Scheme of work

The scheme of work should point the schema FDMEE installation/configuration or the schema of the source system, in this case the EBS GL.

Thank you

PR

If you have successfully configured FDMEE it would be pointless to create a schema of work. FDMEE create a schema by default.

If you have the plan for you scheme of work separate schema for the custom interface, you must create separate work repositories.

    Target: Oracle

    I load the data from the source table 'src_table' to 'trg_table' of the target table. I've created an interface for this. Currently the ODI create temporary tables as

  • How to choose the scheme of work of a different database instead of the database target

    Hi everyone, can you please answer to my problem.

    Q1.is it is mandatory that the two target schema schema and work must present in a database.if not then How to choose the scheme of work of another data base instead of target database schema. Please suggest.

    __Description__

    My work, my work patterns in odi's in a database schema and target in a different database,
    Now I'm dataserver with identification of the target or credentials of scheme work information.
    Here's the problem.

    I can't see scheme of work in the drop-down list when you create the physical schema with data server with the credentials of the target.

    It's obvious that he cannot show the workschema which presents in an another database.because - database server has the schema of the target database credentials.

    Hello

    Your KM will create the tables for working in the schema, you write to and that's why you have the problem:

    create table< %="odiRef.getTable" ("l",="" "int_name",="" "w")="" %="">

    I don't know of an option to replace this 'W' that will say 'go and get work in the staging area, I've specified.

    I guess that you can customize the KM and pass all the commands to Execute on the Source tab, or I guess you could specify the schema for each of the steps to be the logic diagram of the various staging areas.

    BUT I don't know if it would work throughout and I think it will create a massive Mount of work unnecessarily.

    Is there a decent reason why you can not have the staging area on the target?

  • Sound schemes system works is not on Windows 8 computer laptop after fully updated from Windows 7

    As the title says, I have improved my laptop Win 7 with Windows 8 Pro of Dreamspark (MSDNAA). I also did a clean install of Windows 8 Pro on my PC. Everything goes well on my PC. But on my laptop, the sound system system is cut off, even if the volume of the sound system to 100%. Metro applications notification sounds are silent, too. When I open the sound control panel, al sounds preview worked fine (also good default & custom programs to Windows 7). Also, I check the Windows startup sound 'play' & he play every time I start Windows. All the other audio music, videos, game apps, Internet, YouTube, Flash worked fine, the system of sound patterns are dumb. The audio files are all good, not corrupt, the volume of system sounds even on when I found these files on the array of sounds. But when I actually did things like navigate in File Explorer, connect devices USB, emptying recycled bin, there was simply no sound. I don't know if the problem is with my local Windows 7 account now be upgraded & linked with my Microsoft account, since I've heard of people having the same problem & had to create a new account for. Maybe there's something wrong with the admin permissions that prevent the audio to trigger when the events occur. There is nothing wrong with the audio driver since I've upgraded to the latest Realtek HD 2.70 (support Win 8) on both my laptop & PC, has worked on PC & except for this problem, worked fine with any other audio source on my laptop. Help, please. Thank you!

    PS: My laptop is a screen touch 2 - pt 2010, but still usable with the new startup screen. Just info, no doubt, that it has nothing to do with this problem. Although I found it less intuitive than Win 7 desktop. In Windows 7, you can actually swipe to go back & set out in Explorer, touch 2 fingers to right click (rather than just hold), the touchpad had same suggestion of words like WP7. None of them work in the Office of Windows 8. Improve the Office to be more touch optimized, since now the Metro user interface is fully developed. Just say "." Instead, I'm in love, especially on my PC because it run so fast without a hitch!

    I think I found the solution. There is a DWORD key "Mute" in my HKCU root key. Delete it & it's back to normal. I don't understand why there is this key exists.

  • Work Repo/Master Repo/schema owner passwd

    I ran Rcu, was asked first to choose the owner of the schema of work and Master repo password, then asked before repo password works, I have not this, then this password I gave it to fisrt (some same password for all the owner of the schema)... also not to mention that I have the user initially sysdba password...

    can someone explain why are there so many password...

    I know that we need the user sysda to create the schema "work and master," then gave the same password too... now finally working again repo password...

    Please explain

    Concerning

    Hi rickepm,

    • The SYSDBA password must be entered because the RCU it will use to connect to the database and create the schema that contains your master repositories and knit _ODI_REPO.
    • Then you must choose a password for this _ODI_REPO on the database schema.
    • You must select a password for the repository to work. Each repository work has a password is requested when linking it to a master repository. The UCR will do it for you automatically. You can see this SNP_LOC_REPW table definition in the repository. Basically, it's to avoid anyone setting a working on the repository repository main wrong in the topology.
    • You will also need to choose a password for the SUPERVISOR account which is the first admin account. You can create your own account later.

    It will be useful.

  • Using a separate physical work scheme

    Hello

    There is a new Oracle data server that we put in place and it will be used as the target.

    ODI documentation recommends setting up a user dedicated to ODI (usually called ODI_TEMP)

    We create a new user/schema called ODI_TEMP on the new Oracle database, and grant the necessary privileges.

    So, now we have a physical target schema and a schema of work separate co-location (ODI_TEMP) on this new database target.

    In ODI, we configure the new database server by going to the topology-> physical Architecture-> Oracle - and select the new option of dataserver. Enter us the details for the physical target schema, IE the user login information, etc and save the new root.

    Next, we add a new physical schema on the newly created database server.

    There are options to get into the details of the scheme and also you can set here the separate workschema.

    For the schema, we select the schema target in the drop down menu. In the drop down menu to the workschema, we can see well listed ODI_TEMP and select it.

    But how or where should we enter the connection details for the user/schema of ODI_TEMP? Details of the connection is different from the target schema.

    See you soon.

    Hello

    However, there is no option to specify the details of connection to this scheme of work user (ODI_TEMP) or are we > maybe missed something?

    Not... you are missing something here. ODI will be used the credential made (topology-online physical Architecture-Oracle online-online new data server) to connect to your database server. Then it uses the SCHEMA. to create/edit/choice of your DATA schema or the scheme of WORK.

    What you need to do, is that to ensure that you have provided sufficient privilege for the occasion which is used at the level of your database server.

    Thank you

  • name.table in ODI datastore schema name

    Hello

    We have a scheme-> others-> HFM_ESB-> TIME table.

    Now, I need to connect to HFMESB. TIME table. When I try to give this table in the ODI data store, I get the message as invalid table name.

    Any suggestions on how to call and reverse engineer these tables in ODI.

    We were previously using synonyms and therefore sees no problems. But now we cannot synonyms, where to get this working...

    Appreciate the quick response that few urgent.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

    Apparently HFM_ESB is your schema.

    First, you create the server data in ODI, if you have not done: go in the topology tab in ODI Studio, then under Physical Architecture done right click on Oracle and choose new server data. Enter a name for your database server for example TRG_MyName and specify the username/password, for example, USER: ODI_STAGING PASS: MyPass. On the JDBC specify the driver JDBC and URL, for example: oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver and jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:orcl respectfully. Save and close the window.

    Second, on the right, click on the (new) database server and click new schema of Phisical , specify a name and then set the schema: HFM_ESB and the scheme of work: ODI_STAGING

    Please note: If you do not have ODI_STAGING diagram you can specify your HFM_ESB as a USER and working scheme

    Thirdly, under the logical Architecture right-click on Oracle technology and create new logical schema specifies a name and you can leave the Global context and choose the given (new) physical schema in the physical patterns column.

    Fourth, go to the tab of the topology to the Designer tab. In the bar of models , click on the folder and new model of. Now, on the definition tab, enter a name for your model, choose Oracle as the technology, choose the logical schema that we just created. Go to the tab of bone , here you can leave everything in the Standard/table report which means do the standard reverse engineering for all tables in the given schema. If you want only to reconstruct the table PERIOD comes down to the click tab Sélective Reverse-Engineering on all the boxes at the top, then, under the control of column name of the Table field only PERIOD box and finally click on the button of boning (at the top left).

  • Instance settings - require new schema - does not

    I have a newly installed (4.2.1.00.08) Apex instnace.  I can't seem to get the setting for 'Require a new scheme' to work.  If I choose Yes or no, the workspace application process always invites to a new or existing schema.  Is this a bug, or maybe I'm missing some other parameter that would do this job correctly?

    Hi "user721299"

    First, is there a reason why you are creating a new APEX instance based on APEX 4.2.1?  APEX 4.2.5 is available and highly recommended.

    All that being said, I don't think it was a problem even in the APEX 4.2.1.  That's exactly what we use on apex.oracle.com (requires a new schema = Yes).

    1. Are you sure that you are establishing a new session of the APEX to try the new workspace application process, after setting this instance setting?
    2. You set this parameter with the APEX_INSTANCE_ADMIN API or the First-Instance administrative Web interface?
    3. What is the instance parameter 'Provisioning' status?

  • How to import in different Oracle schemas using the same model? Physical schema is different every time, so, how is this a handles that?

    Experts of the ODI,

    I use ODI 11.1.1.7.0 and transfer data to an Oracle database. So far, everything is OK, but...

    I want to reuse my current interfaces for import into different schemas in the same database.

    At the moment all the table data were imported into a single scheme under topology/Physical Architecture / Oracle / Data Server / physical schema I chose the pattern and check the "default."

    If I import now to other patterns (300 different ones), how should I configure the physical schema values for:

    Schema (schema)

    Scheme (scheme of work)

    Default checkbox? (I assume must be deselected)

    On a quick test, I left schema & schema of blank and disabled by default check box. Two interfaces work (one per table), but the third failed (my guess is the way in which the model was reverse engineering has to do with it, but don't know how to fight against it) I know how to debone a model, but if I use a pattern to do the other schemes do not work because ODI will give me a table not found. How do I work around this problem. Here is an example of the error I get after removing the default schema of the physical schema definition.

    ODI-1226: step CON_TY fails after 1 attempt.

    ODI-1240: Flow CON_TY fails during an operation of integration. This flow of charge table target CON_TY.

    ODI-1228: task failed CON_TY (integration) on the ORACLE connection signal target.

    Caused by: java.sql.BatchUpdateException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    Your help is appreciated. Thank you.

    Here's how, to work around the problem of schema change the mask object Local of the physical schema on the server target %SCHEMA.%O OBJECT to % OBJECT in this way the schema is not part of the SQL at all.

    And these are the values that I use in the physical schema definition

    Schema (schema) - undefined

    Scheme (scheme of work) - undefined

    Check box default - select

    Given each user has permissions for objects it is clean and it doesn't have the schema name to reference the object, it works very well.

    Hi Andy,.

    If the UA cannot see your master repository, you probably do not have an entry in the SYSTEM table. SCHEMA_VERSION_REGISTRY$ (accessible via the synonym SCHEMA_VERSION_REGISTRY).

    I copy your DB 11 g SCHEMA_VERSION_REGISTRY line in the 12 c one.

    It will be useful.

  • How to read the data with different XML schemas within the unique connection?

    • I have Oracle database 11g
    • I access it via JDBC: Slim, version 11.2.0.3, same as xdb.
    • I have several tables, each has an XMLType column, all based on patterns.
    • There are three XML schemas different registered in the DB
    • Maybe I need to read the XML data in multiple tables.
    • If all the XMLTypes have the same XML schema, there is no problem,
    • If patterns are different, the second reading will throw BindXMLException.
    • If I reset the connection between the readings of the XMLType column with different schemas, it works.

    The question is: How can I configure the driver, or the connection to be able to read the data with different XML schemas without resetting the connection (which is expensive).

    Code to get data from XMLType is the implementation of case study:

     1   ResultSet resultSet = statement.executeQuery( sql ) ;
    2   String result = null ;
    3    while(resultSet.next()) {
    4   SQLXML sqlxml = resultSet.getSQLXML(1) ;
    5   result = sqlxml.getString() ;
    6   sqlxml.free();
    7   }
    8   resultSet.close();
    9    return result ;

    It turns out, that I needed to serialize the XML on the server and read it as BLOB. Like this:

     1    final Statement statement = connection.createStatement() ;  2    final String sql = String.format("select xmlserialize(content xml_content_column as blob encoding 'UTF-8') from %s where key='%s'", table, key ) ;  3   ResultSet resultSet = statement.executeQuery( sql ) ;  4   String result = null ;  5    while(resultSet.next()) {  6   Blob blob = resultSet.getBlob( 1 );  7   InputStream inputStream = blob.getBinaryStream();  8   result = new Scanner( inputStream ).useDelimiter( "\\A" ).next();  9   inputStream.close(); 10   blob.free(); 11   } 12   resultSet.close(); 13   statement.close(); 14  15   System.out.println( result ); 16    return result ; 17

    Then it works. Still, can't get it work with XMLType in resultset. On the customer XML unwrapping explodes trying to pass to another XML schema. JDBC/XDB problem?

  • Confusion between the physical schema definition MSSQL Server

    Hello

    I'm learning ODI 11 g and I am currently working under the physical definition of the schema under topology Navigator. I want to import data from MS SQL Oracle Server; I have defined the source (MSSQL Server) and target servers (Oracle). Testicles of connections and that they are working correctly.

    When you set the physical schema for MS SQL server I am confused with the following fields. Can someone help me understand its use here? I'll be very grateful

    (1) database (catalogue)
    (2) owner (schema) here I read-only user which I already defined as part of the definition of the SQL Server. It does not appear in the list.
    (3) database (catalogue of the work)
    (4) owner (scheme of work)

    Best regards
    Muhammad

    >

    Work catalog database is the location of the temporary objects of ODI (for example, C$, $ I, I have$ tables etc.)
    == I use a single user reading to read the data. How ODI creates temporary objects in SQL server. My work and master repository is the Oracle database.

    Temporary tables are used for a number of things, remember that at this moment in the topology - ODI don't know if your connection to the SQL Server is a source or a target, so he wants all the details, just in case. Reasons for Temp of source tables might be:
    Source of the joins of tables in different data sets with a staging expliitly, set on the source.
    Format (change data capture) objects - Tables to langer, newspaper views (items of $ J) etc.
    If you use only MSSQL tables as sources, you proably find no temporary object created side soruce, arrays of C$ will go into the scheme of work target (in this case, Oracle) that the I'll tables$. So in your case, it's normal.

    Scheme of work is the owner of the database value (catalog of the work) - once again, usually of dbo.
    == use dbo as sys in oracle?

    Type-IIRC no matter what user to the sysadmin role that creates objects have these objects as dbo by default.
    Im not MSSQL DBA if.
    Think of it as a qualifier that ODI will use when generation code selection based on the mappings of interface (for example select database.catalog.table xyz) etc.

    Hope that helps

  • APEX Application schema vs schema

    What is practical common Production of creating schema?

    Do I need to have separate the schema for the objects in the APEX and workspace AND have connected it to my production application diagram where all applications related tables?

    Please advice.

    Thank you

    Hello

    I'm not sure you understand the architecture of the Apex, and maybe a brief explanation will answer your question.

    When you create a workspace Apex, you associate this workspace with an Oracle schema that is the scheme of analysis, which means that all the code you produce as part of your application is running as this drawing. This scheme would then usually become the owner of all your objects in Oracle database such as tables, views, indexes, packages, etc. (it may be more complicated with multiple schemas, but lets keep things simple for now)

    Then, you just create an Apex application against this schema. Objects Apex you create, applications, pages, regions, sections, etc., are not actually stored in this scheme. They are associated with this scheme of working space and are actually stored in a metadata structure of the schema of the Apex, which you never touch directly, but interact with through the actual application of the Apex. If you logged on to your schema analysis through SQLPlus and tried to find objects of the Apex by querying the metadata of normal database views that you won't find anything.

    Back to the thing of multiple schemas, for small and medium-sized applications that are purely for Apex, I would recommend that you keep everything in a single schema and use this schema in the schema of your analysis. For applications more complex, a purely database design point of view, it may be better to split your application into several scheme in multiple schemas. In this case, you will need create a scheme of analysis or use one of the existing schemas as a scheme of analysis and then to maintain a system of grants and synonyms between patterns to identify all patterns of Apex, although only can be the analysis schema.

    There is a theory going around that promotes separation between schemas that have database objects and schema that connects an application like. This is mainly for security and safety so that developers do not damage the application of database and end users access without authorization through techniques such as SQL injection. This can be a concern with the very big development projects with large and/or public user databases. I tend to think, however, that this is not the typical target for applications of Apex (Apex is appropriate in this case API is another debate) and using this architecture of sorting is excessive in most cases.

    I hope I understood your query and that helps.

    André
