Scanning multiple pages in the file of an image

Using a printer Office Jet Pro 8600 more, I installed the software and can I print and scan.  However, I am trying to scan a two-sided card family recipes, but the end result is two image files separate (e.g. Pie001 cream and cream Pie002).

I have downloaded and reviewed the online user's Guide, but he doesn't talk Imaging manually double-sided documents (not talking from the charger).

Question: What is the procedure which will allow me to scan a two-sided sheet and save it as an image file?

Thank you!

Gman-

What type of file you select when you start the scan, the jpg or pdf?  Jpg files do not support a single image.  If you want to have multi-page documents, select pdf.

  • scanning multiple pages to the single PDF using HP ENVY 4500

The guide says scan of the computer (as opposed to scanning from printer).  I do that and still can't scan multiple pages into a single PDF file.  Is it still possible?

    Hi griff0530,

I understand that you want to scan multipage documents into a single .pdf file using your HP Envy 4500, yes it is quite possible.  When you use the HP software on your computer, follow the steps below:

    1. loading the document.

    2. click on scan . An overview of the analysis is displayed (by default).

Important : the Preview Scan function must be enabled for scan multiple pages into one file documents. Additional pages from the original are added for the single file in the Scan preview window.

    3. in the scan preview is displayed, do one of the following actions:

Click the sign Plus () on the left side of the window to scan additional pages. If you do not use an ADF, you must load the next page of the document on the glass of the scanner to add to each additional page.

    4. click on Save to capture the scanned file, but leave open the HP Scan.

    5. click on done to capture the scanned file and close HP Scan.

    Thank you

Well, if you use the HP utility scan it will work for you.

You're right, this is where you can be sure to determine whether you want to scan to a single file or multiple locations. However, when you are on the scanning window, there should be the main picture, then on the left there is a smaller thumbnail in a column. At the bottom of this column, there is a button with a piece of paper with a (+) mark. This will allow you to scan multiple pages in a frame.

Let me know if it works for you!

  • Scan multiple pages into 1 file PDF with Snow Leopard & HP C3180

Using Leopard with my Photosmart C3180, scanning of multiple pages into a single PDF was intuitive, through a window of drop-down that appears after the first page was scanned, asking if there was another page. You could sweep dozens and dozens of pages that would go into a single PDF. As the overall scanning interface unusable a, the Device Manager HP and well Snow Leopard seems easier, it doesn't seem to be a way to analyze a 2nd or 3rd or 4th page into a single PDF.

The following sequence illustrates how now scan, using Snow Leopard and my C3180... Hope it helps anyone who might be looking for help. But can anyone help me with the problem of scanning multiple pages in a single PDF file? It is more a message or an option or a button, asking if there is any the following pages. Thank you.

Apple menu > system Pref > Print & Fax > Scan > Scanner open > (preview Scan appears in the display) > (on gray screento right overview Scan, name the file, select location & size, makeadjustments) > Scan

    redz1115,

Here's what I did to make it work...

Open Preview, select the file Menu--> import from a Scanner--> select your scanner.  The importation of the "Name of your Scanner" window will appear.

Click the show details--> adjust your size, and color settings uncheck 'Detect the separate elements', change PDF format--> click Scan

When its finished, preview scanning will open your new PDF page.  At this time, edit your document in the scanner and click the scan button again. Preview will add the new analysis of the open document.

    Hope that helps.

  • Cannot scan multiple pages in the scanner using HP Photosmart 7520 glass

    I recently bought a HP Photosmart 7520.

I'm pretty happy with it, but my wife has a problem with it that I wasn't able to solve even looking in the HP support sites.

When scanning using the glass of the scanner in a pdf document, it has no option to add another page. According to the documentation, there should be a + button, but it is not found. There is an option somewhere that I'm missing? Here is a screenshot of preview (in french, sorry):

    Hello

In the HP Scan dialog box, reduce the scanning in 300 DPI resolution or lower, then you should see the button "+" to add additional pages.

  • Scanning multiple pages on the Photosmart B010

I see not the option scan several pages in a single document in the drop on OSX 10.6.  How do I do that?

Seems OK, kind of communication problem...

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a free USB port on your Mac and not through any hub or the air base at the airport and then check for any change...

In addition, click on the Apple icon, and then click software update.

Click the show details and make sure to install any update from HP, if they are available.

Please let me know any progress.
