scrollbars missing in document page mode

I have a pdf file where the scroll bars on the sides on the right and bottom of the document window is not visible. I can't understand what command or tool is used to remove these scroll bars - they are visible in all other pdf I have!  Have searched on "scroll bar" in the help files and in the forums, I have not found anything to help out me. I hope that you can. I suspect that the removal of the windows is specific document - the pdf itself is a book called the domain Public published by Yale University press and published in pdf format for free under Creative Commons license.  http://www.thepublicdomain.org/download/ . But I don't know how it was done, or particularly how to cancel it. (There is no security on this document restrictions)

I use Acrobat pro 9.4.4

Thanks for any help you can provide

see you soon

I can't open the document 'Pages' and get "the index.xml file required is missing."

You should post the related issues of Pages in the Pages for Mac community support.

You try to open a document v5 Pages in Pages ' 08 or 09 ' which does not support the format of document Pages v5. Exit your application Pages ' 08 or 09 ' and then double-click the document even have it open in Pages v5.

When you are in Pages ' 08, ' 09, or same v5, the red light on the title bar of the document just close the current document and fails to complete Pages.

  • I'm not able to open my documents pages. I get the message: the requested index.xml file is missing.  I wonder if it is because I have updates 10.11.5

I have an iMac (20-inch, mid 2007) processor 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 3 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory and recently updated to el capitan 10.11.5.  I have Pages ' 09, and I can't open my documents pages and get the message:

The index.xml file required is missing.

I now see that it says return to default pages 5.6.2.

I can open them as 5.6.2 then save tehm in pages ' 09?

Can someone help me with easy tips?

Only the Pages ' 09 or old documents contain internal index.xml file. When you try to open a document in Pages ' 09 Pages v5, you get this dialog on the missing index.xml. The key is to stop Pages ' 09 and then double click on the document to open it in v5.6.2 Pages.

Pages ' 09 will not leave by simply clicking on the red light on the title bar of the document. As long as the Pages ' 09 continues to run, it will intercept all attempts to open any document Pages, including incompatible versions of the v5 Pages.

This has nothing to do with OS X 10.11.5. He has been a user focused on the issue since October 2013.

  • After evolution Imac to El Capitan, cannot send documents Pages

Upgrade Imac to El Capitan.  Now problems with the e-mail documents Pages.  When I try to send a document Pages, I get this message: "failed to create an attachment to the message.  iWork has encountered an error during the attmepting to create the attachment data. "When I try to open a Pages document received as an attachment to email, I get this message:"'___.pages' could not be opened.  The index.xml file required is missing. »

    I'd appreciate any help.

Pages ' 09 has lost its ability to send by mail in the menu share after update to Yosemite (El Capitan). Victim of progress.

Pages ' 09 uses an internal index.xml file and any spread of Pages v5 does not, because it's a completely different and incompatible document format. If you receive a document v5 as an attachment Pages and try to open it with Pages ' 09, you get this dialog on a file index.xml file is missing.

If you have Pages v5, then use it to open this attachment, otherwise you will have to ask the sender export to the format of document Pages ' 09 and who sent you. Because of the disparity of the characteristics, the export process to the ' 09 Pages may omit some features of document Pages v5.

  • Cannot access a document pages to icloud after Windows update

After a recent upgrade to iCloud on my 10 Windows PC, I couldn't open one of my iCloud Pages documents.  I see the file on my computer (iCloud drive Windows), iCloud.com / #Pages and on my other Apple devices, but I can't open or download.  The app Pages on my apple devices indicate a file update, but after 2 days it has not completed update.  I do not see the file on the iCloud.com / #iClouddrive, and I do not see it on the list of files to restore.  If I try to access it from iCloud.com / #pages, the error message is generic, indicating that "something" went wrong and try again later.

Where to get this file?  Anyone know how I can access?

For Windows 10, you will need a minimum of iCloud 5.2 for Windows installed. Check your version, because maybe that's a problem.

My experience with Windows 10 so far is that the update of the anniversary has destroyed a Windows 10 (VirtualBox 5.1.4) system that worked before and will refresh not simply a true PC running Windows 10, due to an error in installation script.

A document Pages on Windows is like Robinson Crusoe on Mars.

    Hello RichK,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I understand your message that you are not able to save your document Pages. I know how it is important to be able to save your Pages documents for later use. In the following discussion, a user named Kreklo suggests activating/deactivating the feature Documents & data in the iCloud settings. To do this, go to system preferences > iCloud > Documents and data. Then remove the check mark, and then check it in again. Then go towards Pages close it and reopen it.

  • Toolbox for Pages only opens in PDF format and does not directly open from documents Pages.

How do 'Toolbox for Pages' to open directly from a Pages document (I use ' menu Insertion, but that does not help) and get the spare in PDF formats since I can not insert in my documents Pages?

You have answered your concerns with Jumsoft, the vendor providing the third party package? It is an Apple product, or probably something that much/all have installed us.

The Insert on Pages menu is set by Apple and not usable by third-party applications. You get PDF page content in the Pages just by drag and drop.

  • My documents pages look washed out and I can't open them.

My documents on pages are not open.  They all look faded.

A document icon faded in the Pages file picker is not a document Pages, but most likely a PDF document, which can not open Pages.

  • Document pages block for another user has the file open

    Hello

    I'm using Pages 5.6.2

In our society, we begin using pages for the edition of our records. We use a shared network of synology to quickly access our files. It's a DS-209 + II.

Now, we had several issues where a user still had a file open and open another file.

My question: is it possible to have pages or finder or what ever tells me that the file is open by another user?

I think something like Microsoft Word has set up: "the document is locked for editing by another user.

Please let me know if there is a way to have this feature in place or to have a sort of work around.

    Thank you very much!

N ° not a feature of the Pages, or configurable one or the other. The work is to use Word only (a safer bet), or an edit shared management of the users of the document will be closing their documents Pages and exit Pages to release the locks on files - when they are done with the document.

  • What I save a document pages in to a PC can read the document. Even better if the document is read-only.

That save a document pages in to a PC can read Heard it. PDF created in Pages cannot be read by Mac PC alone.

There is no PC version of Pages, so at least that you convert you will not be able to open it.

  • Cannot download document Pages on Facebook

I have a new MacBook Pro with Version 10.10.5, Yosemite and Pages ' 09 version 4.1. I created an ad with Pages, import a picture. Because I did not yet understand the new system of Photoshop and Lightroom very well, I made a copy of a photo and place in on the office. Although I have not done anything in Photoshop with layers - just lightened up a little bit, it was released as a psd. I returned and flattened and saved as a jpg file and replaced the photo psd on the page with the JPG document. Facebook always comes up with the same message. Someone said to open it in preview but I don't even really know what song is or understand. I never used it. On my old Mac, I was extremely proficient with Photoshop - used often and always without problem, but this new LR/PS system always escapes me.

Preview is an application included with OS X. You can find it in your Applications folder. Export your document Pages as a PDF file or one of these images you have handled in PDF format, then open the PDF with preview. The easiest way is likely to be fair, simply drag the icon of the PDF file on the Preview.app icon in Applications. Then, in the preview, click on file > export... and choose JPEG from the Format: drop-down menu. You should now be able to download the file that results on Facebook.

  • How to set the margins of the document Pages?

I just downloaded the most recent Pages application (2015, I think) and I tried to put the margins to less than an inch on my document pages using the rule, but the margins will not spend.  Is there another way to do this?

Menu display: See page layout. Click the Document button in the toolbar on the right. When the Document Panel opens, you will have the best control on your margin settings. With page layout, you can see the visual margins change as you change them in the Document Panel.

There is no Pages 2015. It's Pages v5.6.1.
