Save the address book

using tb 31.2, ow to save the address book or is it saved profile? also, how to make contact groups?

Open "address book".
Select the address book that you want to export.
Tools > export

See the first picture below

This should open a window "Export Address Book".
Usually, he chooses a generic file location that can be accessed before saving files. See third picture below. In your case, it seems that you see this window with the profile indicated instead. No worries, simply select the right directory.

If you see the profile folder - you do not want to export an address book in your profile - it's already there as a mbox file. Do not select this place - you have to choose a location outside Thunderbird.

First, you will need to choose where to save the file. Select the correct directory and folder where you want to export the file to. Identical to save any document you have to choose where to save it.
See the second image as an example on the choice of a different location or use the left file pane to select.

In my example - see third picture below.
I chose a folder that I had previously created called my backup files, a folder that is located in the same place in the form of Documents, downloads etc.
Give a name appropriate to address book file.
Save as Type: choose LDIF or comma separated .csv
Click on the button Save.

I want to save the AddressBook on PC. I can't do it with the Desktop Manager. I don't know why, but it does not work? Is there another possibility?

    Of course you can.

Well, you should be able to do it, but until you're able to explain more clearly what you are doing, so that we can solve the hang up, it is impossible to determine how to help you.

So, you can make a backup with Desktop Manager if you prefer. Then use ABC Amber IPD Converter software (google to find it) to extract the file backup IPD to your address book.

But my first advice is easier.

  • Why won't save the addresses I enter the address book?

Since we had Thunderbird, we were not able to add all of the addresses in the address book. Strange thing is, we added an address when we started, and the address is saved! But after that and since then, no other addresses are saved when add us them. Here's what happens: we add a new contact, enter the information and click OK. Thunderbird is always open, contact seems to be stored in the address book and can be accessed. But as soon as Thunderbird is closed and reopened, the address disappears and we are left with only only one address, that we've added when we started and nothing more. I hope someone can help with this!

Menu (Alt + H) help > troubleshooting information
    Click the display folder.
    Close Thunderbird
    In windows Explorer open
    Abook.MAB and rename it abook.mab.old.
    Restart Thunderbird and try again.

  • How to save your address book

How do I back up my address book.

    Hello

If you open your address book, select all address books on the left side, then select Tools, then export, you have the opportunity to back up the address book in a format, you can restore at a later date.

If you want to make a copy of your address book, select the address book in question (or all address books), and then select file where you will be able to see the address book of Print and Print Preview address book options.

If you want to save your emails and calendar entries, you can take a backup of your Thunderbird profile. You can read how to do that here.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look at another solution for you.

  • copy the address book Outlook Express for Hotmail - can't get in Outlook Express

copy the address book Outlook Express for Hotmail - can't get in Outlook Express.

Lately I often can't get into my Outlook email.  I know that I can use Hotmail, but I need my address book. I know that it has to see with the Qwest no longer carring MSN.   Can you tell me how to recover or to carry it?

Thank you, Cookie 303-371-6295 or 303-931-4632

The address book is a file with an extension of wab file.  Search for *.wab and then you can click on it to open it.  You can then go to file | Export | Address book, then save it as a csv file.  To import into Hotmail, as in this case: www.windowslivehelp.com because it is where are the experts of Hotmail.

  • Show to move the address book of XP to Vista

I have an address book that I used for several years.  It is on a XP computer.  I'm trying to move the address information to a vista computer.  I copied the file .dat to addresses from the XP computer on Vista computer, but the data was not updated.   Is the store program data in a different location on a vista computer?

You can not just move the data files.  XP uses the address book but Vista with Contacts.  However, it can be imported/exported.  Here is the procedure: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Import-export-or-change-the-format-for-contacts.

Indeed, open address book under XP and use the export function, save as comma seperated text CSV file extension, and then import into Vista contacts (or open Contacts in Vista and allows importing function, save as comma-delimited extension CSV text file, then import them into address book of XP).  It is easy just follow the instructions in the link above.

    I hope this helps.

  • Request for information/blackBerry Smartphones: where is the address book/contacts stored in the BB Torch 9800

Hello everyone, could someone tell me where exactly is the address book / contacts stored by default in the BB Torch 9800, IE; in memory of mobile phone, the SIM card (I don't think) or in the micro SD card card (multimedia card)? Thanks a lot for your answers. Best regards, Eric

More precisely in the device memory. Not in the media card or the SIM card.

It is where they are stored by default and cannot be changed.

You can save contacts to your SIM card, but only one number per name, no address, no email address, etc.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can not add more contacts to the address book

for the momment I 288 contacts but I can not add more. I go to the menu, address book, new contact, the window give me options, I add the information (name, phone, e-mail, etc.) and when I want to save the contact he does not save

I tried to restart the removing the battery for a minute and reboot, but always with the same problem.

Also, I figured out that when synchronize my bb with Desktop Manager, the address book is not sync that it says (address book not installed) and this is why I can't drag contacts to reinstall the info because I don't have to return to the top of the address book

Please I need help with this question

    Thank you

While there is no limit on how many contacts you can have on your device, there is a soft limit that you can have as many times as the memory of your device can handle. Check the available memory to see if you have any remaining space. If this isn't the case, then consider cleaning out / uninstallation of some things that you don't need to increase the memory available to more contacts.
