Saving Adobe Acrobat 7

Hello, I installed my old version of Adobe Acrobat7 on my new computer (Windows7) and tried to register, but telephone recording is not supported and more for this product and online registration is not provided, either. What should I do? I would really like to continue to use my old version of Acrobat, since I use only a few features of it, mainly for the review, is not to create good impression in PDF format, so I don't see the reason why I should buy a new expensive product.

This is a version of Acrobat 7 given by Adobe that does not need to be saved. Activation server stops for Creative Suite 2, Acrobat 7 and Macromedia products  I would like to know if that's what you want.

    DC Acrobat Standard membership

I get an "incorrect file handle" in format Adobe Acrobat, DC when I try and save a PDF I made comments on. So I don't then save it and have to close it and all my comments are lost. I need to know why he continues to be and how stop it happening, but - now - I want to know if I can recover the PDF with comments that I created in the last 2 hours. I can't go through our technical service that I can't restore a previous version, because it has not been saved within the time limit.

Unfortunately, you will have to start from scratch this time. But there is a way to save den comments when you can not save the file. Export all comments in a data file. Then close the pdf file. Reopen the PDF file, then import your comments. I wrote an article a while back on there here: http://creativepro.com/working-with-fdfs-forms-data-files/

  • Adobe Acrobat DC has zapped my security settings and watermark saved, help...

    Hello

I just installed the following Tech Comm 2015 (on subscription). He installed an update to Acrobat for DC and it's horrible, I hate it. He blew my saved security settings and the older version of Acrobat has disappeared. Where they hid the option to watermark? The clues as if all of my saved stuff like saved watermarks and security settings are hidden somewhere I can shoot in the new version?

So, I hate the way that Adobe makes difficult upgrades. My subscription to Office 365 is a dream full of improvements seamless automated, compared to this expensive mega package which took all afternoon to deal with, and I had my hard drive to the bits and pieces of a "suite" of search and reset everything up.

OK, so I just answered my own questions so'm in answers here in case someone searches for similar things...

So... it seems that all the user settings are not carried forward with the upgrade and I know it was not even an option to check something for this.

So, to find the things you need... look

    Drive:\Users\YOU\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\11.0...

11 was the last version on my PC and where were the critical bits.

In preferences, there is a subdirectory called watermark. So I just copied it in the directory of 2015.

Ditto for the Security directory. Do security policy appear, in Acrobat to manage security policies and to make them favorites.

What a flippin saga! I'm on a flippin subscription in interest. It shouldn't be that amount of the intervention of the user. You probably expect to keep your own settings by DEFAULT with maybe a clean install option. So I have the experience, it's a frustration "I hate the upgrade" thing... probably is not what they wanted. It is not rocket science customer just to the point. Oh I forgot, we're talking about Adobe here.

A "quick" fix that worked for me was to uninstall Adobe... and download Adobe Reader 11.0 installation base.

Then download each individual updates and run them sequentially.

I installed back to the last update of security which is version 08 and were able to register under normal operations.

You will need to disable the automatic updates to keep up with the 08 version, until Adobe fixes this problem in a future release.

    "AcroCEF.exe - Application error.

If I click on it several times, it disappears. If I try to save a file that I open, I get the error message and there is no evidence in the record window.

It's a Windows 7 32-bit machine and the Acrobat DC 2015.009.20071 version, which is apparently the latest version.

I tried a few solutions limited help, that I found online, but nothing seems to work.

  • Do not have permission to download a file during the download of Adobe Acrobat 9 trial operation

I tried to download a trial version of Adobe Acrobat 9.  He told me that he will use Akamai Download Manager.  When to arrive at the point of click 'Download now' a dialog box appears saying that he wants to save a file (acropro90_efg) on a drive.  When I hit save, the system tells me that I "don't have permission to download a file in the directory."

I'm the administrator of this system of pc.

It gives you the opportunity to select a desired directory? Have you tried clearing your temporary files directory? Click Start, type % temp % remove the contents of this directory and try to save again.

In addition, you can try setting correct permissions on the default directory where files are saved. Right click on the downloads for example folder and click Properties > sharing > make sure that everyone is checked

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro DC - 100% crash when you try to 'save' or ' Save as '. No work of online solutions.

I followed each guide out there on the web to solve the problem of Adobe Acrobat DC break during an attempt to 'save' or ' save under ' and nothing has worked. I tried to use the clean uninstall tool and have completely re-installed fees, I've unmarked, the checkboxes for "online storage see saving files", tinkered with potential conflicts antivirus, off 'enable enhanced security '. Right now, it's literally impossible to work on a PDF file and make no progress on this issue. Any help would be extremely beneficial.

To validate the solution that I found:

First of all, I would like to express that I have do not tolerate illegal use / misuse of proprietary information, but I indeed did in the past, and while this will discuss specific ways in which this is done for Acrobat, it is strictly intended as a solution for those of you who want to legally use / buy Acrobat who have been down this road as all of the solutions presented revolve around the basic presumption that you have legally purchased Acrobat or downloaded the trial version.

Second, if you try to contact Adobe regarding this problem, there is no working solution. My case was high until the next layer of support, but the technical support specialist walked through all the "known" methods and he has already proposed, that you can find in the forums / online. I assume that the support specialist understands how the hosts file works and has probably knowledge in order for the program to function properly, the hosts file should not be tampered with - however, I do not support "script" walks in the scenario in which a customer has already changed this file. So respect my specialist who spent time with me.

Most installation through non-traditional means methods require a basic knowledge to edit the 'hosts' file in your systems32 folder. Most of the earlier versions of Acrobat would require a form any of editing this file patch, either through increased privileges Books edition of the hosts file.

Indeed, you would block Adobe to be able to contact some outgoing IPS, essentially fooling the program during its use. Come Adobe DC and creative cloud - where Adobe legitimately does not use the programs without creating and connecting to the user ID while using their programs.

NET effect, not quite sure, but apparently a certain connection to Adobe is necessary in order to use certain features of their applications - especially in Adobe Acrobat DC, be able to 'save' or ' Save as ' a PDF.

In order to solve the problem:

    1. manually change your hosts file and remove all entries associated with Adobe or download the AdobeLimitedAccessRepairTool (access error limited creative for desktop application cloud ) that will automatically fix your hosts file.

    2. use the Adobe Acro cleaning tool (Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs ) to perform a clean uninstall of Adobe Acrobat.

    3. restart your PC.

    4. either download the trial or paid Version of Adobe Acrobat directly from Adobe's Web site, which will also download Creative Cloud Adobe software.

5 from them, install Acrobat / creative cloud and try save a pdf file. The problem should be solved.

I can reproduce the problem by downloading (non-traditional ways) the latest version of Acrobat: 2015.017.20050 and by doing one of the multiple methods of blocking Adobe. Thus, it seems logical to assume that there is a function related to the saving function which requires interaction with Adobe servers, otherwise the program inevitably crashes over the economy.

I checked only this method works if you have (1) changed your hosts with respect to any IP Adobe file, or (2) If you have installed Acrobat (non-traditional ways) and "patched" to aid AMT emulator of the painter and specifically only to 'save' or ' save under ' problem. This method does NOT / has not been tested for any other mode to "patch" Acrobat including, but not limited to: (1) using the the 'Universal patching Adobe"or (2) with any"Keygen"nor has she been tested for any other function that inherently requires some kind of access to Adobe.

Again, I want to express the fact that I'm not condoning the illegal use / misuse of confidential information. I want to make this post to help a large population of users who probably have faced or will face this problem and who are legitimately tent / paying to use Adobe products and Adobe to understand when addressing solutions to the problems, other factors of root to play that affect your programs such as an uninstall / reinstall will not correct.

Good luck. I hope it's useful.

  • Adobe Acrobat XI keeps asking for serial number

    Dell Inspiron 7348

    Windows 10

I bought less than a year and a month, I got a notice from Adobe that I need to reinstall my software Adobe Adobe Acrobat XI there.  I ignored for a while and finally with success removed (using the control panel configuration-programs and features) and the Adobe's Plans and products reinstalled my software.  My copy is saved in the Plans and products. I immediately got pop-ups periodically whenever I use the software to register my product.  I chose to ignore and do not show this message to dozens of times without relief.  I finally agreed to register (re-record) software and the pop - up then asked my serial number, I entered and was accepted.  That didn't satisfy the demons pop up as the same request for my serial number opens everytime I open and periodically when I'm in the middle of the use of the software. It is most annoying. As I do not pay enough to be granted a privilege phone or chat, I appeal to the forum to provide Adobe support should be provided to customers who pay for the right to use their software. Any help would be appreciated. !

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro DC - grey text properties bar

I saw this question several times when you are looking for a response, but none of the solutions have worked for me. I have been using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (15.4) for months to edit and comment on PDF documents that I printed and then saved as a PDF file to an online mapping system. Until today, I was able to use the shortcut CTRL + E to bring up the properties toolbar and change the properties for the text boxes, call outs etc., including the font properties. It is in mode 'Commentary'.

I am now only able to change the properties of a text box - if I select the text itself all the properties in the toolbar are greyed out.

    I tried:

    • Closing and reopening the program
    • With only a single document at a time
    • Ensure the document is not read only or PDF/A
    • Ending the process of "acrotray" (I think that's what it was called)
    • Opening of a previous document when I was able to change the font properties - can do it on any document, old or new, now
    • Checking the properties are not "locked."
    • Verification I have user rights on MS Edge (the mapping system used only works on here, not IE)
    • Updates of the program

A point that is no accident, that's when I started this work several months ago I set all of the default values that I need them and them have not changed at all, until last week. Doubtful that it is causing the problem but worth a mention anyway.

Help, please! I need to solve this problem as soon as POSSIBLE in order to do my job!

    Thank you!

  • Error message with record invite - Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard

I talked to the Adobe Support cat team (1 hour of my life through two different departments, that I'll never come back) and at the end they advised me there is no 'chat' support for Adobe 8 and seek the answer through the forums.  Grrrrr.  Well, I hope that a genius can solve what appears to be a simple problem.

I have Adobe Acrobat 8 installed on my pc using the CD-ROM and a serial number.  The problem I am facing is when I open or rename a pdf file, an Adobe invites to "register my product" window pop up and when I select 'register now' I get an error message (as directed by the screenshot). When ever I select 'save' the prompt disappears temporarily but appears again a few minutes later. By selecting "Register later" just gives you more time but same problem.

    Adobe Registration Error Message.jpg

I checked that Javascript is enabled. I use Windows 10 (and before that, Windows 7).

I thought that maybe because I use Google Chrome as browser therefore also tried Internet Explorer with 'Active Scripting' and levels of security changed to 'low '. (these were suggestions on google but have not worked).

I've uninstalled and reinstalled just now to see if the problem resolves itself but it did not.

It drives me crazy that I'm constantly working with PDF documents, rename, and edit them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much, John. Here's the blurb from Adobe Troubleshooting for someone else with the same question.
