  In addition to suggestions of Dave, if you haven't already done so, restart your computer. Everything we do is ask the BONES of the size of the screen and pronounced of 1024 x 768. We have seen Windows and the OS sometimes confused and reports an incorrect size. Restart fixes.

  When you check the size of your screen, be sure to subtract the size of the toolbar and of any similar modules you may be running. These all reduce the usable screen size, and we have seen (especially laptops) cases where that reduces the height of the screen below 768.

  The backlight of the display can be reduced and increased by using the key combination mentioned. This change does not affect the colors but only the brightness.
  Low brightness decreases energy consumption and lead to longer battery working time.

  If the laptop is plugged in (with adapter), there s no need to change the brightness of the display.

• Flickering squares colored forming strips on the screen

  I have an iMac 27 mid-2010 "with a videocard ATI Radeon HD 5750 El Capitan running.  I have recently begun to see small squares colored screen (pink, orange, red, green mainly) that start as low spread across the screen and little by little become denser with time.  Places at their peak form a checkerboard pattern forming bands across the screen, but generally not in the active window.  Sometimes, I have a few strips of squares flickering and some fixed.  The individual squares are really small - only a few (2-3) mm in size.  I also occasionally get a purple line or two parallel lines of purple on the top of the screen (but not in the active window).  The points seem to appear when the internal hard disk is done a lot of read/write (but I couldn't be sure that it is a part of the problem). I have attached a screenshot that shows a few random points - he gets much worse than this.  Maximize the active window frequently, but not always, makes them disappear.  If they appear in the active window (which happens rarely), the computer stops responding.  I also seem to be getting some flickering when scrolling windows or opening menus, or an area of the screen not refreshing immediately, which I've not seen before.  The computer in all other respects seems to operate normally.

  The purple strips at the top of the screen do not appear in this screenshot, but points are hard to see.

  

  First of all, the problem occurred after the upgrade to El Capitan.  I made a second installation of El Capitan in case it was caused by the upgrade nothing helps.  It is currently running 10.11.2.  The computer also had a replacement of that HARD drive internal installed a few months ago, but the points started to appear some time after that has been done.

  Someone has encountered this, or know a solution?  I'm starting to think that the trip of the new year for the doctor to Mac may be needed.

  I tried to watch in this topic everywhere wherever I could. I have not found a solution. As you can see in the picture as an attachment the color on the screen 1 (especially red) is so far the color on the screen 2. I didn't move screen Photoshop on screen 2 1. As I move the window from one screen to the other, you can see the colors change! Anyone know why this happens and how it can be fixed? I want the display 2 reds, not screen 1.

  Screen 1 is a pro SEIKI 4 k monitor. Screen 2 is a HP.

  Using the same profile for both will not make them alike. That's the whole point - profile applies to this particular display, so that Photoshop can correct specifically for this view.

  You can avoid the problem of color management in setting as system default sRGB for both. But that does not make them look the same.

  Go to the Windows color management > devices. Make sure that the profile created by the calibrator is checked (by default) and if it isn't, click on "set as default". This is one that uses Photoshop, so that the display. Do this for both screens.

  I noticed a constant tendency to view my pictures on my computer from a television screen.  The pictures always seem to have the color saturation a lot more on the TV screen on the computer screen.  It is a small frustratiing because I edit my photos to look good on the computer then they look elsewhere over-saturated after have been engraved on a DVD and played on the TV screen.

  Is this something due to the different color profiles used by a TV or a computer screen?

  It is also because of various hue, Saturation, and brightness parameters that you created on your computer screen and the TV screen.

  You can try to use Image of the PES Editor... Convert a color profile to ensure that images are set to "sRGB" and see if that helps...
