Saving a file after editing of RAW in Elements 9

I use a MACbook Pro and spin 9 elements.

I shoot in RAW and use ADOBE RAW editor before using the item editor.

When I save after the change, and then return to the Organizer, I can post the copy published in the Organizer.

Any suggestions as to what the problem migh be here

Thank you

My only thought is to try to recreate the thumbnails. According to the number of photos you have, it may take a few hours, so it start before going to bed. Select all photos via Ctrl + A, then edit-> update thumbnail

  • Lightroom saved unwanted XMLs after editing

Sometimes, after editing, Lightroom would either just directly save any changes I made to the XML sidecar files in the photo directory or it will display a small two-way arrow on the picture invites me to save changes to the file. I don't want to.

As much as I know, save editing changes to XML sidecar files is a feature that I need to activate. I don't think I did. Is that what Im missing?

  • Use of the file format for saving file after eating a raw extension file

Can someone explain the below please.

    (1) gross via Apple Photos and go edit the open module where it opens as a raw (nef pending).

    (2) open extension to step it up. Modify and save files.

    (3) file recorded while still in editing Photos watch module is like a jpg in the title. Right-click on the image and select Info and watch as raw

    (4) close edit module and look at the files in the photo browser and again and with all recent changes in place, it becomes a raw file (in the title and information).

    (5) raw open again file to modify the module and it says jpg (but Info says gross)

What is going on? Any ideas? It's the jpg or raw or he's just read jpg info in the raw file? Or is it a big one. My ideal would be for the first to be kept in a form original and edited our at least edited to be tif.

Don't worry about this. Photos must save the JPEG preview to view your changes in the RAW.

  • How can you save the original with the catalog file file after edit

    OK I'll try boarding.

First of all, I shoot a game... According to 600 photos. Import the game in lightroom, I mark the photos I want and delete the catalog. I edit and rename and export the files I want the game. say 300 photos.

My question is; After saving the 300 photos in the catalogue how match the original photos with those exported if they match.

I think that the best answer is to change your workflow.

I never export photos except for a specific purpose (e-mail, web, print), and then after that I used the photos exported, I remove the exports. I do not export them just to have sitting around on my hard drive for some whose use is more later. In this way, the photo is still available in Lightroom, and if you want this photo retouched, you go into Lightroom and find and export as required. It is not question to match to originals with exported given that you do not keep the exported photos once they have served their purpose (e-mail, web, print).

  • Cannot save the Lightroom files after editing in Photoshop CC (or they are invisible).

When I export a file from Photoshop CC 2015.1.1 in Lightroom, the "Edit a copy" screen does not appear.  The image opens in Photoshop, I make the changes, press on save, close Photoshop and I went back to Lightroom with no new image modified either because it has never made a copy in the first place the new file edition is invisible (see below).  Spent hours on the phone with Adobe and we theorized it was multiple copies of Photoshop on different drives.  I physically removed all disks except one, and the problem remains.  Have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I have the latest version at all (it started with c. 2015.1.1).  Photoshop 6 works very well and doesn't have this problem, although I have copies of 6 PS on several other non Adobe software players works fine too.

If there is more than one custom "slot" for external editors in Lightroom, I wouldn't even post this question because I could bypass Photoshop CC entirely.  But as it is, one of my two choices of editor external links Photoshop CC.

Tip: If I put the file in the quick Collection, things are like the old days.  I get the screen to export, a copy is created, modified in Photoshop CC and when Photoshop CC is closed, the modified version is visible in Lightroom.  However, when I try to move the file edited in quick Collection in the folder where it belongs, Lightroom says that it's already there - which it may be, but it is invisible.

P.S. I just discovered that it IS possible to specify more than one external editor, this is a temporary solution, given that I can use Photoshop 6 and like many other apps I want instead of PS CC.

If Photoshop is the main editor in Lightroom, it will not ask to create a copy for raw images.

  • What do you do with the source file after editing and export

    Hello

I wounder what people do with the file source after publishing, they take a lot of space on my computer. I can hardly bring myself to delete, but can't I save because of the space on the hard disk. thought, only export those clip that you used in your timeline, uncompressed?

Take a look at the project manager on the file menu. This gives you many options to compress your files used.

  • is there an easy way to comply (AVCHD) .mts files after editing?

I made a mount and I would like to send an xml at will, but I just noticed that solve nog play .mts files...

It would be useful to get somehow only edited shots to the right timecode even in my calendar, but with a different format such as prores.

    1. use the prelude to transcode the original media in a friendly format Resolve.  Keep the same clip names.

    2. with Premiere Pro closed, rename or move the folder with the original media.

    3. When you reopen the project, PP will ask where are the media.  Point to the new files.

    4. export your XML file from there.

  • Should I keep my xmp files after converting my raw files to DNG?

I created the original Lr to automatically build the xmp files.  Recently, I decided to go with the dng files and converted all my raw files to DNG.  I can now delete all my files xmp and change my setting of Lr, so the xmp files are produced is no longer automatically?

YES, you can do it. Lightroom never made use of the XMP files anyway.

I can now delete all my files xmp and change my setting of Lr, so the xmp files are produced is no longer automatically?

If you change this option in Lightroom, your changes and metadata are NOT written in the DNG file. I just want that you very clear on this point.

  • Restore file NAVE of origin after the camera Raw edits

I'm new. I made changes to the NEf files in ACR in the ' basic' Panel I see the little icon in the bridge, which indicates that changes have been made to the NEF file. How to return to the original NEF file after I left programs, Bridge, Photoshop, etc.? I use PS CS 5.

Bridge: Change, development settings and clear the settings.  If you save the changes in the .xmp sidecar files, you can also just delete the file.  ACR does not actually change the raw file, saves the changes in either a centralized sidecar or database files.

After editing my images in LR, then exporting to ch for further editing, then by saving the TIFF format to JPEG file in Dropbox, images of the thumbnail to look good. However, when I open them in a photo viewer, or email them, they become desaturated. With the help of Windows 10. Anyone know why that would happen? It does not occur when I change a JPEG image. This happens only when I edit a raw in LR, then export to ch and, further editing and change the TIFF to JPEG file type.

They will have to be registered to the sRGB colourspace, check the setting when you export for email...

  • Photoshop crashes after opening the Raw files

    I have i76800K Broadwell-E 64 GB RAM and 512 GB Samsung 950 m2 SSD Intel processor.

In Windows 10 when I edit the raw files of 50 or 60 and open them in Photoshop, my PC freeze for about 20 seconds after opening all the files then its fine again. I tried on different PC and it's the same question. I tried to optimize my system and nothing works. Never had this problem in Windows 7. But same question in Windows 8.1 and 10 everyone has experienced the same problem here? Can you try to open about 50 raw files in Photoshop and see if your PC crashes for 15-20 seconds after their opening.

    Thanks for your help.

OK, installed the latest version of Photoshop CC 2015.5 and looks like the problem is solved. Looks like it comes with Photoshop CC 2015.0.

  • Impossible to save raw files I edit in Photoshop and save as a JPEG, appear in Lightroom

If you still wish to JPGs of Photoshop-

Open preferences / surface-mounted and set the "File Format" in JPG format.

    The procedure is then:

    Select the image in LR

Right click and choose "Edit in"-Photoshop.

When you are done in Photoshop, use 'save' (or simply close the photo, and PS will ask you to "Save")

    * Do NOT use 'Save AS'.

Whenever you use 'Save AS' and change the file format (for eg. open as TIFF, save as jpg or open as RAW and save - AS a different format preferably LR) Lightroom does not know this 'new' file that you create.

As you note - any file will save in the folder, and to see these 'new' files LR you need simply Right click the FOLDER and "synchronize a folder...". "This 'important' the 'new' image in the library.

Mohit suggestion is another way to get the image in LR, keeping it in a file auto-importations, but you will need to set up this folder first as in his music video screen, is not available by default.
