SD via a PC card applications to blackBerry Smartphones?

I have a Curve 9360 and it contains a lot of apps that I don't think that I will ever want or need. However, I hesitate to remove them because if I should have a change of attitude in the future there might be trouble to reinstall.  The ideal solution would be to park on the SD card.  I know apps cannot be saved on the SD card directly, but has anyone tried copy the application on his computer, the removal from the BB Phone and then copying the computer to the SD card.  I would be grateful to know if this strategy will work, and if there are problems if the application is copied to the phone.  Thank you

Ted

I don't know why you don't just uninstall and resintall AppWorld > MyWorld.

But the manual method works in any case, if that's what you want to do.

  • Storage of applications for blackBerry Smartphones

Hey everyone... I use my 9790 bold, he repeats to me my memory to applications is 512 MB internal memory of the phone's 8 GB! So is there anyway to increase this limited storage for applications? In addition, this space does not increase if I use an external MicroSD memory?

    Hello...

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD Card Memory.

Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and fixed (size: 512 MB in your case) space that is available to the House of the OS itself, as the destination for the installation of applications (more a few storage applications, overhead and other costs). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

Memory card SD/Media- is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:

    • KB05461 Sizes of card MicroSD taken in charge by the BlackBerry device software

On some devices/OS levels, you can see 'Free file' (Options > status), I think this is equivalent to AppMemory. You can see on other devices, all the memory usage levels three (Options > memory). Here are some tips to use:

    • KB02843 What is the function of low memory manager on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14320 How to maximize space and power battery life on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14213 Call logs, SMS text and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone

Finally, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

In addition, each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy. Some have taken to do this on a regular basis as a preventive measure... some as often as once a day. Others got the app QuickPull to automate a simulated Batt Pull.

    Good luck!

  • Cards lack of blackBerry Smartphones, can not download.

    Hello everyone,

I've been a happy user of 9700 for 1.5 months now. I didn't notice the icon BB maps in the menu. When I tried to install this BB site by sending me the download link, I get the message "your device does not respond to the requirements of the system...". ».

The situation is strange, as in 'options--> options--> cards' as default "BlackBerry Maps" service are selected.

Any suggestions how I can make the icon appears on the menu, if I can at least try to use the application?

My network is PL Orange, the phone was bought without brand.

    Best regards

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

A little sparse on the details... "they don't work" could mean that they launch, they communicate, or a myriad of other possible symptoms. Accurate description of what you're trying and that happens helps us not to guess.

But, since you have left to guess, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (3) restart to take batt

  • Applications for blackBerry Smartphones available for Curve 9360 - what URL can they be addressed via a PC?

I can't find a page where I can see comfortably, on my PC, the applications available for BB Curve 9360 on the BB site.

(From p. \Apps home I get to a list of devices, where I find the curve, but when I click it, I sent again to the homepage!)

Please, let me know the URL where I am sure they are, even if I can't find it by myself.

    Hello

If, by 'apps', you mean these natively included in OS package, while it's complicated... There are a variety of basic applications, but each company is free to "Pack" the package of core OS with their network-specific things or they chose to push their customers.

If, by 'apps', you hear the module and 3rd party applications that the user chooses to download, then there are a variety of resources:

Each of them works differently, so it is quite difficult to provide detailed instructions for each.

    Good luck!

  • Applications for blackBerry Smartphones loses the data connection

Found nothing on the net to solve my problem - hope that is not new on this forum!  I have always good connection wi - fi and 3g via the web browser.  However, at the same time, a number of apps for example App World, Sky News, Accuweather etc - that is, I guess that virtually any application requiring access network - don't report "data connection".  Hard reset usually restores this functionality (at home, at work, wherever) until I'm TSF phone in another mobile cell (i.e. the geographical area) - a summer only relatively short distance of my office in the city...  Then it's the same question 'no connection '.  So it seems to be a constant association at the end of the cell - as-TI-a - 'regisered.  I checked all the recommended checks and run several resolutions without result.  I have updated to the most recent Blackberry everything.  Before that I discharge my Blackberry in the last sale of thought start I'd have one last go.

    Thank you

  • Additional applications of blackBerry Smartphones No. designed for your device found

    Hello

I get the, msg "no additional applications designed for your device not found" when trying to install new software via my Desktop Manager. I read a thread that says I have to install BlackBerry software for the current device.   It seemed to work for the individual with the question.

    The post office is: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=BlackBerryDesktopSoftware&message.id=...

Well, I would like to download the software for mine, but my carrier/provider don't showup on the BlackBerry site.  My carrier is AlaskaDigitel.  Is there some generic download that I could use?  My Office Manager can show what software is installed on my device, like Google Maps, etc.. He simply refuses to install the software. The things I installed were facilities OTA.

Here is a little info that can help you to understand what I see:

    I have a BB 8130 Pearl
    v4.3.0.127 (Platform 3.1.0.73)

I think that there is something wrong & I just don't recognize the simple fix for it. Could someone help me?.
I opened the Desktop Manager, click on the Office Manager & watch the
    Tab 'general '.
    BB Desktop manager: 4.3.0.15

    "Components" tab
    BBDevice Manager: 4.3.0.7
    BBDevMgr: 4.0.0.1
    RIM USB driver: 4.0.0.2
    RIM USB Serial Driver: 2.1.0.4
    Application loader: 4.3.0.13
    RIMProgram: 1.0.1.35

There is nothing in the tab "Device Software"<=Is this="" the="">

Everything "Looks" right to me, but I am very, very new to this.
    Thank you
    ~ Roystreet

Yes, that's the problem.  You need the OS installed on the computer (so it will show in the tab of the device software) in order to get rid of this error.  You can use any OS for your device model, regardless of the carrier.

Use the link below to find a carrier CDMA which offers the 8130 and has a download for 4.3.0.127.  Download it, install it on your computer.  Then go into c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."  This file prevents the installation of your device carrier operating systems.  Deleting the file will allow DM recognize as valid for your device.  It does nothing else, so it is safe to delete.  Once you have deleted the vendor.xml file reconnect the device to the PC and launch the Desktop Manager/Application Loader.  You should be good to go.

  • Applications for blackBerry Smartphones missing 4.5.0.77

I'm with Telus and I downloaded the new 4.5 which was available on the Blackberry site by using the application loader. I first tried to install 5 x on my computer, where whenever she made a fatal mistake and the handset, it had no symbol ap with 507 under him.  TELUS called and they do not support.  My brother took the phone and installed it using his computer.

The question that I am focused on now is the missing apps on my screen as BBMaps, BBMessenger, Brick Breaker, and Password Vault.  That's all, I noticed at the moment, oh yes Docs to go I do not either.  On my computer, I use DM 4.2 depending on the system requirements on the BB site because I use Outlook 2000.I open and I do not see any application to load.  Any help on these getting up and running would be appreciated.

    Thank you

These applications could be removed from the list during the installation process.

    Try reinstalling the operating system.

  • Application of blackBerry Smartphones Groupon

When I try to use my Groupon app it tells me "no network connection is available.  Please activate the mobile connections or wi - fi. "When I go to manage connections, they are on.  I deleted the app and reinstalled.  It has never worked.

First, you go to manage connections and make sure that the name of your network service provider is enabled.  (Yes, I know that you already have, but we must make sure that you have not missed something... that's how we roll here.)  Then go into the Mobile Network Options and make sure that data Services is defined on it.  Some applications will accept connections via WiFi, most of the others won't accept a network connection or both.  I know for a fact that the groupon will allow both.

If you have done these steps and are still running into problems, an e-mail message to the address support for groupon would be in order.

Support for groupon app: [email protected]

  • Memory card change of blackBerry Smartphones

I want to change the memory card on my bold 9780 - for greater capacity, a.  What should I do? -make a full backup, put in the new card and do a restore complete, or what?  Thank you.

You can do this way, but rather simply drag and drop files from the press to the PC card via the BlackBerry in mass storage Mode.

    1. go to Options > Media Card
(some themes or BlackBerrys can call this ' settings > Media Card ")

    2. check the following parameters (if they are that way, then changes according to the following:)
    (a) media card Support: on
    (b) mass storage Mode Support: on
    (c) auto Enable mass storage: Yes

    3. save the settings and exit

Now, you will see the media card appear on the PC as a removable drive when you are connected to the USB cable.

  • Info card bank of blackBerry Smartphones

When I go on the mobile application of Royal Bank, my credit card number appears already.  Apparently for the first time I put it.   Is stored by the site of the Royal Bank or my blackberry bold 9700. Is there a way to delete this number. I think it would be better to enter whenever I have access to this site.

    Thank you

You should check with the developer of the application to your site from the Royal Bank.

RIM has not developed the application.

I suspect that the number is stored in the application itself.

  • Services/applications for blackBerry Smartphones that I deleted back on reboot

I rebooted just my camera, after that I had to reinstall BBM (that is another story), and I found that many services/applications that were on the device when I bought it I deleted are back. Desktop software takes no notice of them, so I think these services are on my SIM card and are loaded on every time I reload my camera.

However, if I reboot my device after a prompt of the App World app, they don't come back, so there's obviously a few conflicts between the reboots after guests in the App World app, where such services do not return, and that it recharges after the guests of the device, where they come back.

My question is: short to go to my nearest store of O2 and talk to them, is there a way I can permanently delete these services/applications, or prevent back?

    Services/apps that I mention are:
Gameloft, who sends me to a website via WAP (which turns out to be retained; Gameloft is where buy you games for your mobile O2, so why I think that these services/applications are created on the SIM card)
AIM, download Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, MySpace and WLM, which are links to their respective download pages, only those links have their own individual icons.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

These icons are shortcuts 'teasers' pushed to you by your carrier. You can't really get rid of those nor can prevent you re-fill (if you check your contract in detail, I'll be there is some small print allowing your carrier to push them to you). On the contrary, what I do is to create a homescreen folder called "Alternative icons" (some call it "Junk") and to settle all these icons. In this way, they are out of the way.

    Good luck!

  • Application of blackBerry Smartphones geocache browser is glitched out

BB Curve 8530, just updated on Sunday.  My trial is over for this application and I was just able to buy the license key.  I received confirmation of payment from the BB app world and I received my license key of Trimble. I NOW can't find the app in 'my applications', and I can not re - install to enter the new license key.  The app was there when I wrote all my info to create my profile for this forum. Now, it is not the case.

before what happens for me, @1030 PST, I was trying to buy the app with my account PayPal it was emerging a ' can't get a card... authorization error ID 11000'.    Then an hour later he crossed with my paypal card OR with my 2nd payment option as I entered as a another attempt failed.  The second payment that I tried to do was also dismissed.  So I don't know at this stage WHAT used BB appworld payment.  I contacted Trimble Geocache Navigator service center and they said that I have the license key is valid and that the payment was received correctly.  So the problem I guess is with BB or my phone. Since I updated the phone I had SOME problems with my new phone.

I turned off the phone and jumps to the battery. I don't want to try something else until I get more information. Photo I took of the screen is of my world and I see...

until I have this problem I can't go Geocaching and I'm really starting to make withdrawals...

First, do a simple reboot of the device: with the phone smart BlackBerry turned on, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.

See if your application to settle and work now?

If not, if you hold that same screen App World > My World, try this:
    1. open the App World
    2. go to my world
    3. to focus on the BB keyboard - hold down the ALT key and press "RST."
    4. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot
