Screen resolution is too low

Hi, I use VmWare on a mac Ox 2.0: 10.5.5 and whenever I connect to windows vista Ultimate edition, I have too low resolution, it is 1280 x 722 pixels, in color, it is the highest (32 bit) and I need to be at a minimum of 1024 x 768, the hard part is to change the resolution I need to change up to 7 times to be albe to set.

Also, if I stop the resolution is lost to 1280 by 722 and all start over again.

Help please

Thank you

Marco D.

Is this on a MacBook? A workaround may be to use the full screen.

I know this is an old thread, but I came across it looking for a solution to the same problem. It turns out that my problem has a cause simple and simple solution. I had accidentally pressed the "multiple displays" function key on my keyboard (F4 on my HP Envy) and therefore affect my screen out of two monitors without realizing it. I started getting the error "the screen resolution is too low for this application to run", came here, tried to change my resolution screen and then realized what I had done. Once I changed the key function to the PC only, the problem has been resolved.

Thanks for posting the query on Microsoft Community.

I am sorry to know that you are unable to access anything on your computer due to problem-solving. ALT + F4 closes just the window/program/app which is open. Don't worry, will help you with the question.

I have a windows 8 pro and I can't open an app on my mini laptop, it is said that the resolution is at the lowest

    Hello

To run applications on the Windows Store, you need a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768. If your resolution is less than this then I suggest you reinstall the latest graphic drivers, then try selecting a higher resolution. It is possible that your resolution may be limited by your hardware, in which case it is probably nothing you can do about it.

    Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

  • Screen resolution changes automatically

Hello, I just installed Windows 7 Home Premium in my Toshiba Satellite M200 Notebook 2 weeks. And it seems that I have a problem with my VGA (Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family).

Sometimes, when I am trying to boot up my laptop and Windows displays the login screen, my screen resolution change to lower resolution. After login, the problem remains the same more Windows to disable Aero. But if I restart my laptop, the problem disappeared. It seems impossible to load the VGA driver during Windows startup.

I already re - install the VGA driver (had 8.15.10.1912 version of Windows update), also install driver latest Intel yesterday (8.15.10.1930) but they have the same problem this morning. I never had this problem with Windows Vista.

In addition, in my startup program, I only charge 5 applications: Kaspersky AV HD Audio Control Panel and Intel 3 program (shortcut icon from the bar and screen resolution utility)

    Any help will be appreciated.

  • My resolution continues to go too low and it is very difficult to read the screen

I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MY RESOLUTION-IT IS TOO LOW AND WILL NOT CHANGE

I went to the Windows Update Catalog and typed in "video drivers" and he gave me 958 choices on 39 pages and I wonder where is should I choose - or should I just try them one at a time?

It's usually stupid to accept any peripheral material updated from Microsoft - driver unless you want problems.

You should always get your device updated the driver from your hardware manufacturer.

As the forums MS Answers does not prompt for any information system when a new question is asked, we don't know anything about your system.

Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

If you answer these questions, someone (perhaps a useful MSE or FM) can see what the details of your system and what your video drivers installed and may direct you to a place better if the drivers must be updated.

Try not to use your caps lock when responding.  Type uppercase is considered screaming and you don't need to be yelling again.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

Now talk us a little about your hardware:

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the information here.

For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste the information here.

There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.

This will minimize back Q & A and eliminate guesswork.
