• How can I select the first date (at least) and the corresponding date of two different tables source?

  I have 2 tables, INVOICE and INVOICE_REFNUM similar to below. I'm writing a query that withdrawing the first date (less) for a single record remaining the two tables. Each table records the receipt of invoices, but according to the source of the received invoice some may reside in INVOICE_REFNUM and others the INVOICE table. I also use DECODE on the topic of INVOICE_SOURCE, when the date less is taken from the INVOICE table that contains that field, so if the date is in the field INVOICE_REFNUM DECODE is not necessary. Example:

  There is no reason to do an outer join if you only want the lines with specific values anyway.

  What happens if the 2 tables have exactly the same invoice_date?  The query above takes the invoice_source of invoice_refnum in this case, but that can easily be changed.

  Or the other of the insert_dates can be NULL?

  You have to check what is the value returned by the selection list when you select '%' in the select...
  There is a null value to display field where you can enter '%' and the return NULL value you enter 0

  then change your query in a table

• Select the list with a shipment does not save to the database

  OK, I have a form with several fields (text, radiobox, selection list, display text). I have one of these lists of selection fill a display in the text field. When I chose a selection of the selection list, she filled the screen in the text field with the correct information but erased all the other information that was the inscription in the other fields. I searched the forum and found that the selection list should be a selection with mailing list and the branch page on itself, which works, but now these 2 fields information is not saved in the database.   Hi Deanna,
  First the display as a text cannot insert data into the database. It can only display data from database. I guess you do not want the user to enter these areas, and that's why you use display as text field.

  There is a good way to resolve this situation. Say, you have 3 select list P1_ITEM1, P1_ITEM2, P1_ITEM3 in your page. For the change of P1_ITEM1 the screen Select the list and the LOV type in your query, assuming you want the value to be retrieved from a table. Therefore, type-

  Select emp_id, ename from emp;

  type the default value and null -1 and display null YESvalue. Make sure that under the type of source, you have the selected with the correct name database column.
  for P1_ITEM2 to the section LOV retype your query - i.e.

  Select mng_id, executive pay where emp_id = NV('P1_ITEM1') or NV ('P1_ITEM1') = 1

  Basically, this statement updating the data in the list select second after the first selection. type the default value and null -1 and display null YESvalue. Make sure that under the type of source, you have the selected with the correct name database column.

  Do the same for the third. It should work fine.

• DateFields 5.0 + operating systems. Impossible to select the current date.

  Have a slight situation.    Have a date with the value field by default of - etc.   The user is not able to select the current date, and must choose another date and what to do again to select the current date.

  This works very well in the pre - 5.0 OSes, but does not work with 5.0 +.

  The date field popup works fine, but if the user tries to select the current date, it is not get populated in the date field.

• Select the list with the list of dynamic values with more than 4000 tank of query

  I have no application where users can store SQL queries in a CLOB column. This query is then used to populate the list, select a dynamic element through LOV. Following the code returns the query for dynamic LOV used to populate the select list. It works fine except when the length of the lv_sqlStatement becomes more than 4000 characters. Then application crashes with "ORA-06502: PL/SQL: digital or value error: character string buffer too small" when Select the list item rendering.
  
  Any ideas how to get around this problem? Any help is appreciated. Do not say to them to write shorter than 4000 queries because I can't (it's operational requirements).

The Firefox button is displayed by default only in Windows Vista and Windows 7, but you can turn on or off or switch between the two or temporarily show the menu bar when the Firefox button is displayed.

  You have a "Community Toolbar" extension installed? Which has been reported by other users of Mac as affecting the new tab feature in Firefox 30.

  I think that's what you want, enter a model in your list of files vi (for example, *.txt) and then just use File.vi text of reading by using the selected item in the list box (double click on event or value change) and use the starting for the vi records list path.  I have included a crude extract for your pleasure.

  APEX Oracle 11.2 4.1 using SE (Oracle Linux Server release 6).
  
  I have a Page with a region based on a tabular presentation.
  The query Source in the region has several columns, including an id I have also added a DATE column and a column of "Buttons" that appear on all ranks.
  The extra DATE field is displayed as a list select a named LOV.
  The extra button field appears as a standard report column and has the link column attributes that cause a branch to another page when you press.
  
  I want to make is that when the user presses the button on one of the lines, APEX defines two elements of application before going to the new page:
  1. the ID column of the line in which the key has been pressed
  2. the value currently highlighted in the select list, for the line in which the key has been pressed
  
  Using a link of #ID column element value # I can successfully get their hands on the ID column for the line concerned.
  But do the same thing for the select list column invariably returns by default in the Select list (i.e. the value initially selected). It does not pick up the change if the user has entered in the select list and chose a different value.
  
  Can someone advise how best to gain the value selected in a Select list in a tabular presentation?

  This approach works:

  1 make sure you have unique names for the id on the elements of the apex for example. in the use of sql, something like:

  ID = f02_' | rownum

  2. Add a hidden column in the form of table containing the rownum (named p_row in this example)

  3 put the URL of the link column:

  I think that I misunderstood what follows in the original post:

  I took this means that the name was displayed in the select list and has been stored in the status column value / session. This clearly shows not the case in the HTML code generated for the control above.

  You seem to want the control to display the selected option value, but present the content of the list option when activated. In this case, Yes, the behavior that you expect is certainly not provided by standard selection list control (if I am now actually understand this and expect this selection and display behavior to occur in a single command).

  The standard command with behavior more closely matches the one described is a Popup LOV with field of entries of configuration Enterable, Show and store return value, as in This example added to your application.

  I added a date picker to my report. and in the report source, I added a clause where clause to filter the report based on the selected date (which is one of the columns of the table), but it showed nothing.

  When I remove the where clause appear all the records and when I return it... nothing there.

  You have data, it's good. You have isolated the problem to what seems to be the WHERE clause, all right. The WHERE clause is simple, good. So, it would seem DATE NOT =: P23_DATE corresponding to your query.

  Don't forget - or noted that if you didn't know these are page elements (always?, for most) strings. As Jeff intimates, if the DATE is a date, you get implicit date conversion in your WHERE clause. (BTW, isn't DAY a reserved word?) May I suggest trying "DATE = TO_DATE (: P23_DATE, 'the date format') ' make explicit a conversion?

  Also, I recommend that you run any question, you have a problem with in the APEX SQL command window. Then, you can see immediately what APEX has returned for your query. It helps my a lot of debugging.
