SCC - 68 active drive

Hi all

I use a card PCI-6229 interfacing with a SCC-68.  I saw the specifications of digital IOs of typical output current is 5mA.

I also saw that it is possible to use an external power supply for the Board of Directors.  I was wondering if the output current can be increased by using a 5V supply that can provide up to 2 a.

Thanks for the help.

-Colin

Hello

Please read page 19 of the SCC-68 sheet because it specifies that external power supplies are used to increase the current available for the modules so unit is not low-power as a whole, but does not say that it will increase the current of a DIO pin capability. So I would not try to draw more than 5ma pin DIO!

Hi, I would like to upgrade my W530 with SSD. What should I do to have work Pre-boot recovery with recovery partition the disk of HARD now at this time while the system would be the new SSD? Is this possible? BTW, I am considering between mSATA and SSD 2.5 "for windows. Which should I choose? I have to admit mSATA is more convenient for me.

You can skip it when you perform the cloning.

    > What about pre-seed recovery? It will work even if I copy the recovery on the SSD partition?

The presence of a recovery partition valid on the active drive (which is the new SSD, in your case) is required for recovery on-site work. So, if this feature is important to you, you should go back to the first question above.

If you have not made your purchase, you should take a close look at the M4 Crucial mSATA SSD 128 GB. Just a suggestion.

  • I want to replace my hard drive with an SSD. I is a SATA drive, but do not know the type.

I have a model m9373.me, an office, built in 2008. I want to change my SATA hard drive for an SSD, but I can't know what the active drive SATA type is. Should the new disk SSD be SATA I, II or III? How will I know?

Here are the specifications of your computer has HP Pavilion Elite m9373.me-. According to specifications, your computer is shipped with 2 x 750 GB drives (3.0 Gbps) SATAII 7200 RPM hard. Depending on the age of your computer, it supports the SATAII specification. Any SSD you buy will probably be a device SATAIII (6.0 GB/s) and will be retro-compatible with SATAII ports on your motherboard. Note that the SSD will only transfer data as fast as allow the port of the motherboard. You won't get the full implementation of the SSD in this system.

  • Pavilion p6310y: WD10EZEX hard drive is compatible for the Pavilion p6310y?

    Hello

I'm looking for a replacement of the hard disk of my Pavilion p6310y. I found a hard disk WD10EZEX on Amazon. It has the same features as the WD10EADS came with the pc when I bought it. But with some better features. The WD10EZEX is compatible?

Hi, the active drive WD10EADS is a HARD SATA 2.0, while you are looking in WD10EZEX is a SATA 3.0. However, this should not be a problem since the SATA standard is backward compatible and a SATA 3.0 drive should work on a SATA 2.0 port. The difference in the size of the buffer and the ROTATION speed should not be a problem too, so you should be able to use a WD10EZEX in your system. Be sure to do a good backup of all your data on an external HARD drive before you start to replace your HARD drive. Good luck.

  • CD / dvd drives will not read / write to any disk

Hi, can someone help (first timer) I have two cd/dvd drives will read / write to disk get them all is a window pops up asking me to insert the disc. all my drivers are up to date, my Device Manager shows two active drives and works correctly, I use service pack 2 and I have installed a new software/hardware. my computer is a dell XPS 420 that is now three years old and this is the first time that I had any problem that I have not been able to solve. Help!

    Hello

Its not unusual for the same problem have an impact on both drives, in fact its very common.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are

  • Failure of hard drive in Dimension 8250, the maximum size and the type of replacement tips please

Dimension 8250 (Feb 2003), Windows XP Home SP2, 60 GB HDD, 512 MB of RAM, BIOS A01 - entirely standard

My hardrive suffers from weird deaf noise for a few months, but last week, it was a lot worse. Sometimes it starts up and is ok, othertimes it takes 1 hour to start and everything produces the deaf noise and is so slow, that it's unusable and other times simply clunks and not even start.

    Error messages received:

    (a) "drive Dell, monitoring system has detected that drive 0 on the primary Eide controller is out of normal, backup specifications and replace the HARD drive.

    (b) "error was detetcted on the HARD disk during the paging operation" (in the event viewer)

    (c) "driver detetcted a controller the HARD disk error" (in the event viewer)

    (d) when I run the Dell IDE Drive Diagnostics (F12), it says FAILED return Code 6

    Issues related to the:

    (1) am I correct that the drive needs replacement?

    (2) I want to just keep it very simple and buy a drive and adapt it, do not worry about BIOS or other upgrades. What I do pay attention to the size car that I buy, is there a maximum size that I can have with BIOS A01? Maybe thought to 120 GB? I just want to be able to adapt, without having to play around with BIOS upgrades so simply the easiest option, which is to buy, set up and reinstall the software. So, is there any limitation integrated with BIOS A01? The recovery CD is XP SP 1

    (3) am I correct that the PC supports up to 100 ATA if you need to make sure that I buy ATA 100 no ATA 133?

    (4) original drive is Hitachi, Seagate Barracuda would be better?

    (5) think active drive a 2 MB cache, a cache 8 MB drive would work ok without me having to pay anything and if yes is it useful on the 2 MB cache?

    Thanks for your time.

  • Opening in the drive

How can I make sure that my doc pdf opens in Acrobat X so that I can play with it. At the moment when I opened one of my docs pdf (which I just created), it opens in the drive so I'm unable to access things such that attach a file, etc.

    Kind regards.

If you uninstall Reader, you may need to do a repair on Acrobat. You can also view Player options if you want to leave them on your system. You want to check is for the option to leave the part of the player in memory to speed up the startup with the new PDF files. It tends to be this little feature that keeps the active drive. File associations is also another option to check.

As mentioned, the cleanest fix is to uninstall the player.

  • NI USB-6501 digital output problem

    Hello

I use DASYLab v.11 and I'm working on an interface with the NI USB-6501 where I'm putting a digital high on four ports.

With the module "NOR-DAQmx - digital input", I managed to read the digital inputs of the ' NI USB-6501 ".»

    It's only the "NOR-DAQmx - digital output" I can't go to work.

Using 'NI MAX' of NOR I have easily can emmit my four LEDs in the way of my High/Low ports.

But not with DASYLab. When you use DASYLab tension on the ports remains unchanged.

Now, I have a switch module, generating 5/0, directly connected to the digital output module, which is assigned to my four output ports for my task.

I also tried with a module of relay between the two without success. I also tried to use 1.5 above instead of 5 without success.

I use the option 'Bus (0/5 supply) for the module "Digital output".

"NI Max", I configured the ports as "active drive.

Any suggestion of what I might be missing?

    Thank you

    Martin

Hmm, four ports, or four lines?

A port consists of eight lines. Each line can control an LED (ON / OFF ~ 0/5V).

If you have created a task to dig-out to control a port, 5V to this port sending sets all lines of this port to 'high '.

    You need to 255 for each line one too high port (at the bit level: 128 + 64 + 32 + 16 + 8 + 4 + 2 + 1).<- eight="">

Or, you can create a dig out tasks to control four lines of a specific port.

Four lanes of the EEG DAQmx DigOut module.

Each of the channels of the modul will feed a single line of the task/device.

Four switches will then turn the lights, or turn off.

Make sure, that the 'bitposition' is the number of correct line (see picture).

  • How to set a channel of e/s in the SMU-6556 NI on the ground in PMU mode

Is there a way or API call in LabVIEW to set one of the channels to the Earth in the SMU-6556 PMU mode?

If you disconnect the PMU, you will have the option to go to tristate or your digital status before, but not on the ground. Force the 0V is probably the closest you can access a MASS like behavior. The default line is tristate for this camera, that will leave the floating line if there is no active driver.

  • I don't get the desired pulse a counter in an SMU-6363 on every nth in pulse.

I am in a position certain characteristics of the impulses of the encoder. I need to generate a pulse ON this about-face with every pulse of the nth encoder in.

This impulse generated will be used to trigger measures andcounter analog acquisition on other counters in the SMU-6363.

I have attached my code. I expect to have a pulse on the same length of high and low.

This is not the case. What I'm doing wrong here? I use SMU-6363.

    Magyar salvation,

It is not a voltage divider (the 6363 input impedance is > 10 GOhm), but rather what we call 'ghosts' where high source impedance increases the time of the multiplexer and causes channels to affect another.  The behavior you reported in your other post has the same cause.

I think that the same behavior is at the origin of many of the dupilcate to be registered where the output of the ctr is 0V and the output of the encoder is 5V (or perhaps transiiton of 0 to 5V).  When the MUX switches to 0V on the 5V channel, it takes time to charge the capacitor 100 pF on the ADC.  The amount of time it takes is relatively high due to the resistance of 10kOhm (on your encoder) that the capacitor will charge through.  Meanwhile, the line (as evidenced by the counter input source) is obviously drawn below the TTL and causing a double edge to be registered.

Digital filtering still may not be a bad idea, even with the encoder active drive as source counter line is always connected to the entrance of a multiplexer - when there is no doubt that I generally include it for good measure.

    Best regards
