Satellite T110-13R - convert Windows 7 64-bit in Windows XP

Hello

Anyone with experience to convert (or wipe the HARD drive completely) this computer in a Windows XP version that is well known and controlled?

Thanks for your replies.

Hi Xplover,

Yes, it is possible to install Windows XP instead of Windows 7. I checked Toshiba driver download page, and according to the various drivers support Windows 7 and Windows XP. You can get all the drivers for the two versions of Windows

But before you install XP, you must create the drive of Toshiba recovery if she s does not. This disc contains a picture of the factory settings and can restore preinstalled Windows version each time. It s a disk bootable, and easy to use.
Simply start preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator and create the startup disk or a USB key.

After that, you can start with the Windows XP installation. You install XP with Service Pack 2 at least, but I'd recommend final SP3 because it contains updates of security important, etc. Then, you can start with the installation of the driver.

It is perhaps useful, so here's my XP on s T110 installation command:

Also check that the latest version of the BIOS is installed.

    Good luck! :)

Maybe you have a virus on your laptop and so it doesn t start the software anymore. You use AntiVirus software and have you run a scan?

For the moment, I doubt that it s a bad material work then in the worst case, you will need to reinstall the laptop using the Toshiba recovery disc. It will wipe the entire HARD disk and restore the factory settings.

Any suggestion or tips to try will help save my sanity!

    Thanks for your help.

    John

    > have updated the BIOS and think I have updated all drivers wirelss, but could be the problem.
If you need to make sure that you use the latest WLan driver.
The driver can be downloaded here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

The laptop uses the Realtek RTL8191SE of WLan card.
Please also reset the settings of the Wlan router. I had a lot of problems with my WLan and after the reset of the router, performance problems disappeared.

  • Satellite T110: Where to find software for Win 64 bit Toshiba

My netbook Toshiba T110 supplied with Windows 7 home 64-bit pre-installed.
I have some critical applications that will only run on the 32-bit version, so I downgrade.

I ordered a 500 GB hard drive to install the 32-bit version (keeping the original disc for his return to 64-bit if necessary in the future, since no installation disks have been provided, just a recovery partition). My planned fix will add specific programs of Toshiba to activate the eco, WiFi and bluetooth via the function etc. keys and sleep & etc. of switching.

Are the files of installation for these programs available somewhere? and if yes in 32-bit versions?

    Hello!

I think that this is not a problem. Windows 7 is only a beta OS and at the moment, the pilot decision-making is not very good.

You might find some drivers on the site of the factory of the WLAN card. In your case, it should be Realtek.

  • I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L305-S5894 with Windows Vista Home Premium installed (32 bit). Unable to get a backup to a flash drive. Error: 0 x 81000029

Original title: I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L305-S5894 with Windows Vista Home Premium installed (32 bit).  Unable to get a backup to a flash drive.

After back back, very many updates of windows, my computer is full of problems and it is not representative of the restore points far enough back to correct.  I want really to save my data and programs for flash drive (s) and then go for a full recovery of the system (return to factory).  When you try to do the backup on a 4 GB USB key I get an error including 0 x 81000029.  I have seen posted answers to this.  Everything is included to aid Vista disk from the window which was not included when I bought my computer. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

The following article should be useful. To use system recovery options, you have Vista installation disc. OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) repeatedly will install on the computer Windows recovery environment. To cross check if it is installed, try the following steps.

1 start the computer and press the F8 key continuously to get advanced boot menu options.
    2. on the menu advanced startup options, check if the Startup Repair tool is in the list.
    3. If so, select it and press ENTER.
    4. If not, then you should organize a Vista installation disc.

You may receive error messages when you try to perform a backup operation on a Windows Vista-based computer
