimes it seems as if the laptop does not work / connected to the battery. The battery indicator can say 70% etc, then it may stop abruptly. Or if I remove the power she sometimes stops immediately. Other times he fully run without a problem. Its as if the connection from the laptop to the battery intermittently has problems.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem before?

    Hello

You suggest that laptop you can not stop using the battery.
    Am I wrong?
Well, very strange. I don't know if this problem occurs due to software or hardware m malfunction. It's not easy to say.
Have you tried to recover the operating system? If this isn't the case, so I recommend to do. (don t forget the backup) Don t install any 3rd party applications.
Then you can test your laptop if the problem occurs.
If this doesn t matter persists so I guess it's a malfunction of the software. But if it happens again, so there must be something wrong with the hardware. Maybe the power supply electronic problem.
