"Search programs and files?

I know that I have a document "My life" and I know that I have several versions of it dated but when I enter the title in the search engine, nothing comes.

If you know that the file exists and that it is not found by the search engine, it suggests that the file is not indexed.  Take a look at the links below.

At the same time > click on the ORB > choose computer > double click on the C drive > entry the name of your file in the search box on the upper right side > if your file is on the C drive it there. You will have the choice of adding the file to the index > you can right-click on the result and choose "open the file to go to the file location.

My laptop with Windows 7 (64-bit) can not see the other desktop PC running Windows XP via a wireless connection, except if it is plugged into my laptop so only I can see them on the network.
I checked all the working groups to ensure that all are the same.

However, when my laptop into Wi - Fi, I could see the other wired desktop PC by specifying the network path in "search programs and files" to the start menu in the Windows 7 laptop, I was able to add network folder by specifying the drive letter for the connection and file I want to connect via a right click on the network to connect a network drive...

  • Windows cannot find filename.extention in "search programs and files".

Hello all, there is a program called "Recuva" by Piriform there (it is a data recovery program). When I try to find the program (Recuva64.exe) on "search programs and files", I see "recuva", (the r without ceiling). When I click on that, a message box appears, saying "Windows cannot find '' Recuva64.exe' '. Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again. »

Its running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
If someone could help me solve this problem, I would be very happy. Thank you.
PS: Same problems occur with Defraggler of Piriform CCleaner too.

I'm not sure that I follow the problem then, sorry?

It is just this program that fails, or all searches fail?

If you click on "Recuva64.exe" it runs?

Have you tried to remove and reinstall it?

NOTE: later found this on a google - http://www.pcerrorfixtip.com/Recuva64.exe-318841.html I don't know on this site or one of its suggestions, I just found on google. But it does not mention "Windows cannot find C:\Windows\Recuva64.exe make sure you typed the name correctly and try again ' in the ' Recuva64.exe error messages:" section. Not sure if this is useful. AV check anything you download (as appropriate) from the site that I don't know anything about them, just a response from google. It will be useful.

I hope that someone else may have an idea and help.

  • Need to backup all programs and files without the System Image

    Hi all

Recently, I myself in a dilemma. I installed 4 additional disks with the intention of creating a RAID volume supported by the BIOS. To do this, I need to change the BIOS setting of the controller which includes all the volumes, including my boot drive (that I don't intend to RAID). The problem I have is that when I pass the UEFI to RAID controller, Windows Recovery will not use the System Image I did. He said that the volume was created under a different arrangement (Bios vs. EFI).

What are my options? Is there a different backup setting, which allows to keep all my installed software? I am not concerned with the data that I can copy it to an external volume, but it would take several days to get all of my software reinstalled. I would like to avoid this. I guess I'll have to reinstall Windows Pro 8.1 and then use a backup program to restore everything. If this is the case, then I need to know which backup program will work. If there is a better way, I would like to know. I see my options in the form, get another backup program, get a map of controller for the boot drive or the RAID volume or just reinstall.

    Thank you

  • Windows Server 2012 does not seem to recognize the space between the program and files

    I installed 'R' in D:\Program Files.
Then I need to install another application that must refer to this path and validate during its installation. Installation of the next application saying that there is a "Invalid Version of R.

If I install R in the following directories, it is recognized and my next application installed successfully:
    C:\Program Files
    Files S:\Program
    D:\R

Windows Server is not recognize the R application properly installed in "D:\Program Files." Windows runs into the space between "Program" and "Files" and put an end to the execution of this order.

The application I am trying to install the message 'Invalid Version of R' returns because he can't run the command check correctly. Because nothing is returned from the R.exe, he is unable to continue. This issue seems to be related to Windows and once R.exe can be run correctly D:\Program files, I would expect demand to continue to install. Is anyway getting D:\Program Files to be recognized as the other 3 directories I mentioned?

  • Can I upgrade to vista without deleting my xp programs and files?

    upgrade

Can I upgrade to vista without deleting my xp programs and files? I don't want to lose my programs/files downloaded, but I don't want to argue with remove them and reinstall later

Yes, you can perform an upgrade "On the spot" and all your personal data and software applications will be available in Vista (provided that they are compatible Vista).

As always, you should create a backup Image in XP before you begin the upgrade, just in case. Also check that you still have your XP product key. If this isn't the case, then use one of the below product key finders.

Note: Also check the side of your PC case or at the bottom of the laptop for the
Key OEM code. If there is a sticker with the code, it will probably not
corresponds to what is displayed by the utilities mentioned above as OEM such as
Dell use an internal key code when they build your PC.

The key on the sticker code should be used with your Windows CD
(who came if everything goes well with your PC) If you need to reinstall Windows.
