  Under Options in Firefox, I clicked on save the files under downloads, but the file name twice and an additional file with the same name is created in the folder, i.e.:

  Hi Akush, when you install 7 - zip, make itself the default application to open .zip and .rar files. So if you double click on the .rar file, it should open in 7 - zip. If you prefer to decompress immediately, right click the file and look for new 7 - zip items in the menu. I can't think of a way to do this automatically, however.

  I think this is a related issue of Windows, because it is the Manager to save the windows file that we are talking about here (right?). You should contact Microsoft for help with this one, I think. You expect to be able to delete entries simply by touching delete on your keyboard when they are concentrated (that is how it goes for the removal of the form entries specific autocomplete in Firefox), but I have not tried.

  Firefox has been my default browser for many years, so I was shocked when a base like this feature has stopped working. The problem is simple to describe: for an image on any webpage, when I right click and choose "Save Image under...". ', no dialog appears asking where to save the file and what to name; an hourglass appears briefly; and when I move the mouse, it is as if I never right click at all. Nothing appears in the download history.

  This feature is dead in the water, period. I can't make it work at all. I restarted Firefox, restarted, and nothing helps.

  I don't want to overreact, but this is a function I use very frequently, and I'm just speechless, that such a basic function has stopped working as soon as I upgraded FF 3.6.x. Help, please!

  I have a scenario where I want to save document .ai under .svg silently (without save as dialogue) in the background. I use following code to do this. But he gives save as dialog box.

  After the update of FF 24.0, two things I noticed.

  Try this:

  1. open Internet Explorer
  2. click on tools > Internet Options (upper-right)
  3. click on the security"" tab.
  4. click on the 'custom level... '. »
  5. click on the "open files based on content, not file extension".
  6. click 'OK', then click 'Apply', and then restart Internet explore and see if you can download content

  If this does not work, try:

  1. open Internet Explorer
  2. click on tools > Internet Options (upper-right)
  3. click on the "Advanced" tab and click on "reset...". »
  4. once the "Reset button"... ', close Internet Explorer and then restart your computer
  5. then try to upload a photo
