ScaleTo by using a negative value

I get very strange results when trying to scale an image to make it smaller.

I enter a negative number (is this correct?), but the image becomes huge and then begins to shrink in size, rather than getting little of its current size.

Any ideas?

Hello

Please, what version are you using? Are you talking about on the application of the ScaleTo effect in Captivate 5 or what really scaling an image on stage? It might be easier to add screenshot (s) using the small camera icon in the toolbar (use JPEG, PNG format is not accepted).

I think that you are robbed on the effects: why not enter a decimal number? If you want the object be reduced to 50% of its width and height, enter 0.5 for X and Y.

Sorry, I forgot to say what the effect of negative values: they will reflect your object. You can find an example in this blog post:

    Hello

I a VI that takes place (not shown) DAQ hardware and want to do the following with it:

By feeding the starting value (the maximum negative value of voltage), increase (positive) and the end value (maximum positive) voltage for the DAQ hardware TRADERS (should be

shown in the digital display) should go to gradually change from negative to positive maxima and do the reverse process of return to the starting value

which is the maximum negative value.

    for example

If I put - 3V to the starting value, 0.5 as increment, + 3 V to the end value, I should get the following:

    -3, -2,5, 2,...,.0,..., 2.5, 3 and then 2.5, 2..., 0,...,-2, 2.5-3, then stops.

I managed to get the first which is negative to positive Maxima but he never do otherwise. Can anyone help with this.

Study the attached example.  Instead of having just a graph showing each DC voltage at each iteration, I made a graph that will update to show all the steps as they occur.  The waveform that is the scale of things is to properly size the chart so you can see each stage without having the graph resize with each iteration of the loop.  You can pass values to your DAQ hardware to get the real exit.

  • Replace negative values in multiple channels with "0'.

    Hello

I'm calculating and then by creating a cumulative channel, multiple channels. Negative values in these channels aren't necessary, and I need a nice way to replace each negative value in these channels with a value of '0'.

    My current code is:

    Do
    Do
    If Data.Root.ChannelGroups (2). Channels (i). Values (II)< 0="" then="" data.root.channelgroups(2).channels(i).values(ii)="0    ">
    II = ii + 1
Loop until the second > Data.Root.ChannelGroups (2). Channels (i). Properties ("length"). Value
    II = 1
    i = i + 1
    Loop until I > Data.Root.ChannelGroups (2). Channels.Count

It works, but I don't like. He adds a few seconds when running my script, which was almost instantly. Is there a better way to do it?

    Thank you.

    Hello Kevin,

The fastest way to go through a channel and check the values less than or equal to 0 is through the canal's calculator. The code below takes all the channel first channel group (with the exception of the first string that is be the weather channel in my example data set) and replaces the values<0 with="" 0="" through="" the="" iif="">

    Set Group = Data.Root.ChannelGroups (1)
    iMax = Group.Channels.Count
    FOR i = 2 to iMax
    Adjust the strings = Group.Channels (i)
    Formula = "= IIF (y '.<0, 0,="">
Call to calculate (formula, Array("y"), Array (Channel))
    NEXT ' I

In this example we overwrite the existing values of data channel with 0, but you can also copy the channels to make sure that your raw data is available.

The calculator of channel is extremely fast for this type of operation because it does not create a loop to go if each line separately and check the values he...

  • Replace negative values of table 2d

    Hi all

I have a large dataset I want for post processing... My data are in the form of a 2D array of typically 1e5 + lines by 100 + models! I want to replace all the negative values in the table with zeros.

My initial was however to use two indexed for loops with a structure of matter inside looking for > 0 condition. However, this way I'm practically rebuild the table from scratch and it takes forever (had to give up after about 5 minutes of Calc, while I was still less than 10% of fact). I've attached a snapshot of my sample vi for your review.

Is there a more efficient and faster way to do this?

Thanks a lot for your time,.

    Harry

There are many ways to do this, but in your case I would just wire table 2D to a primitive range and Coerce (from the palette of comparison) with the range of 0 to + infinity.

  • remove the negative values in table

I have a table 1 d of data depending on the positive and negative values. I'm trying to search for negative values and remove them from the table.  This corresponds to the data in the column in the second table 2D that should also be deleted. A minor problem is that there are an additional column in the 2D array that must be skipped.  I have the code that should do it.  The problem is that if I have two negative numbers in a row the code doesn't thow on the other.

This first picture is the answer I get when alternate positive and negative values.  It shows the correct answer.

When I change the first1 of the positive a-1 value as shown below...

... I get the following response.

FYI, some other things such as conversion are here because I'm trying to manipulate the actual data set is enormous.  I test everything I do with the numbers that I can actually follow before I apply in my real program.  That's why I do extra things.

    Thanks for the help!

Here is the solution, that increase the index when you do not remove an element. In addition, whether you use the "less then or equal" when you use the "lower to."

  • 10g BEEP format-number for negative values does not

    Hi all

I tried the following methods to get the negative number locked up with symbols ().

1 update the mask of BI Publisher properties of field format to

    "#, # 0.00;(#,##0.00).

2 tried the Oracle formatting options

    <? format - number:A.INVOICE_AMOUNT; "PT999G999G999G999G999G999G999D00? >

What gives me the result as below,

    Output value

    23.45 23.45 - print correctly

    -12.90 (12.90 - closing paren "")' does not print

Please help me get the parenthesis when generating the PDF file.

    Thank you

    I had the question.

This is the format that was used in your model

    ###,###,###,###,###,###,###,##0.00;(#)

The first half before; does the mask so no problem.

But after; which is for negative values and that is not the correct format.

Please use this format on the properties of form field that gives you good number format

    #, ##0.00;(#,##0.00)

They do not enter negative values.  Dashes are just separates the text from the number they want you to enter.  They should probably used colon.

Using AnyChart 5 and Apex 4.0

When using a Dial gauge (percent), I'm trying to measure quarter percentage growth during the quarter.

Tell me Yes we have sales of $100 in the 2nd quarter of 2009 and the sale of $80 in the 2nd quarter of 2010.

When I run my query in TOAD and APEX SQL WORKSHOP I get the OK - 20%.

So I pull the XMLfile URL on the < embed > tag and drop it in my browser. The XML returned with a positive 1 as the value of the gauge pointer. Because the XML generated by the apex_util.flash procedure, I'm guessing that there is a bug?

Seems to be a problem when there is a negative value, AND you specify a up/down column in your query. IF I delete the columns high and low of the query, I get the right numbers when they are positive values. But the negatives do not return (for example, I had a 1% where I should have gotten a-84%). Strange behavior.

    Hi Walter,

You hit a limitation where gauge cards currently do support the display of positive values. However, this restriction has been removed for Flash 5 graphics and support for the display of negative values on the gauge cards will be included in our next release. This issue is followed by bug 10024437.

In the meantime, you will have to customize your chart XML in order display negative values. This would require that you replace the chains of substitution #SCALE_DATA # and #DATA # in the custom with your own and area of XML information.

  • Negative value to run to analyze the report in the statspack report

    Hello

    I use Oracle 10.2.0.3.

In the Execute to analyze the value of its pack stats report report, I get the negative value-35%. I read that this means that there are more number of parse as executions. But how and where it can be checked off, and what step I can take to resolve/correct this?

I have a procedure 'a' who calls the procedure b, c and d in it.

I have a table "t" that is referenced in the proceedings b, c and d (not in one)

I've run a DDL on the table "t" where, by b, c and d invalid and in which cases invalidate the procedure as well.

I call the procedure 'a' for execution, but in this procedure, I circumvent enforcement of procedures b, c and d (I can do this based on a condition and I don't call these procedures during execution of the procedure a).

Then, when I call the procedure, it will be recompiled, but before he could be recompiled, oracle has recompile b, c and d as well.

So in this case, I don't have that a single execution of procedure 'a' but compilation of a, b, c and d have run to analyze the ratio of 1:4.

I hope you understand now. Which is why I suspect me that your procedures are be invalidated yet and still have several compilations.

  • Caveat "the formula uses a Boolean value instead of a number" would dismiss

    Hello!

I do a "Calculator" to get estimates of price for the projects, according to which processes the customer wants.

Rates for each process are added in another table, and I use the list of control buttons to enable or disable the various processes.

Here is an example of a formula:

D3 determines if the part of the project modeling is performed, so the price will be or will not be calculated.

If D3 is true, the result is multiplied by 1, give me a positive amount. If false, the result will be multiplied by 0, 0, so nothing to add to the final cost he send me some.

Same for B4 in the same formula.

This formula is repeated all over the chart, with minor changes to add more complex options, but it's all the same.

Everything works fine, but I got those blue triangles warning me of "the formula uses a Boolean value instead of the number". That's fine with me, I like the use of the Boolean types, and they make my formulas work well in my calculator. How can I reject the blue triangles?

They are a little annoying. And they do not really correspond with the general style of my calculator.

I saw someone talking other types of formulas, with SEARCH and yews, but who is really complicated and I don't know how to do... Especially for a simple calculator

Is there a way to simply do not display warnings?

Using the version 3.6.2 on a MacBook Pro, OSX El Capitan 10.11.5

    Thank you!

    Hi Sinshassan,

I don't know a way to escape your blue flags except to make a formula which is consistent with the expected numbers. It is not difficult.

    My formula D2 = yew (AND(D1,B2), C2, 0)

The IF statement tests the two D1 AND B2. If they are true, then it indicates the value of C2 your carbon Modeling::High Poly #1, if one or both are false (unchecked) then 0 is displayed.

    Give it a try.

  • 'Variance PtByPt.vi' generates values of negative values for some input

With certain sequences of input values the Gap PtByPt.vi can generate negative values. It is because of the precision in calculations.

Because it is very common to calculate the gap by taking the square root of the variance, this behavior can take you by surprise because the result will be Nan and not almost 0 you expect. According to the data, this may be frequent or very frequent. In general, a nuisance to debug.

The remedy is simple: take the Abs() before the square root value. A vi that demonstrates the case is attached.

I would suggest to include this correction (or similar) in the "Variance PtByPt.vi' because it gives rise to unexpected and hard to find errors.

By definition - variance cannot be negative.

    Hello

I use a DirectShow supported CMOS-USB-Cam (ICube NS41133BU, Net-GmbH). This camera is displayed correctly in the Explorer of Measurement & Automation devices NOR-IMAQdx. I can also access and modify several parameters of the cam.

BUT: when I want to change the exposure time of the camera (which is a crucial parameter for my app) I can enter only a few numbers which are still twice the number preceding (e.g., 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, 0.8, 1.6)--> I can not chosen exposure values I want to because when I implement cela in my Vi and enter some value for duration of exposure , the camera will use a different value (the next smallest value that is available). However, this seems not to be a problem of the pilot of the camera or DirectShow support as it works perfectly with other software like 'AMCAP '.

Yes, there are available screws to expose the internal image data such as pointers to image data that 3rd - party code can use to integrate into their own software/driver development kit functions. Depending on how their functions are defined, you have perhaps trivial to wrap as - is in LabVIEW or you will have to compile your own packaging C.

  • Use the return value to do step digital multiple success or failure

    Hello

I use a multiple digital step to check several measurements by an external DMM through a function created in CVI.  I would like to use the return value of the function to replace the global status of the step. The reason is that the return value indicates a communication error, while steps are being taken, and which would lead to a "fake" fake or false 'Pass '.

What I would do is more or less this >

If the return value is 0, then check if the measuremets are between the limits

If return value! 0 = there was a communication error so step continues to operate independently of the measure.

I tried combining multiple digital step with a step of pass/fail, but it does not work.

I also trie to change the expression of the status of the multiple digital steps but basically ignores him.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Javier

Why don't you just make that return the value limits for multiple numerical limit stage.  Comparison of the EQ value and the low limit to 0.

That would make the most sense.
