SelectionManager flashing I-beam abduction

I have an application which in all respects can be considered similar to the example of Pagination.
I do not want the end-user to be able to edit the document, but I need to do some operation when the user interacts with the text, as do some actionscript when they click a LinkElement, or create a hover on elements ParagraphElements and DivElements on mouseover.

That's why I created a superclass of SelectionManager to manage text events and mouse events.

The side effect of this design is that, when the user place the mouse on any ancient text, the pointer of the mouse is almost always an i-beam insertion point, giving the impression that editing is available, even if they can indeed change.

If I find another way to make the events and eliminate the SelectionManager completely, then I don't get the practical possibility for my users to select a section of text, then copy it to the Clipboard.

Surely, there must be a way, when using a SelectionManager to have the cursor of the arrow during the overflight of arbitrary text and a hand pointer when you move to a LinkElement rather than the i-beam, however, I can't figure out how to make this happen on my own.

If anyone out there can help me with this, I surely you my gratitude.
Thank you
Tim

Anyone?

longlostbigelow,
Thans for your answer.

I must have done that 100 times, but just couldn't work... then you inspired me to try once more, with a slight change...

In my mouseOverHandler, I was doing a treatment, and in general, if nothing special was going on, I'll be back super.mouseOverHandler (e).

Well, that was what hurt me...

Great was the substitution of the mouse cursor.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. You really made my app much prettier with a simple change.

Thank you
Tim

  • How to turn off the flash on a 600ex and still use it to control unit main radio send?

I have several 600 EX - RT flashes.  Currently, I don't have a ST-E3-RT.  I thought that I read somewhere that you can turn off the flash in one of the of the 600EX and still have it control others.  I would like to be able do this by using a 600EX in my claw with the Flash disabled in Radio mode, controlling the other 600 EX flashes.

Is this possible to do?  If so what are the steps in specific menus or what is the specific manual page, I need to go to in order to know how to turn the flash on the master to the wide and still, it works like the sending unit for the other 600 in radio mode.

    Thank you

    Jason

Menu of your camera has a menu option for flash (the specific wording depending on the camera model).

Enter this menu and tell him to 'disable' the flash.  This will allow the flash to do everything he does (for example the focus-assist beam will work, the radio will work, etc... but he fires the flash to take pictures.)

  • Cover my 600EX-RT flash LINK is still red in slave mode

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me here.

I got my Flash Canon & T5i recently, these two works great when the flash is mounted on the camera, but when Iam using the flash in the mood of the slave with the camera the cover link turns red indicating no connection between both & do not come to green at all, here are my settings:

    T5i camera:

    Flash shooting Enabled

E - TTL II measuring device to assess

Built in flash set to Cust wireless

Wirless Func value for the two flash fires (on camera & external)

    Shooting defined group at ALL

using Channel 4 for communication with flash

    Flash 600EX-RT:

    Wireless Radio slave

    ETTL

    Channel 4

    Group A

How can I get both to work via the wireless radio signal, please help thank you.

600EX-RT can work wireless or via radio - or - optical trigger.

The native ability to the _only_ T5i is to trigger an external flash via optical... not radio.  To do radio, you must either add the camera ST-E3-RT trigger... or put another 600EX-RT flash camera to act as the master of the radio.

You can, however, pass the 600EX-RT in 'optics' slave mode  To do this, hold the link button until the screen backlight is yellow (not green) and the symbol in the upper right corner shows lightning (not the antenna of the radio).  The link light goes out in optical mode (since there is no radio activity).  Also the Red accent-assistance LED beam will be impulse/Flash on the front of the Flash to tell you it is active (you can turn off if it's distracting.)

Note that perspective requires line of sight.  Support of the 600 who hides behind the red lens on half lower 600EX-RT.  You may need to rotate the lower part of the 600EX-RT to face the flash on the camera so that it can 'see' the flashover on the device; the flash head rotates so you can always point it where you need - independent how half lower faces.

Note that (and it's confusing) even if you "disable" the on-camera flash because you don't want there light in your pictures... you will ALWAYS see it fire.  But he fires the flash instructions for the remote control while the shutter is always closed.  The shutter opens, and only off-camera flash goes off (if you have disabled the on-camera flash).  All this happens so fast that you would think that both flashes have been used for shooting.  Thorough image will reveal that the light of the camera was not present in the shot when the shutter is open.

  • 5 d MkIII. D 5 triggers flash or inconsistent shutter static onstage.

Test my new ABF-800 flash with my 5 D MkIII. Settings of 5 d on M, sync flash by power cord. The 5 d arbitrarily decides to trigger the shutter & flash or not and even trigger not shutter at certain times, with no changes in the scene. Any ideas of what's going on?

On a 5 d III, you can replace a large number of stuf you can't control on other boxes.  But in general... If the camera is in One Shot mode and AF is enabled on the lens, then the camera will NOT take the shot until it can confirm that it was able to lock focus at least one area of focus.

If a dedicated Canon flash flash was in the shoe, the AF assistance light beam is (once again... by default but it can be disabled) to help the development of camera (it casts a light distribution on the subject that the camera can easily block on and focus.)

Since you have a 5 d III (so those who might be reading this who do not have this same camera body - ignore this, because your camera will not have this definition) follow these steps:

    Press Menu

Go to magenta 'AF' tab page 3 (there are 5 subpages in the AF section... you want to the 3e)

Navigate down to select which reads "One-shot AF release prior." (it's the release priority setting), then press the Set"" button.

It will show two options... 'Libération' and 'Focus' - change to 'Release' and press the 'Set' button (and whatever you do... DO NOT FORGET THAT YOU CHANGE this or you you'll regret later.)

What you have done is changed the camera to "Priority Focus" to "release shutter priority.  Here's what this means:

Normally, when you're in one-shot mode (and most Canon bodies work this way), the camera is in mode 'Put priority to the point'.  That means that when press you the shutter button completely to take a picture, the unit computer photo says that the most important factor is to ensure that the image is FOCUSED... BEFORE the shooting.  The camera takes really the shot by the time the shutter button is pressed completely - he waits until it can confirm that it has locked focus at least one area of focus.  In a lot of light, this all happens very quickly.   However... If the camera cannot lock focus at all (lack of contrast, not enough light), no beam for accent-assistance to the rescue, etc. etc. then it will actually refuse to take the picture... it'll be like the unit is defective (it isn't... it did what it said to do that is not take a picture until it can confirm the first update.)

When a Canon camera's AI Servo (other agencies Canon - not your 5 d III) mode, the camera is changed to "release priority".  It means that the computer in the camera is said to take the picture as soon as you press the shutter button... COMPLETELY and it will, if it was over the focus or not (and it is VERY important that remember you that.)  In this mode it is yours for only half-press (or if you have reassigned the button of the development of a "back" button) to ensure the update is completely before pressing the button completely.  There are reasons why you would like a camera behaves this way - often in a situation you may have worn before the camera anticipating the action and the most important is to take the picture at this "decisive moment."

On your 5 d III, you can actually change the priority of the release shutter or developed by the settings in menu and it will work regardless of whether the device is in "One Shot" vs mode "HAVE Focus".

But do not forget that you changed it... or the next time you're out somehwere and fully press the button, you'll end up with blurry photos because the camera will think that you just decided to skip the update because you knew what you were doing (and which can be annoying when you come back with a whole bunch of soft hits.)

  • Auto flash in creative modes, close-up and portrait on Rebel EOS T5?

When you photograph in creative Auto modes, Portrait and close-up on my EOS Rebel Rebel T5, Auto flash 1200 keeps flickering and sometimes I am unable to take pictures for some reason any. Is there a way to disable the automatic blinking and keep it? How can I solve this problem? I try to stay there and finally, it will take a picture with the flash if I understand just fine, but sometimes it will not even. Is this a problem with the backlight or something? Thank you.

It seems that the camera can use flash as a light to help him to focus in the dark.

The camera will automatically appear the flash in auto mode, but if the lighting is not sufficient to allow the camera to focus, the camera will quickly burst flash for about 1 second in order to create enough light to allow the lens to focus.

If the focus points are not on a subject that allows for sufficient contrast to focus in this 1 second then the camera may refuse to take the picture.

The pop-up flash is not particularly powerful (the built-in flashes are never very powerful on cameras) and the subject must be close enough to make it work.  If they are too far away it will fail.

Some Canon Speedlite flashes have a focus-assist beam 9e.g. the 430EX II and III-430EX RT all have two of it than many others).  The device emits a red motif which is sufficient to allow the camera to lock focus quickly even in very dark situations.

  • I have an EOS Rebel XS & a Speedlite 430EXii. The AF assist beam only works on full auto.

I thought that the assistance AF beam should run on all custom modes, I use the TV mode more because I like the shutter priority, but he does not focus in low light. Can someone help me? Is it a camera, flash or a setting issue?

It should work fine in Tv mode.  However, it won't work if a your autofocus AI Servo.  Check the adjustment and change in one fell swoop.

If only it does not double controls custom functions, but most of the time people have wrong with AF help it is because they have in AI Servo.

  • EOS 60 d - does beam to support AF?

Hey everybody. I did research everywhere. I'm sure that I'm watching my beam to support AF and I have it turned on in the settings. But for the life of me no matter what setting I put it on it will not fire if that's the case.

I made sure that I was in One Shot AF, shot of road.

I'm not a fan, but I am confused. Is it defective?

    Thank you!

    Mike

"Bundle of assistance AF" is badly chosen in this case, although it is more of a general term.  The camera uses the built in flash for AF assist, not a dedicated red/IR light as on flashes.

How to do a 'clean' Flash Player installation in Mac OS X

  • Galaxy Note 10.1, tactile, Photoshop and Flash

What is the best way to learn Photoshop Touch to consider when you try to view the tutorials, the same pill that beams the soft leaves you not download Flash, what is required to watch them? (This is so user-hostile it reflects badly on Adobe and Samsung, IMO).  I just want to find the equivalent of "Save as" and the folder in the desktop version.

    Here's the FAQ:

How to manually install Flash Player on my Android device?

  • Flash oder Director for a presentation of the company?

Hello, I hope that it s ok to describe my thread in German:

ICH habe die Aufgabe, eine Firmenprasentation zu create. Sharp soll dann via CD probably / possibly aber auch als Datei über auf Office Ausgabegeraten wie Beamer, control city werden. Man kann dazu ja both als auch Flash Director benefits. ICH kenne mich persönlich mit mehr Flash aus als mit Director. Und meine question ist: wenn man nur ein von beiden Programmen zu available hat, which ware wurde sich mehr für die Prasentaion Herriot? Flash oder Director?

It's okay, but it limits your chances of getting aid.

For some reason any the flash does not fire on my camera. I have been through all the settings, I can find that might be related, but to no avail. It triggers the Red beam focus, but will not flash or even allow the shutter turn on flash mode.

Please set up the device for repair or service will be required. Here is the link https://eservice.sony.com/webrma/web/index.do

I have a first generation of Apple Watch.  I recently did the upgrade to the new operating system for watches.  I have a picture as my background.  Since the update, when I turn my wrist to me, to "turn on" the face of the watch, it a little 'flash' thing she had ever done before.  It's a quick way, irruption of the image of the picture on my watch that then remains on the image.  Has anyone else seen/noticed does this?
