• In Windows 7, try to re - activate windows search, but it does not work

  I disabled Windows Search by going to the control panel => turn Windows on or off features => Windows Search and by unchecking the checkbox.

  I'm trying now reactivate it by putting a check in the box. It does not work. When I click OK, if I re - open the window, the box is gone again.

  It is indeed strange.  My two immediate suggestions would be to try the troubleshooter to search in the control panel............... but since you can't even activate that I am doubtful that would help.

  Secondly, and probably more likely to accomplish something, I would try the system restore in the start menu.  Since you can't use the instant search on the start menu, I think it's under Accessories, then system tools.
  Just open it, choose a date before the power off of search and click Next. The entire restoration takes about 2 minutes and will not affect your files, it just re - sets Control Panel.

  My Adobe Reader X software! worked very well in the function "Read Out Loud". I just downloaded Acrobat Reader DC and am disappointed by the Read Out Loud feature. It will read a single page and then stop; The "read at the end of the document" will not work. The player will stop after reading a page. Help!

  Hi Evona,

  I recommend to Open (ctrl + k) Reader preferences and uncheck 'Enable protected at Startup Mode' in the category '(enhanced) Protection' and restart the CD player. Let me know how it goes.

• Search for messages does not work. Help!

  I use Messages from research (selected from the menu of the right mouse button that appears when I click on an e-mail folder name) several times a day, either as a simple search with one thing to look for, or a complex search with 2 or more criteria. He often works well, but I also often find that it isn't finding the text in the body of an email (using "contains the body... »). There are some messages that it is not right.   FF5 I found that the ' Check for Updates ' and 'Automatically update Modules' doesn't work for plugins. In FF6, I noticed that a link has appeared 'check to see if your plugins are up to date.

  However, I discovered today in FF6, ' Check for Updates ', 'Find updates' (in the right-click menu on a particular module) and 'Automatically update Modules' did not work for extensions either.
