Schedule use of Smartphones blackBerry while calling to the

I'm new to the Blackberry community.so I have a basic question.  How can I go and check my schedule while I'm on the phone with someone?

Thank you

Rick

Rick, welcome to the Forums.

It's easy! During a call, press the ESC key (to the left of the red end call key) and you will be presented with a screen of "continue call and exit at homescree?", press Ok, and then you can use any function on your BlackBerry while on the phone.

  • Icon COMPOSER of Smartphones blackBerry makes calls

Mine is Sprint 8330 (the only service of voice & SMS).

I wanted to send an SMS. Then I hit new MESSAGE icon. List of contacts appears. I select the person I send SMS to and press ENTER (pressing the trackball).

Instead of allowing me to compose my SMS, my Blackberry begins to make a call to the person, I just chose.

    Bizzare!

    Any ideas?

    OK I got it.
When you open a new MESSAGE from the home screen he composes an email message, not a message, SMS or MMS. For example, when you select your recipient, and the recipient does not have an e-mail address, the Blackberry think that the only way is to call this contact. Why is this? I do not know.

Anyway, please do as I told you earlier, and everything should be OK.

    1. Choose the recipient from the address book
    2. Choose how you want to communicate with him or her.
  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry curve 8520 shows the duration of the call during a call

I was wondering if someone could help me, since a few days my screen every time I do a call is all blue, he does not see the duration of the call or the name which I'll call or called me while I'm in the call! When someone calls me it shows the name, but I respond as soon as the screen goes blue again? Does anyone know why it is, and how can I fix this problem?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    Best!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry does not recognize the headset/Bluetooth headset

I am posting this as a new message. I had earlier posted it as one 'response' to another post with a similar problem. I hope that it is acceptable (new Member of the Forum).

My 8700 c won't recognize a headphone SoundPort Flex. The helmet worked perfectly until three days ago. My 8700 transfer calls to the headset correctly. The led at the upper right of the device will begin to blink blue. The screen of the device would show "call forwarding - busy," I would like to hear a "beep" in the headset, press the main button in the headset and I'd hear the person calling in the atrium. Same result if I put out the call. All of a sudden stopped the transfer process. I thought that I may have made a change by mistake in the Options but have not been able to figure out what I could have done wrong.

My first thought was that it might be the helmet. I tried a headphone SoundPort Flex new, different and still no connection between the BB and headset.

I followed the implementation of manual of BB. Here is what the screen shows when I implemented: "searching for devices. Search SoundPort Flex. Guest of the screen "enter the password for SoundPort Flex". I entered the password and click on the wheel. Hear "beep" in the headphones! Display shows "Devices paired like SoundPort Flex." Entry "Connect" screen displays "Waiting for SoundPort Flex." (The screen never changes and displays "Waiting... ("indefinitely.)

By the end the other user in a similar message, under Options, my 8700 watch 'Discoverable' as selected.

    Bluetooth is turned "on".

Under "Device properties", I selected "approved."

The 8700 c (online) user manual reads: "Set if the paired Bluetooth compatible device can connect with your BlackBerry® device without asking confirmation." I don't find that Option on my device. Is the problem that the BB is ready to connect somehow manually?

One last thing: within the "Bluetooh activated/paired devices/SoundPort Flex / properties of the device"-when I click on the knob to display "Device properties", I see that these items: name of the device (SoundPort Flex), trust (Yes), encryption (Enabled) control Echo (automatic). Below "automatic" on the screen is a horizontal line and below who are 'Services '. It is not accessible. But it lists 'Hands-free device' (twice) and then "helmet" (twice). None of these elements can scroll.

I guess ill-informed, I accidentally turned on or off another Option that overcomes the connection between the BB and the headphones. Or maybe a software problem?

Note: I just tried the whole process over again: removed the headphone SoundPort, disabled the Bluetooth then he allowed. I see the device right now, the corresponding LED flashes blue, the display shows "Waiting for Flex SoundPort, ' Flex SoundPort light flashes blue and, in the window"Bluetooth", active the" paired devices/SoundPort Flex shows BlackBerry as it is connected to the headset. " However, I've heard the "beep" as on the previous attempt to connect. And for control of voice mail, the phone works fine but still no transfer to the headset.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you. Bret

  • Smartphones blackBerry email alerts in the Inbox

So I start to love this forum! Always find the answers to my questions

Now, I'm trying to find out if there is a way to stop things going in my messages folder. I have BB Messenger, email yahoo, sms folder on my home screen and a few others. It seems that all my emails and BB Messenger messages are also stored in my regular ' messages' folder. I do not use this file and I was wondering if there was a way to stop this... it's quite annoying to have to go in this folder and the mark all read I read in another folder...

I think that logic... If it isn't and you guys need me to explain better let me know...

    Thank you very much

When you mark it read in your main folder (not in the Messages folder), it should also mark it as read more messages (Conversely true, btw). The unread counter is just a conglomerate of all unreads all records - probably taken from Messages in any case since it is the collection point. Once you enter in each folder and read those, the meter will decrement and eventually go to zero. Unless you have other things in the Messages that are not reflected in another icon - like, separate you TEXT Messages? And did you stop logging of the calls in the Messages?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry presenter works with the Playbook?

Only, we received our Playbook and think that it would be useful for presenting as well. Now, I know that this may be thethered with bluetooth directly to the projector and I know I can use a cable cheap but in the presenter? Can be used with the Playbook?

Sorry, once again, but that's not really answering the question of is the playbook with the presenter.

The last answer is NO, the playbook does not work with the Blackberry presenter. Seems the only way to connect to the presenter is to use the software which is currently only available for phones.

But of course there are still some cables that you can connect to it or of course Bluetooth. But to ensure a cable-free environment, the answer would be no.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Protect - language of the map

    Hey - it's just a Word

I'm in the United Kingdom - but when I search for my phone, the Bing map that is used is in a different language - Portuguese, I think!

It isn't a big thing - my location is OK; but just puzzled as to why this might be.

Also - Protect should be running, or the backup will happen anyway.  Might be a strange question, but obviously, if his current running in the background, which adds an additional strain on the battery.

Thanks in advance for any help / suggestions.

I can't answer the question about the Portuguese language, I wonder if Bing! (whose mapping is used for service) you're the Portugal?

Protect runs once you have installed and signed in, even after a reboot of the device, and no it don't use much battery at all except for the 60-90 seconds all the days in which the backup was made. Unless you constantly check the GPS location (what makes a command refresh GPS handheld). If you do so, it could cause to exhaust the battery.

  • Problems of Orientation of Smartphones blackBerry while using e-mail and message center

Today, for some reason any my storm stopped letting me see my messages folder, text message or email to landscape view.  I was able to view the landscape for the mails this morning, but not when I'm home from work today.  To make it even more weird, if I'm going to call and say I want to write a text message, this text is displayed in landscape mode.  If this person texts me back well and I hit answer, he returned to portrait view.  Because I can't get the full keyboard in landscape mode, it's really, really boring.

It will easily pass landscape view in the home screen and in a web browser and almost never program but email and the message center.

I can even start at the sight of the landscape in one program and switch Center by e-mail or messaging, and he'll be back pack in portrait mode without changing the device.

I have turned the unit on and off and that did not help.

Y at - it an option I chose accidentally as I can uncheck?

    Hello and welcome!

This looks like one of the many problems that are clarified by a hard reboot ("power off" selection is a soft reboot). With the machine running, remove the back cover and pull the battery. Wait a minute or two and reinsert the battery and replace the cover. Switch on the device and wait patiently through the long long reboot process long (perhaps as long as 10 minutes). See if the problem is cleared up. Like all computing devices, a normal reboot is a healthy thing (and there is a thread in this forum recommends doing this every four days).

    See you soon!

  • Use of Smartphones blackBerry to the Mexico

I will be going to Mexico in 2 weeks and would like to know if I'll be able to use the internet and check my email on my Blackberry Curve 8330, while I'm there? My service is the United States. Anyone know?

I contacted the supplier of world food DAY and here's what I learned: the Blackberry Curve 8330 data services will not work to Mexico, if your service is the United States. You must have the world edition phone for data services. The phone itself would work for $3.00 per day more than $1.99 per minute for incoming and outgoing calls. Text messaging also will not work.

    Thanksfor the tip.

  • Smartphones blackBerry how to display the duration of the call to a call to the OS 7.1, BOLD 9900?

    Hi guys,.

you know in OS6, in a list of calls histroy, you click on the appeal record, you can see the duration of the call to this call.

However, in OS 7.1 when you click on the appeal record, you will be asked if you want to make a call to this contact.

I want to know, how to see the duration of the call to a specific call to OS 7.1?

    Thank you guys.

    Hello 5chil

There are few resources, or you can try this out for details on the call for a specific call.

On your Homescreen open message box > press alt + P, it will show all the phone calls. To know the duration of a particular call > highlight this appeal > press the Menu key > click Details call.

  • Smartphones blackBerry INCOMING CALL

The curve of incoming call, cycle time too short can any body advice me on the adjustment so the phone rings more. Thank you

Be by default (more) all carriers limit their ring of voicemail time to 15 seconds. The best way to increase this is to call your operator and ask a plu ringtime to pick it up voice mail, up to 30 seconds.
