Search Engine Optimization - How Google can find my site?

I recently published my site and I tried to search in Google for him. The only way it happens, but if I'm with my fairly well written text in my title of the site and the very specific field.

I used Muse to create my site and gave all my classifications the elements and identities while they are named. I thought that it might help to SEO.

So, I took the steps through Google's Webmaster Tools, and is now registered as a website in the Google Directory.

Is there something that I am missing?

Thank you

Jonathan

  • my homepage is set to google, but it shows up as a yahoo avg search engine. How can I fix it?

my homepage is stuck on a yahoo avg search engine.

    Hello

You can change your homepage settings:

    • Tools (or the menu button

      ) > Options > general

You can also change your search preferences by changing the provider search engine to your search bar - what will change the home page search bar and the search engine used in your address bar when you enter a query instead of a web address. On the default interface, the search bar is the bar to the right of the address bar, just click on the logo on the left side of this bar to open a drop-down list of search engines and change to whatever you want.

If those who do not change your home page, go to:

    • Tools (or the menu button

      ) > Addons > Extensions

And remove the AVG bar tools/all other extensions that you don't want. If you want to reset all default settings, your search preferences, you can install the extension search reset reset your preferences and then uninstall itself.

If you restart Firefox, and you find that your settings changed to AVG, you have a software that prevents your preferences to change. See the article How to fix preferences that will not save.

  • After Firefox 23.0.1 I got no default search engine. How can I change in regular behavior?

Before last 'upgrade' to Firefox, I used to type any result page or the words in the URL bar and Firefox opens a Google (or whatever I chose as the default search in the options) to the words I typed.
Now, I don't have a "default search", search on the URL bar follows what is selected in the search bar. How can I set a default search from the URL bar?

I don't understand the changes, if we already have a search bar with plenty of search engines, why the hell should I use the URL bar to do a search using the search engine the same selected in the search bar? I use the URL bar search to find a URL, it makes no sense to try to find a URL with amazon, ebay or wikipedia, i.e.

I read on "Keywords" to search directly from the URL bar, as copied Firefox to Google Chrome omnibar. But I want quick searches when the features of autocomlplete does not work, I don't want to have to remember a keyword for a specific engine, type this keyword and the search string, it is what made me leave Chrome when I tried first.

  • When I try to type on the bar or crashes my firefox search engine. How can I fix? I can surf between sites, but when I try to type something blocking firefox.

It was a typical day. I wake up and check my places as usual. But this weird problem started suddenly to crash my firefox. When I try to type google search box, firefox search box or bar firefox crashes to address. I use Kaspersky Pure and no sign of the virus. Can I visit the sites normally. Other computers in my house don't crash like this. I'll send this issue on my laptop.

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

See "basic troubleshooting: a new profile:

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If this new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.

  • Muse supports the Search Engine Optimization?

When I write a site code enable search engines to classify pages, how it works when I build sites in Dreamweaver or other traditional means?

    Example: imgenet.com

    Hello

Muse supports absolutely SEO as long that you added metasearch keywords and descriptions for each page, maximization of your page names (which appear on the tab of your browser) and have tagged your photos with keywords. Finally what you did if everything goes well or will do is your header text labelled as such and follow the general recommendations of SEO for the size of the text. You can do a search on Google for this.

That said, SEO a Web site is not as good as 3 for SEO top drivers:

    #1 content

    #2 Backlinks

#3 code optimization - cannot do much to this topic in Muse but make sure that your images are optimized. You can Google on this, including the results of the pilots of the SEO.

    Good luck!

  • Search engine continues to change the logo of firefox with 'Search The Web' and takes me to different search engines, Bing or Google so far. I don't want to. It used to be always on the Google, and I want to again permanently on Google. Help?

Just like the States mentioned above. This refers to the search bar on the right. I don't want to remove it, I like to use. I want to get back the Google value permanently. Even if I turn it on to Google in the drop-down menu, when I restart Firefox, it changes back. Once again, instead of any other logo of search engine, it has a small logo of Firefox, saying 'Web search' next to him in grey if no text is entered. He often gives Bing search results, even if I deleted Bing in search engines installed.

I also checked the default search engine in topic: config, and despite what I describe above, the default value is still on Google.

Why this is happening and how to fix it? It didn't happen until the other day here, so it would be after the update to Firefox 6.

Go to your add-ons Manager and disable extensions test pilot.

Fixed a problem. Someone should pay me now!

  • After that "Refresh Firefox" was finished, I lost all the tabs I would be implemented in my search engine Duckduckgo - how to restore all tabs?

I used "Refresh Firefox" because for the past 2 weeks, I suddenly had to download all PDFs, save them, and then go to saved to open the PDF file. After severa pages on Mozilla's Support site, l I thought "Refresh Firefox" would help. Now I can choose Duckduckgo as my search engine in Firefox, but have lost all tabs (history, bookmarks, etc.). FYI: I have Windows 7 on this laptop. I have no other computers.
Thank you - hope you can help.

Hi, I think you're talking to the menu bar. If so, right click on the bar of tabs (but not on a tab) and graduation/check bar menu.

Other buttons can be found in the 3 menu bar > customize, drag a toolbar to the location of your choice, > exit customize to save.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

  • How Google recognizes if a site is admissible or not? What is the code it look in the headers?

I have a few websites that have a sensitive menu, but the site itself is not a presentation rack fluid or completely adapted to the dimensions of the media.

    "<script src="respond.min.js">< /script >.

The googlebots read these and the class as a fully sensitive Web page? I want to avoid having to rush to recode all my sites and I was wondering if there was a miracle, or anything that I can add in the < head > tags cheat bots in 'think' the site contained the attributes that pass the test of "sensitive".

I don't see how it can ever be admissible if it is admissible. A container with width fixed 980px isn't going to fool Google into thinking that its reagent... put an end to the wide.

I also made a few experiences recently tried to see if I could trick Google in a less accept the site responded by adding a few appropriate containers and leaving the rest fixed-width, but it was not to be fooled.

  • Is there a limit on the Collections of content how you can have a site?

I'm working on a site with a bunch of blocks of text synched. There are 20 specimens in my content panel. Everything has been working great.

I added Collection 21 last night and all of a sudden the site does not appear... just a white screen. I looked at the source code in my browser, and there was just a line with a message about exceeding a maximum limit of 20 JSON.

I deleted the new content Collection (21), and the site appears.

Is there a limit on the number of synchronized text blocks can have a site?... someone running into that?
