Save a form of attachment

I need to add multiple PDF forms as an attachment (this is a Government provided the XML form) in an another PDF with a hyperlink to open the form. I have this work, but when I open the form, the original PDF is no longer open, and also when I save the completed form, it didn't is not updated in the original PDF form, nor it ask me for a location to save the form. I don't know where it's saving, if it's still (I can't find an updated file with that name anywhere on my computer).

Is it possible to add as an attachment to the master PDF and have it taped ideally either back to the original document, or to prompt the user for a location to save it when they have completed the form?

Exactly how you set the link to open the attachment? If it is a link of type "Go to a page in another document", as opposed to "Open a file", you can change the link after you create and specify that the document opens in a new window, which will keep the Open original. When you make changes and save, it must record in the attached document. It does for me at least.

Note that the preview is notorious for corrupt PDF forms when he saves and there bad assumption for them first. For more information on this, see: http://kb2.adobe.com/community/publishing/885/cpsid_88564.html

Order form in order to be registered with the player, it must be enabled for the drive. How do depends on which version of Acrobat you are using:

Acrobat 9: Advanced > extend features in Adobe Reader

Acrobat 10: File > save as > Reader Extended PDF > activate additional features

In order to attach it to an e-mail, you can use an action to "Submit a form" in an event of the button mouse upward, by specifying a URL of the type mailto and that the full PDF is included. Another flexible option is to use the mailDoc method to JavaScript, which has been discussed here before. If you need more information, post again.

  • Save a form with a different name

I created a 2 forms in Adobe LiveCycle ES2 and saved. I also opened in Adobe Pro and extended rights for end users save the form. When a user entered information into the text fields and tries to save it under a different name, the form does not save filled in the data. I am creating a workflow between the end user and my Department, but we have no access to a database. My goal is to have the user to download the form, fill out the form and save it with a specific naming convention (XXXXX-Date), and then open the e-mail and attach the form (the submit button will not work with our email client). The Department may examine the form and the data entered into the form and save it under the same name. They will send by email the form to the end user. I hope have access to a database in the next 6 to 12 months and possibly to avoid registration and e-mail but I need to get this resolved now.

I have attached the forms that I am working on.

Your question is in the binding of each field tab. You have it set to None which means exclude the data in this field of the data file. Change to normal, and it will include this field in the data file.

  • I made a form for my clients, I did this form with a button "submit" button, the button will save the form and send it, I did the URL to go to a different (different to mine) e-mail address but when I distribute the form and it is complete

I made a form for my clients, I did this form with a button "submit" button, the button Save the form and send it, I did the URL to go to a different (different to mine) e-mail address but when I distribute the form and it is supplemented by my clients it send to my email address not the URL how to change this.

No matter how you have configured the Send button when you use the feature distribute the form. There are some e-mail address is in your identity preferences (Edit > preferences > identity) and use it. If you can change the email address it or not to use distribute the form and the button send the value you want.

One thing that happens when you use the feature to distribute the form is the form is enabled Reader, you can do separately, but you really shouldn't do if the form must be used by others. The dispenser a form must activate using their copy under license of Acrobat Reader.

  • How can I save a form so that the data is visible.  Currently, I don't see what has been typed on the form by clicking on the cell and then it disappears when I move to the next cell.

How can I save a form so that the input data are visible.  When I click on the cell, I can see what has been entered, but when I go to the next cell, the data is hidden again.  I would like to print the file with the visible information that has already been entered.

To clarify what mentioned TSN, forms PDF that are used and saved by the application on a Mac are corrupt in a number of ways. When a form that has been corrupted by the Preview is opened in Acrobat/Reader, one of the symptoms is exactly what you describe. If you have access to Acrobat and the original form, empty, not corrupted, you can export the form data in a data file (e.g., FDF) and import the shape of FDF data in the blank form.

    Hi stevel64136712,

Here to inform that you can save the form with the functionality of Reader Extended option that allows users of Acrobat Reader can fill out this form & send you the back. For this refer to this link:- creating and distributing forms PDF in Adobe Acrobat DC

Users can save the file with the option "save under" at their end if the document is not have any security.

You can add a button "submit" so that users can send the form to you after completing it, please refer to this link:- buttons action in PDF, Adobe Acrobat forms

I would like to know if it works.

  • How to allow a user to save a form completed (and now unmodifiable) created in Adobe Acrobat DC?

How to allow a user to save their form to fill out (that I created in Adobe Acrobat DC) so that the fields are more editable when they return the form by e-mail?

If you submit a script, ASP.net server (see example below), you can merge and/or "Flatten" the form of PDF with iTextSharp for .NET platforms. You can also flatten the PDF with iText JAVA platform. You can also create Adobe's JavaScript action button validate before submitting it to an email that goes through the fields, making them 'read-only '; but, the ReadOnly property can easily be retroconcu.

Note: Submission to a script on the server also side bypasses software email client side and send the request using an SMTP account.

    See the #3 example:

  • Download/save any forms replied (not spreadsheet data)

I run a school and want to configure question papers using Adobe forms that my students can respond to documents and present their answer sheets.  My question is: after you have submitted the answer sheets forms, I need to download the forms, because they are treated and not like for example a spreadsheet poster data entered on Forms.  I need to print the answer sheet of all the students to put in their portfolios.  Is this possible?

In other words, the result that I must download must be the form displays the questions and answers.

The easiest way is to create a button and use an action to "Submit a form" where you specify a URL of the type mailto and specify that the entire PDF file is submitted, rather than simply the form data. Turn a tutorial for more information. Users will be able to partially fill and save and return later to finish. Player 11 (XI) and DC users will be able to save the form, but if you have all users of previous versions of the player, you will need to take the extra step activation reader the document as a step of lst before distributing it to your users. This allows these Alder versions of player to register the updated form the.

Email is not reliable stuff, but it may be sufficient for your needs. The biggest problem today is learning to use Adobe Reader (or Acrobat) and not a spectator no Adobe PDF that does not support the action of submission form.

  • I created a form.  I want to just fix the form of an email, send to be completed by the customer, the customer save the form and email completed for his back to me.  I don't want or need follow-up.  The way I understand adobe procedures is

How I underdstand procedure with Acrobat Pro DC, it's that I first have to distribute the form.  The client cannot save the form, unless I do it, and then I send the form distributed to the customer.  On the side of the user, I think it will confuse most of the clients that I work with

There are two ways of submitting the form by e-mail without using Adobe distribution methods and each method has some problems.

The easiest way is to create a 'normal send button' and set the URL of submit button to point to an email address as "mailto:you[at]domain.com". You need to enable rights of use on the PDF file in order to receive all of the PDF document in your Inbox; because Adobe Reader users are limited to show only data formats (FDF, XFDF and XDP, XML, HTML) only. This method is very reliable; because submission will fail if end-users have not properly installing the software side mail client by default, or if they use the webmail.

The most reliable method is to define the button submit to point to a script on the side of server such as ASP.net or PHP; because the script bypasses software email client-side and sends the request through a SMTP server. Both methods require that the end-users to submit using Adobe Reader or Adobe Reader browser plug-in. Integrated PDF by default "spectators" of the browser are not able to submit PDF forms, they may not read rights of use of Adobe, and they are not compatible with LiveCycle XFA forms.

Do you know what type of PDF you use? Acrobat, LiveCycle XFA or XFA dynamic static

You have a web server? If so, is this a PHP Apache or Microsoft ASP.net host?

  • Save a form after completing unmodifiable

I have a pdf with field form for our sales team.  The form is protected while allowing a print and fill in the password fields.  Currently the sales team fills out the form and will record in the customer file and then email it to the customer.

Problem is that the customer has the possibility to change the form fields too.  I am train to discover how the sales team can save a form filled and either lock the form or what I know that flatten form.  I prefer the latter since the a completed form on may appear in white on mobile devices.

    Thanks in advance,

    Russell

The best option is to digitally sign the file and set up the signature to lock the fields inside.

  • What are the security settings to lock a form with fields to fill and still allow someone drive to fill in the fields as as to save the form and print it?

What are the security settings to lock a form with fields to fill and still allow someone drive to fill in the fields as as to save the form and print it?

You want to allow someone to open your document and fill in the form (the fields that you have created), but not change or edit the form, right? Here is the answer - assuming you use Acrobat Pro and someone will open the PDF with the Acrobat Reader 9 minimum and more:

    Tools > Protection > encrypt< encrypt="" with="">

    Select YES to change security.

    Opens in a new window:

Do not select NOT open the Document (or will require a password to open the document.)

SELECT: Permissions (check the box next to ' Restrict editing and printing of the document. ")

Change the following 2 settings in the drop-down list box:

    Printing allowed: select high resolution

Changes allowed: select commenting on, fill in the fields on the form and signature of signature fields
Selected leave: "enable access text for playback devices to screen for people with visual impairments.

Change password Permissions (insert a password)

Leave all the other settings alone in 'Options '.

    OK - OK

Again enter the Permissions password (the one you entered above)

    OK - OK

Save the PDF file to apply security [notice that (SECURED0 will appear after the title of the document]

  • 'The applet bad class name' exception when you try to save functional forms/EBS test with Oracle Open Script 12.2.0.1 in JRE 1.6.0_45

    Hello

I have a problem when you try to save functional forms/EBS test with OpenScript in 12.2.0.1 and also 12.1.0.2 version.

The problem has been verified in two environments:

    1. Windows XP 32-bit, Internet Explorer 7, 1.6.0_45 JRE.

    2. Windows 7 32 bit, Internet Explorer 8, 1.6.0_45 JRE.

The exception that I can see in the Java Console is:

I think that I already tried all possible combinations with options and preferences of OpenScript.

I also reinstalled several times to JRE.

What is interesting is that everything works fine when I use the 1.6.0_38 JRE. However, all versions up to it give me the above exception.

Could you please give me some advice what I can do or check? Maybe you can provide me with some information about the things that have changed in JRE 1.6 update 38 which can affect the load java applets by OpenScript?

Everything I could find in the release notes was that some security problems have been repaired.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Because of security changes introduced in JRE, use NO build longer than 38 for JRE 6 (1.6.0_38) and does not exceed the 11 for JRE (1.7.0_11) 7.
