Select the element with PL/SQL

Hi all

In the thread: can you disable an item with some javascript and activate with pl/sql, Salvatore suggested a solution for the activation of an element after him be handicapped at the start as follows:
Howard:

It is possible albeit a little contorted.
You could define a hidden page-item named P1_HIDE_THIS say.
In the page-item's HTML Form Element Attributes specify &P1_HIDE_THIS.

You can then set P1_HIDE_THIS using pl/sql or sql to ' disabled ' or '' . The setting of P1_HIDE_THIS will of course have to happen before the item is rendered.

Varad
Anyone outthere knowing the above solution especially this part:
You can then set P1_HIDE_THIS using pl/sql or sql to ' disabled ' or '' .
Please explain it to me in detail (with examples). Any help is very appreciated!

Hi Kamo

Any value of the element that is already stored in the session can be used on a page using & nom_element. Notation. What city suggests is that you create a hidden page called P1_HIDE_THIS element and set it to the value either "Disabled" or ". You can then use & P1_HIDE_THIS. wherever you want the value to appear. In your case, you put this into the attributes of elements of HTML form to the page elements you want to turn, it becomes part of the attributes of the INPUT tag when the item is rendered on the page - if P1_HIDE_THIS is "and then nothing happens, but if it is"disabled", then the item becomes invalid. How do you set the value of P1_HIDE_THIS depends on how you determine when goods are intended to be disabled. This must be done until the page is loaded (the front header point of process or calculation would) so that the value is available when the elements are rendered. For example, suppose that you want to disable the items when the current user is 'ABC ':

IF UPPER(:APP_USER) = 'ABC' THEN
 :P1_HIDE_THIS := ' disabled ';
ELSE
 :P1_HIDE_THIS := '';
END IF;

Add as a process that runs before Header on the page.

A very simple example to do this kind of thing: [http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=2371:6]

    4 is located at 1 (and there are different places...) so sql must return to the fourth line.

    To find all the rows that are within the range of at least one other line with another location:

    SELECT     *
    FROM     table_x  m
    WHERE     EXISTS (
                 SELECT  1
                 FROM        table_x
                 WHERE   location          != m.location
                 AND        value          <= m.value
                 AND        value + poolsize     >= m.value + m.poolsize
                )
    ;

    When you talk of the "" * most * inner range ", do you mean that you might have another line, such as"

    INSERT INTO table_x (id, vlue, poolsize, location) VALUES (5, 37, 1, 'C');

    which is inside the range of id - 4, and that's why you wouldn't have id = 4? If so, include examples in the results and data sample yout. You can do this with a query CONNECT BY, or, depending on your version of Oracle, a WITH recursive clause.

  • Back to zero/recalculate value if the element with dynamic action

    Hi all

    What I have is a part of "total amount". When the other elements on the form are filled, these values are subtracted from the total. My problem is that when a few points to say a filled out, but then set to zero, the figure in the total does not reset. If no new figure added, are more excluded.

    For example:
    total = 10
    Value of 1 changed to 5. Total = 5.
    Value of item 2 changed to 1. Total = 4.
    Value of 1 changed to 2. Total = 2.

    I find it tricky is because the total is derived from an action of current setpoint led other points. Finally, I would like to reset or re - run the calculation for the total, without duplicating the original action of the set value. I tried to use a dynamic action "Refresh" but I don't think that work in this way. Is there another way?

    Why not save the original value to an item hidden page (or even in a global variable set before you run the JS calculation for the first time in javascript).
    During the reset, set the value of the element with the value of the hidden (or variable).

  • Branch to the Page identified by the element with parameters

    A certain page we originally had a 'branch at or the Page URL' that has parameters associated with it (which one who reset the element on the page the branch goes back to the current value of the item page before branching him given that this necessary element to stay with the current value of population but was erased when he branched out) but now I have a new Application process that defines an element of the request for the page that should be branched to.

    Since Apex does not recognize the elements of the Application in a "branch of Page or URL", I need to create a "branch of Page identified by Item", the problem is that there is no "Set these elements" "with these values" with this type of branch or the option to include parameters in a URL target. I already tried to use the "branch Page or the URL" with the Application in the URL element, but that no longer works.

    Any suggestions on how I might branch to a page based on an element of the Application (if not this way, somehow creates a branch to a page based on a value in an application process) with the settings?

    What does not make sense to me, is that you could create a branch to a Page with a value of Page element with parameters defining the elements with certain values, but you can do this when identified by the item or it is not yet Application_Items in a Branch_to_Page/URL.

    Thank you in advance,
    -Brian

    Brian,

    Have you tried to use the Type of the branch "Branch to the Page identified by the (name of the use element) element" and put the name of your APP_ITEM like

    APP_ITEM

    ?

    This should work for you.

  • Select the element on a form as a table with a different dynamic LOV on each line

    I would use a tabular form when one of the columns is a Select based dynamic LOV, and where this is dynamic LOV refers to a column on the values in each row.

    So if the tabular presentation was a list of teams and the column selection LOV was the current head of the team, I would like to than this selection list to be filled only with the members of this team (different for each line). As the list of the members of the team is in a different table (all_players or something) I won't fill the LOV with a query with a where clause clause that only selected records of players from team-membership equal to the id of the current team tabular form. Thus, on each line the content of this list would be different.

  • Select the list with the list of dynamic values with more than 4000 tank of query

    Hello

    I have no application where users can store SQL queries in a CLOB column. This query is then used to populate the list, select a dynamic element through LOV. Following the code returns the query for dynamic LOV used to populate the select list. It works fine except when the length of the lv_sqlStatement becomes more than 4000 characters. Then application crashes with "ORA-06502: PL/SQL: digital or value error: character string buffer too small" when Select the list item rendering.

    Any ideas how to get around this problem? Any help is appreciated. Do not say to them to write shorter than 4000 queries because I can't (it's operational requirements).

  • Copy columns from one Table to the other with PL/SQL in Apex

    end loop;

    end;

    I enter this code in the SQL prompt in the SQL workshop and it is said that she is treated, but when I look at the destination table (DKT_HIST), there is no data. Any help would be appreciated.  In this code I want to copy the three columns of the DEKIT table as well as the current date and copy them to DKT_HIST for each row in the table DEKIT.

    Thank you

    The reason why your code did nothing is probably because your loop, using the history table. And since there no data in the historical table first, there is nothing to loop.

    BUT!

    Good code is the task with the least possible effort. Which in your case should result in a code similar to this:

    begin
       insert into DKT_HIST (DEKIT_ID,NT,QUANTITY,DDATE)
       select DEKIT_ID,NT,QUANTITY, trunc(sysdate)
       from DEKIT;
    end;

  • Select the query with the level line list where the clause

    Hi all

    I am creating a tabular presentation based on a SQL query that has a list of selection based on a query with a where clause clause that refers to a column in the original SQL query.

    The situation is, I have a table that stores the client_id, source_id, and build_id, lets call it client_source. I have a second table, build_source, containing source_id and build_id, one to many relations between the two (1 source_id could have build_id 1-7).

    Using a tabular presentation, I want to select the correspondent build_id to use in client_source, but the selection list should contain only the build_id for this particular source_id of lines.

    Here is an example of the SQL source of tabular presentation;

    Select
    s.ROWID,
    s.CLIENT_ID,
    s.SOURCE_ID,
    APEX_ITEM. SELECT_LIST_FROM_QUERY (1, s.BUILD_ID,)
    "Select display b.build_id, b.build_id return.
    b build_source where b.source_id = s.SOURCE_ID ') lst
    of s client_source

    what I want to achieve, it's as source_id "BOLD" match fields. When the query is built this way, I get an error of "invalid identifier" Oracle on s.SOURCE_ID during execution.

    Is there some special tags to be used to refer to the external column? I must be missing something because this looks like a pretty mundane problem.

    I am running on 4.1.0.00.32, on an Oracle 10 g release 10.2.0.4.0 Server Express request.

    I look forward to useful responses!

    Your selection by query list receives a static SQL. That SQL can't "see" the value of your s.source_id.
    But it would work like this:
    where b.source_id = ' | s.SOURCE_ID)

    You would be the value for the SQL concatenation. It is not ideal, but it will work.
