Smartphones blackBerry INCOMING CALL

The curve of incoming call, cycle time too short can any body advice me on the adjustment so the phone rings more. Thank you

Be by default (more) all carriers limit their ring of voicemail time to 15 seconds. The best way to increase this is to call your operator and ask a plu ringtime to pick it up voice mail, up to 30 seconds.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones for incoming calls caller ID displaying DO NOT name of contacts (phone number only views)

Whenever I receive an incoming call, the caller ID shows that the phone #, even when I have that number corresponded to a contact.  Since I have not much phone # stored s, I have no idea it's someone I know.  However, the contact name appears in the diary of appeal, but not on the initial display of incoming call.  How can I get caller ID to recognize and display the name of the contact with the phone #? Any help would be greatly appreciated!  (I have the blackberry 8520)

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

It could be one of the three solutions... Try these:

    1. make sure that you set your own country code to the Phone Dialer screen > Options > smart dialing.
Set your country code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your local area code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

    2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

    3. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.
Look at the Options > Security > General settings. Scroll down to the content Protection > include addresses = no

  • Ring No. blackBerry Smartphones on incoming calls with my Pearl 8130

I have a BB 8130 Pearl.  He has stopped ringing on incoming calls. After the four regular rings, not heard by the appellant, it is going to voicemail. All I get is the notification of voicemail.

I had changed the ring.  I went into the media-Ring Tones - selected; Ringer_Classic Phone.acc - set as ringtone-, and I no longer get a ringtone for incoming calls. I don't know if this is the cause.  But it's the only thing I've done since I have the BB last week.

I called my ISP (Bell Mobility) and they were very helpful and surprisingly, very well informed. After the menus and check to be sure that the phone is not on mute, etc.  It seems that the signal strength was the culprit. So, my problem would be solved.

  • Icon COMPOSER of Smartphones blackBerry makes calls

Mine is Sprint 8330 (the only service of voice & SMS).

I wanted to send an SMS. Then I hit new MESSAGE icon. List of contacts appears. I select the person I send SMS to and press ENTER (pressing the trackball).

Instead of allowing me to compose my SMS, my Blackberry begins to make a call to the person, I just chose.

    Bizzare!

    Any ideas?

    OK I got it.
When you open a new MESSAGE from the home screen he composes an email message, not a message, SMS or MMS. For example, when you select your recipient, and the recipient does not have an e-mail address, the Blackberry think that the only way is to call this contact. Why is this? I do not know.

Anyway, please do as I told you earlier, and everything should be OK.

    1. Choose the recipient from the address book
    2. Choose how you want to communicate with him or her.

It's easy! During a call, press the ESC key (to the left of the red end call key) and you will be presented with a screen of "continue call and exit at homescree?", press Ok, and then you can use any function on your BlackBerry while on the phone.

  • Smartphones blackBerry missed call messages

Is it possible to do not receive a message whenever you have a missed call?  They appear with my emails, and it drives me crazy.

    Welcome to the forums.

Click the phone/CallLog, then go into Options, Call Logging and set it to 'None '.  Call logs will still be there, but they will be in the background and you won't see the mixed messages.

If you have a full keyboard device, you can see all call logs by going into Messages and holding the key ALT + P.

Remove your battery while your phone is off will do nothing to help.  You must ensure that your phone is always on when you remove your battery.

(And while you're here, please remove your e-mail address of your post.  Personal information, such as e-mail addresses, are not allowed in messages.)

    I hope that helps you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones with a name on incoming calls in a car via bluetooth

    Hello

    Can someone help me.

I just got a new company car where I divert my Bold 9700 via bluetooth to the car phone.

I clicked on OK and everything works fine.  Is there any solution for this and should I be worried?  I am running v4.7.1.40 (Platform 4.1.0.40).

HI and welcome to the Forums!

Untrapped exception happen - they are basically an event for which there is no program on the device to manage code. It's like a mistake on a computer--sometimes they straight. Future updates will probably help with some. A few things to check and try:

    (1) make sure you are on the latest OS for your business... you can check your carriers latest version certified through this Portal:

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

    (2) a Hard Reboot:

Whenever random strange behaviors creep, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    (3) good memory management:

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD memory card

Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (more a few storage applications, overhead and other costs). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

Memory card SD/Media - is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:
    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB05461

On some devices/OS levels, enforcement and the memory of the device are combined into "free file"... This is, IMO, a little more difficult to administer that you can't see really how AppMemory you have. Nevertheless, here are some tips to use:
    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB15345
    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB14320
    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB14213

Finally, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. Rather, to close an application, press the BBKey and select 'Farm' or 'Quit'... that forces the application to be closed, freeing for your new use the resources it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

    Good luck!
