  I had this problem, since the suite has been installed, but recently got a lot slower. Whenever I have click on open or save, it takes 8-10 seconds just for the upcoming dialog.  CS1 has quick relief - I know it was hundreds of years ago, but I can't help but compare the two.  I have the same problem with InDesign and Illustrator. The suite is running on a Windows 7 computer with a home network, access files of a machine XP as a Buffalo Linkstation.  Once the dialog box appears, and I double click, the file is pretty quick to appear.  I did research online and I think that the problem was in the network or settings.  The network is fast, Windows Explorer has no delay in opening the search for files or other programs outside of the Creative Suite. I did an experiment to refine the problem - I closed Photoshop, disconnected the network cable and reopened the program.  WONDER - it was so FAST to open the dialog box for opening and saving files!  I closed and then Photoshop again, plugged the cable network Photoshop to and open back.  He was back at the slow opening of the dialog box.  Everything else in the programs works fine - no delay during the execution of the operations in one of the Creative Suite - it has to do with the network and how CS is looking for the files.  Can someone help me, I'm so frustrated - it adds unnecessary time to everything I do and I'm afraid to open and save files!

  Have you tried to work with the display of the dialog box at all under Windows 7 under the drop to organize (left side)? Also, is - one of your Favorites in this dialog box are pointing to something that might be offline?

• Open/Save marred by obsolete plugins dialog boxes

  My open dialog box is messed up, as the option activate: is always set to nothing!  I have a dir plugin althernate, defined in the preferences (I don't want to reinstall all my 3rd party plugs CS 5.1)! So what to do? If I delete the old dir record of preferences, I have my cards in bulk but allow themselves to work directly, but which is a solution? huh? THX!

  Turn off the preference of the plugins folder alternative: using it wrong to load the outdated plugins.

  You need to reference, copy or reinstall JUST your third-party plugins.

  Trying to load obsolete plugins of Adobe in a new version of Photoshop is going to cause problems (like you did).

  The default "Save as" dialog Acrobat DC is different from the dialogue box you had in earlier versions of Acrobat, it also allows you to record in the clouds and previous locations that you saved the files. It is possible that when Acrobat tries to connect to the 'cloud', it runs into problems. You can try to disable this feature to see if this brings your backup in the back of the box: open Acrobat Preferences, then go to the "General" category and uncheck "show the online storage when you save files:

I have a function to display all items in the library, it's works fine if I only works in a single document, but if I worked on another document (while the other is open), the Panel displays items from the last I worked, if I close the cover and reload it again, it shows the elements in the current document. How can I call a function that can show the correct items while I move from a document, one of your suggestion will really help, thank you, and sorry for my bad English.

  Hi Smittychat: I decided to uninstall Adobe Reader 11 and reload again. When I uninstalled it, I went to a website to download a. Doc PDF and the 'save as type' finally changed to 'save as type' - PDF (.pdf) file. After I reinstalled Adobe Reader 11.01.06 it now reads 'save as type' - Document in Adobe Reader. Finally, I got what I want, and I hope it stays like that. "Rocket PDF" does not appear!

• Pileup on programs using a save dialog box under, presumed cause is an interaction of machine with Robohelp

  My apologies if this is in the wrong place, it could also be related to RoboSource Control.

  I have a problem with my entire system. I am regularly getting kicked off programs when trying to add an attachment or save something. It occurs when a Windows standard "save under ' or 'Open file' dialog box opens to browse a file path and it regularly leads to be expelled from the program. This happens in Chrome, all programs, Microsoft office, outlook, software adobe acrobat reader - everything in fact when I use one of these standard windows file navigation dialog boxes. Deport them is quite blind - that doesn't happen every time. Sometimes, it will take me 5 or 6 attempts to save something or add an attachment, having to reload the program each time. Sometimes, although rarely, it will work the first time.

  The only program that this does not happen is Roboscreen Capture and Robohelp, which is strange in itself. The two two other technical writers in my Department have both exactly the same problem with their machines and this never happens to anyone else in the Office about 40 people. The only thing me and the two other technical writers have in common of our machines is that we have all Robohelp and RoboSource Control and Roboscreen Capture.

  We use versioning through RoboSource Control with Robohelp, this could be the problem. We also raise this issue with our IT Department.

  Can we give it a helping hand to point me in the right direction here?

• Action needed to open save dialog box and STOP it. Help!

  So, here is the background information, in which case it is useful to know why I'm looking for this option - I'm in pulling photos off the coast of an internal database of the company. I can't access these pictures as normal files - I have to go to our Web site, enter an employee number and do a right-click, copy. Therefore, all options related to the editing commands, if they even help otherwise, come out for that first step

  In the meantime, I created an action that opens a new doc and resizes the photo in the pasta. Assigned as the shortcut F5. Then, to save my dexterity (: P) I also reassigned the shortcut 'open save for web and devices' to f6.

  However, it is such a massive project, and coming from a lack of time, what I really want to take the measures which I have created even more cutting of this second stage (open save w / f6).

  I googled and I'm apparently not phrasing the question right, no matter how hard I try.

  HOW in the world, if possible, add a step to my action which simply OPENS the save for web and devices dialog box? I know how to open and save, but not anymore. I need to open and everything STOPS here, so that I can simply hit enter and enter the desired file name.

  Is this possible? I will love you forever if you can tell me what and how to do it! BTW, I'm on Photoshop CS4.

  For your F6 save action files, save it to a file saving (it's okay what or where at the moment)

  Now in the actions palette, click on the box to the right where your backup is action. A dialog box appears saying "this will toggle the State of all the dialogues in this action...". "Click ok beacause we want to cede control of the backup user. Now, when you run your backup action dialogue will appear and you can save the file where and as you want.

  When I make a selection of files using FileSelectPopup of dialogue and request files with a specific extension, the dialog box displays the extension correctly in the "files of type:" control ring.  When I use FileSelectPopupEx, the control of the ring is here, but it is empty.

• Free trial on Mac produces the empty dialog box

  I downloaded a free trial of Acrobat DC specifically to export text in Word.  CD player have been run successfully after that it has been installed.  But when I go to the Acrobat tools section and open the export function it will allow me to select the export document but the dialog box that appears once I selected 'Export' is totally empty.  The same thing happens if I am in a document and select "Save as", a totally empty dialog box appears and you are unable to select a location and proceed.  Anyone have any ideas?

  One must convert the text in a pdf document to Word for important revisions on a regular basis and have desperately needed an easy to use tool that eliminates a lot of time to shaped text after have exported them.
