Have just bought a new iMac and imported all my old data. When I try to open a pages document it says that it cannot be opened because it is too old, and that to open it, I have to save it with Pages ' 09 first. So, how he back up if I can't open it?
Start the OS X App Store, then click on the item toolbar updates. V5.6.1 pages should be available, and this will open documents Pages ' 09, ' 08 and ' 06. In messages to this community, you should always share what version specific pages and OS X that you are currently using.

Adobe Acrobat is NOT COMPATIBLE with Windows Vista... it blocks any browser or operating system when I try to download or open any file PDF... y at - it a patch?
When I try to open a PDF file in IE 7 or Firefox 3.6, or just on the desktop, I get a sign that says:
"Program Compatibility Wizard".
"This program has known compatibility issues - check online if the solutions are available on the Microsoft Web site. If we find solutions, Windows automatically displays a Web site that lists the steps, you can take. »
"Program: . Acrobat Reader 7. Editor: "Adobe,location: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe.
"Acrobat Reader 7 has a compatibility issue with this version of Windows. For an update compatible with this version of windows, contact Adobe. »
"Search for solutions online - Run program - Cancel . "
If I click on one of the 3 buttons listed above, the browser, it blocks or breaks down the entire operating system.
Does anyone know of a patch for this... Adobe, what I find, has updated for Acrobat Reader, but they don't say if this is a patch for this problem of Vista incompatibility.
I searched on the basis of knowledge of Microsoft and this forum and I can't find anything definitive on this question.
I can not even download a PDF file, and still less open and looking at its content.
Known fixes?
Thank you

I get the above error message everytime I try to open microsoft word, excel etc. and it also appears when I try to open Itunes/Quicktime. I tried opening other programs and they work all (acrobat, Media Player etc.)
- Recent changes made to your computer - I was getting the error message displayed by this link here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=948432&start=15&tstart=0 I made the changes suggested by Ebody and it didn't work so I changed it back.
- What you have already tried to fix the problem - I downloaded the service pack 2 for office see if that would eradicate the problem, but he says that there are no products affected by this package installed on this system.
So I'm at a lost to know what to do and I have work I need to access! any help would be greatly appreciated!Hi Steve,.
Thanks for the reply again, I just did a Tassel factory by pressing F8 at startup upward and then through the options and make Factory Image Restore (after saving the contents of the hard drive to external hard drive) which took about 5-8 minutes after the return and then re-installed all my programs etc. , and everything works fine!
So I say this to all who have the same problem and no other method does work, simple - easy - fast!

Also the RealPlayer downloader is closed by the DEP and direct control host quick time windows will stop working.
I tried to reinstall realplayer, but does not work.
It could be Aproblematique with the codecs trying to preview the files. Go to the Control Panel, reports on problems and Solutions, click on "View problem history" on the left pane, scroll down to Windows Explorer, under click twice on the problem that correspond to the date and time that you have encountered the problem. Note the name of the file next to the heading ' fault module name: ', google for the file to see what program it is. Uninstall, update or reinstall the program.

My wife sent me an email with the content of the site Web of United Airlines. Trying to open it, my windows mail crashes. I can't delete because when I highlight the email it will automatically try to open it.
I have Windows Vista home edition.
Thanks for your help.
I thank very you much for your quick responses. I really appreciate it. In fact, I went offline, and it allowed me to highlight the message without trying to open it so I was able to remove it.
