  If you go to programs and features, and then on the left side you should see a link for "Daily display installed."  Which would then show the list of updates with the State which will show you if it failed or not.

• Just installed update for Windows Media Player 11 and now, all the songs I had in my library before the update, I get the message you need a license to play these songs.

  These songs have been copied to my computer from the CD that I bought at retail, and have played several times.  Is there a process where they can be reinstated?
