secruit album + keywords

How can I create a smart album with photos that have no keywords?

There is no constraint for any keyword.  You would create a smart album, claiming that the absence of each of your keywords.

"The keyword isn't keyword1" and "the key word is not keyword2" and,.

As a workaround, you can rename all your keywords, then the key words will be all start with a certain prefix, for example "k:"; use 'k: flower"instead of"flower ".

Then you can simply search for "text does not contain of 'k:', to find all the photos without keywords.

  • How can I see what images are associated with my albums?

I create albums for various subsets of my photos and I would like to see what those who are associated with what albums.  And those who may be associated with several albums.  And who is not associated with albums.

You can find photos that aren't in any album by creating a smart album with the rule 'Album isn't everything. "

But the Photos is not a tool to reveal the photo albums is in.  If you want to be able to find the albums, smart albums based on key words to use. For example, instead to drag your photos of birds at a standard album "Birds", assigning the 'Bird' keyword and create a smart album "Keyword is the bird".  So looking at the keywords to a photo, albums, you'll see in.

  • IPhoto crashed and remove partial events

I'm sorry, there was a similar thread, and I accidentally it marked as closed. He came from nowhere and I includes a summary and a link at the bottom.

I launched iphoto 9.5.1 on 10.9.5 and have no good backup.  (Please do not pass judgment, I know I should have upgraded and saved...). Is it possible for me to return my events, changes, titles and other metadata?

2 days ago iphoto crashed and would not restart. When you hold option + command while from iphoto did not (much less quick to rebuild) library, I installed iPhoto Library Manager who found the library without even an error message but only a fraction of the pictures (about 1500 to 6000). Photos seem to lack of each event, the films have been truncated. The most recent event was absent.

I checked in the file system, Library.photolibrary/Masters/2014/05/10/ Pictures/iPhoto... the pictures were there and seem to be grouped reasonably, probably by import. A recovery of Library Manager iPhoto later with pictures of recovery orphan to return a batch of photos, I guess that all that were in events over what was in the trash. (Even after the removal of duplicates, I more than before.) They are in folders of every day now, I almost 500 instead of 90 and lost titles and most of the changes.

The simplest solution is to restore the backup copy of your library that was made just before this happen.

    If not try this:

With the help of iPhoto Library Manager to rebuild your iPhoto library

1 - Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch. > click on the button Add library.

2 - Select the library you want to add those in the selection window.

3 - Make sure that the window box "photos orphan Scavange" is checked in the reconstruction.

    4. now that the library is listed in the left pane of PILM, click your library and go to the Library ➙ rebuild library menu option

    5. in the next window name the new library, and then select the location you want to be placed. Click on the button create.

, Note 1: This creates a library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will retrieve the events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost.

Note 2: Your current library will be left intact for subsequent difficulty attempts if you wish.

  • Openness to the process of transition of Lightroom

I've migrated my Aperture to Lightroom library. The library is very large (200 + GB) and resides on an external hard drive.

When I plug the external hard drive in my desktop at home (a Mac) open Lightroom, I see that all my projects, the albums and the keywords correctly migrated to Lightroom. But when I plug the external hard drive to my laptop (MacBook Pro - newer than the desktop computer), none of these things is visible. In other words, I can click on 'import' at the bottom of the window, and all images appear in Lightroom, but only in chronological order. None of my organizational structure (projects, albums, keywords, etc.) appears. It is a profound mystery to me. Any thoughts?

I tried to contact customer support, but they were pretty useless so far. I must say I'm quite full of resentment that Adobe is asking its customers to commit by paying a monthly fee, but they seem to have pretty much washed their hands of their obligation to provide good customer service. It's not fair. All growing attempts of this complaint were given lip service with no real answer.

    Ellen (San Francisco)

Looks like Lightroom (= 'library' in opening) catalog is on the hard drive of the desktop computer. When you are on your laptop, you look at a catalogue to its hard drive, so it contains all the stuff on the other catalog opening ex.

If you need constantly to open your catalog on different machines, on the desktop, you need to find the catalog in the Finder and move it to the external hard drive. Button to display the menu, settings of the catalog, Lightroom will help you. Close LR and move it.

Once it is proposed, and then double-click the catalog (lrcat file) on the external hard drive. Set preferences for LR (General provisions) to open most recent catalog. And then, on the laptop, double-click the catalog and set the preference in the same way. Now your LR catalog resides on the external hard drive and each computer knows where he is.

  • Problem keyword smart photo album

I use photos for Mac v1.5.  I create two smart albums for a publication process;  "staging" & "published".   Photos have other criteria keywords, but use is "staged" & "published" to indicate their stage of the process.  I review publish items in staging SA, then add the word "published" key and remove the keyword "staged." 8 of the 10 times it works fine.

Always, however, this procedure fails and the photo ends up in the two smart albums even if 'staged' keyword is no longer attached.  I tried to remove all tags and Photos is restarted.  Also, if I search on the keyword 'intermediate' photos of problem will NOT appear.

It's a small but annoying problem. Assumptions about how to correct?

    Thank you

hard to tell with so little information - of course, you think that you did everything correctly, but because something works not the best place to watch the first is the exact criteria FRO each album

  • search with the keyword in the title of the album - showing not

When I got iPhotos / before I upgraded to El Capitan, voluntarily I named a couple of albums with the same word so I can see them all together in the search for this word.  Now, when I do a search, a list of all albums showing on the right.  The photos are not displayed.  Is it possible to view the photos instead of just the titles of the album?  Thank you.

Now, when I do a search, a list of all albums showing on the right.

You can click on the albums in the list to open them one by one. But research will not display the photos in the album. You will need to add the keyword to the individual photos in the album to show the photos in the list.

  • Question: smart album with no keywords

    Hello

I keep my pictures organized by keywords.

When organizing my library in iPhoto, I used a smart album named any keyword with condition 'keyword is not.

Is there a way to do this in Photos?

It seems there is no option to 'none '.

    Thank you

There is no documented option to create an album smart wih "keyword is not".

You can use a work cycle: rename all of your keywords to start with a fixed prefix "k::" or similar.  And search for photos with "text does not include" k:: "to find the photos without keywords."

  • How to go from iPhoto, while preserving the keywords and albums

I use iPhoto on OS 10.8 and 10.9, topic.  It works great but looks like I'll need to move off of it for later OS versions. What I need, it is

-keep the key words of my current missions and all other metadata

-maintain the Organization into groups, albums, etc. - keep my original structure

I'm not a pro photographer and I use Photoshop if needed, I don't need editing vast abilities, nor the functions of sharing (I do not post to Twitter etc.). What I need, it's so he can synchronize with my iPhone, as it does now, while selected albums are available on my iOS devices when I sync.

What are my options - this new software allows to import my existing library and everything else as - is?

  • Photos on macOS Sierra: Album of peoples does not synchronize with iCloud photo library

Using Photos has just been updated for Sierra, and we finally have it in writing:

    https://help.Apple.com/photos/Mac/1.2/?lang=en#/phtf5e48489c

Note: Persons identified in the album people are not synchronized between devices.

And as far as I know, it really does not synchronize between my libraries of Photos on the MacBook Pro and my iMac.

It's different in the 10 user guide iOS for the iPhone and iPad:

    http://help.Apple.com/iPhone/10/#/iph9c7ee918c

People are synchronized between devices where you are connected with the same Apple ID.

I wonder how this is supposed to work, if a Mac and iPhone are synchronized with iCloud User Library.

None of the faces that I named on my iPhone did sync it with my Mac.

Another indication that the lack of synchronization of the people and names is deliberate:

This document has now also been updated:

Use iCloud photo library on several Mac - Apple Support computers and Photos

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT204486

After have connected you, these items appear in the Photos app on all your Mac computers:

    • All photos and original videos
    • All folders and albums
    • Smart albums
    • Keywords
    • Memories
    • Key photo selections

He used to say, tags searchable faces will perform synchronization between devices, but the tags are more is mentioned. Now we have the 'memories' instead.

  • Sending Albums Photos from iPad to Mac

How can I transfer an ALBUM I created on my iPad to my iMac?  I know that I can transfer individual pictures, but them that I would need to recreate the album still once, it seems. I have the OS X El Capitan and the latest photos on my Mac and iPad software.

Using iCloud photo library? In the affirmative then regular albums synced automatically

If you are using other methods to import or sync then you can transfer photos - I have not tested with that since I use ICPL, but I believe that you can assign a keyword to photos to greatly simplify the process of recreation of the album on your Mac

  • How to search for a photo album?

I tried several options to search for a particular album. Using the name of the album in the box search brings no results. Searching with phrases such as: "Images I edited yesterday" works in a nondeterministic way - sometimes doesn't return all results, sometimes it works as expected.

Is there a detailed manual explaining what keywords should be used in spotlight to search for photos, including the album names?

What words to use to refine the result of a single album?

Way the easiest way is to show the sidebar (menu display == > display the sidebar)-right click on the 'albums' title and sort by name - then go to the album of your choice and click on it to view photos

  • marking of the photos to a photo album

I was wondering if anyone can suggest a solution. I'm storing my pictures in Photos 1.5 to stop the library becomes too large. Sometimes I deleted photos of photo books I did several years creating a gap in the book. Is there anyway that I can tag photos in a project as a keyword or something so I don't delete it and ruin the photo album?

I started recording my books in PDF format, so I have at least a copy in pdf format. Anyone know if these books pdf print as well, what impression secured by a third party, like printing a book via the system of Photos and uploading it to apple?

No - just be careful - many people put photos in an album before taking the book - if you don't have that you can easily add a keyword for them it

  • The photo with searchable keywords tagging?

Why is there no way to tag with keywords searchable photos? I have 37 000 + photos and none of them does not when I'm looking for them.

I use various applications and sometimes I know I have the perfect picture to post/share/reference in mind and cannot, for the life of me, find it. In addition, some applications will choke when dealing with my scroll so many photos.

"Faces" is fine, but I cannot find the "perfect willow tree' or"1949 Mercury hotrod"photo, that I took years.

Please Apple - add a function for 'tag' my own pictures in my photo album so that I can search and find relevant pictures.

Why nobody has thought of this? I will gladly accept a fee of 1 cent for each used tag and we'll call it square.

    Thank you

  • Can I recover the missing keywords in Aperture before update?

My keywords are missing from the metadata for almost all my images in my 30 + K library. I think this may have happened after the update to A3 from A2 some time back (and also updated to Maverick right here.) My library was inactive for a while and I now return, eager to use old pictures and also begin to add new ones. I have discovered the problem with the key words missing until recently, when looking for the latest images by keywords. Only keywords that appear in the metadata are the ones on the pictures that have been added after the update. The keyword lists are all there and I tried to add a new keyword to an image and that works. The other metadata for these old images still appear (legends, copyright, city, etc.). But the key word is now empty!

I need to update my OS of 10.9.5 in El Capitan (if necessary!) and I was concerned the opening and to make this gesture. I know I have to upgrade to A3.6, but I was advised to treat all questions before making that move and update. Any suggestions?

Remember all missing keywords?  If the keywords are always applied to your transferred images, but perhaps at a different metadata tag that Aperture is now using, you should be able to find them by a text search rather than look for keywords.  Test with a new smart album and use a rule 'text includes... '. "with one of your missing keywords.  Make sure the scope of the search is implemented in the library and not an album.

A rule of "Text includes" will find all text asociated with versions of your image.

I wouldn't drag my feet of Aperture 3.6 update. Opening is no longer sold at all since the AppStore, so it is difficult to predict how long the Aperture 3.6 update will remain available. You can only be updated by reinstalling the opening, and only if you have a version of the AppStore of Aperture.

  • Keyword is empty missing?

In iPhoto, there was a handy feature to capture images lack keywords by creating a Smart Album with the filter "keyword is empty." This would allow me to find the images are not grouped correctly. I don't find it in the Photos. To achieve the same thing, I have to add about 30 filters. It's really annoying. Is there a way to get around this? Am I missing something? If missing, why? Thanks for your time - it is much appreciated.

This essential feature is missing in the pictures.

You can send feedback to Apple a feature request. The feedback form is here:
