5 d MkIII. D 5 triggers flash or inconsistent shutter static onstage.

Test my new ABF-800 flash with my 5 D MkIII. Settings of 5 d on M, sync flash by power cord. The 5 d arbitrarily decides to trigger the shutter & flash or not and even trigger not shutter at certain times, with no changes in the scene. Any ideas of what's going on?

On a 5 d III, you can replace a large number of stuf you can't control on other boxes.  But in general... If the camera is in One Shot mode and AF is enabled on the lens, then the camera will NOT take the shot until it can confirm that it was able to lock focus at least one area of focus.

If a dedicated Canon flash flash was in the shoe, the AF assistance light beam is (once again... by default but it can be disabled) to help the development of camera (it casts a light distribution on the subject that the camera can easily block on and focus.)

Since you have a 5 d III (so those who might be reading this who do not have this same camera body - ignore this, because your camera will not have this definition) follow these steps:

Press Menu

Go to magenta 'AF' tab page 3 (there are 5 subpages in the AF section... you want to the 3e)

Navigate down to select which reads "One-shot AF release prior." (it's the release priority setting), then press the Set"" button.

It will show two options... 'Libération' and 'Focus' - change to 'Release' and press the 'Set' button (and whatever you do... DO NOT FORGET THAT YOU CHANGE this or you you'll regret later.)

What you have done is changed the camera to "Priority Focus" to "release shutter priority.  Here's what this means:

Normally, when you're in one-shot mode (and most Canon bodies work this way), the camera is in mode 'Put priority to the point'.  That means that when press you the shutter button completely to take a picture, the unit computer photo says that the most important factor is to ensure that the image is FOCUSED... BEFORE the shooting.  The camera takes really the shot by the time the shutter button is pressed completely - he waits until it can confirm that it has locked focus at least one area of focus.  In a lot of light, this all happens very quickly.   However... If the camera cannot lock focus at all (lack of contrast, not enough light), no beam for accent-assistance to the rescue, etc. etc. then it will actually refuse to take the picture... it'll be like the unit is defective (it isn't... it did what it said to do that is not take a picture until it can confirm the first update.)

When a Canon camera's AI Servo (other agencies Canon - not your 5 d III) mode, the camera is changed to "release priority".  It means that the computer in the camera is said to take the picture as soon as you press the shutter button... COMPLETELY and it will, if it was over the focus or not (and it is VERY important that remember you that.)  In this mode it is yours for only half-press (or if you have reassigned the button of the development of a "back" button) to ensure the update is completely before pressing the button completely.  There are reasons why you would like a camera behaves this way - often in a situation you may have worn before the camera anticipating the action and the most important is to take the picture at this "decisive moment."

On your 5 d III, you can actually change the priority of the release shutter or developed by the settings in menu and it will work regardless of whether the device is in "One Shot" vs mode "HAVE Focus".

But do not forget that you changed it... or the next time you're out somehwere and fully press the button, you'll end up with blurry photos because the camera will think that you just decided to skip the update because you knew what you were doing (and which can be annoying when you come back with a whole bunch of soft hits.)

  • video triggering flash animation

    Hello

I am creating a website where my client wants a Flash animation to start as soon as its video playback ends. The video really needs to listen. It is too large to incorporate. So far, I've tried a timer integrating the video just to see how many images it is and then placing the film on the number of the frame of the time line using rather than embedded streaming video. In both cases, the Flash animation are not always systematically start when I want to start. I don't know if, by nature, the movie streaming has a variety of images per second, or if I'll be really stupid my approach.

This make sense to anyone and is there a way to make this work? I've been looking Flash books and scouring the web and have yet to find something that works for me.

    I use Flash 8.

  • Flash triggers

Can I use triggers flash with the A6000 off the coast of the camera flash photography?

    Hi fotoman.

Welcome to the community of Sony!

Yes, the camera is compatible with wireless triggers flash to off the coast of the camera flash photography.

For now, sony have yet the available triggers, but there are triggers flash of third parties that you can use.

  • Does Canon 70 d has a bulit in triggering the flash! Or I need a third device!

Hello. Well, I turned off the camera speedligt but I could not do proud without having built in flash on. What happens if I want to use the camera light speed without one on the camera. as I know that canon has a bilut regier and I did not need third party peripheral!
    Thank you

The firing the flash using the flash on the camera and it is optical. You can 'turn off' the flash to use only the flash off camera, but the on-camera flash should always be raised.

It will fire a pre-Flash, while the shutter of the camera is always closed to assess the light (if you use E - TTL instead of manual) and also to send instructions to the camera flash (again, for the E - TTL... but also to tell the off camera flash when fire.). The calendar has a fractional period. Then he tells flash off camera to fire trees, opens the shutter, then the detached flash (and only the off-camera flash), then the shutter closes.

This all happens VERY quickly and you'd swear two flashes fired at the same time - when in fact the on-camera flash fires when the shutter is closed, and the detached flash fired his last shot when the shutter is open.

To do this, you will need to go into your control the flash menu and tell him to 'disable' the on-camera flash. Disabling does not mean that the flash get used... It simply means that it does not at this final moment when the shutter is actually open.

Also note that, because it using visible light (no IR) to convey instructions, detached flash sensor must have line-of-sight to the on-camera flash. If it is a flash like the Canon 430EX II Flash speedlite, the sensor is in the lower part of the Flash. This means that you may need to rotate the lower part of the flash to face the camera, then rotate the flash head to send the light where you need it. If the lower unit, simply is facing toward the front you will find that it is less reliable (especially on the longer distances or outdoors).

  • External flash for wireless on the A77 operation and A700

I have a DSLR Sony A-77 and another (former) A-700. I shoot in a studio with 2 flashes Sony wireless and manual way. The internal flash triggers the external flashes that are placed on the floor or on tripods, one on each side. Now, I want to add a third speed light mainly for the backlight. I was told to buy a used Minolta Flash (to save costs). I don't know what Flash will work the way I need to work.
Which is compatible with my camera?
I'll be able to use manually, wireless, as internal third triggered flash to flash my cameras?

Is it possible to find a used or a new one at a lower cost?
Thanks in advance for your attention.
    Nuki

Unfortunately, we have not tested the compatibility of third party brand with our cameras and we can not guarantee full functionality. However, any flash unit that can be optically triggered should be able to operate as a slave flash.

  • Behavior of exposure camera with Flash in M Mode?

Assuming that I'm shooting in Aperture priority with evaluative metering on 5 d Mk III and have a 580EX mode Mr. La camera assume there is no flash and a shutter based on the ambient value?

    Thank you!

    Wayne

Yes, the device set the shutter speed to expose the background, and then fills the object with the flash.

For the sake of discussion, any reason why you use Av mode with flash?  I recommend trying manual, I think you will find that you have a little more consistency on the results.  Issues like pictures of ghosts and blurry can occur if your camera is to drag the shutter too to get exposure.

  • Flash delay wireless RX1

FYI: found a Flash problem wireless RX1 F20AM VHF F60M > to > F60M off-camera, which is strangely similar to that of the a99 motorway...

where wireless TTL Flash trigger is delayed. The second pop of the TTL flash off when I lift my finger from the shutter.

A problem that should be fixed, but it is somewhat like a button on the A$ $ of a Super HOT girlfriend. You want to go far, but she is 'Still' really, really HOT.      LOVE the RX1!

Compared to the Nikon CLS where a D800 FW1.01 will take this second pop of the sb900 and almost have the IMPRESSION that it fires the Flash 'Before' the shutter knocks down. Yeh, it's that FAST. That's why I have four sb900!

Here is the LINK to a tube in the program Flash a99 u. On the RX1 is pretty much the same thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHrBcT51oE8

FYI: a feature request: have a little Flash / shutter as the F20M... who can move on the SIDE and BACK... and CONTROL at least three (3) groups of flashes, be able to MODEL them and make the SONY REPORTS... and have at least three (3) channels it can change to. Having just CH 1 is malfunctioning for a shot with 'other' PROs PRO events.

RADIO would be a good thing

  • 600ex trigger with an another ST - E3 with a ST - E3

    Hello

    I am two 600ex-rt and two st - e3.

with 2 st - e3, I know that I can trigger the 3 5 to take the picture wireless using a st - e3 on the 5 d 3 and hand holding the other st - e3. with this configuration in mind, can I also trigger a 600ex-rt to trigger too with the click of the shutter on the 5 d 3?

    Thank you

    Scott

I just did a quick test... I do not have a ST-E3-RT so I had to do so because of a couple of 600EX-RTs.

BUT... I used one on the camera of the RT-600EX as the master.  Then, I used a 2nd 600EX-RT as a slave and used the trigger on the slave.

The slave said the captain to the fire, the master then tells the camera to take the picture and all plays as if I had used the shutter of the camera the camera makes all the stuff of E - TTL II (count & pre flash metering, power levels of all on the strobes and then takes the hit).  The two flashes of fire.

If its allure for me than the distant light can do the same thing by pressing the shutter button on the camera.

The camera will usually need to focus before in this case, so I have previously focused on the 5 d III and then put the lens in manual focus mode so that the focus would not be a problem.

BTW, in the case where any who which _not_ own a 5 D III (or a camera made in 2012 or after) reads this... it will not work with any Canon camera.  The new cameras has the ability to communicate with these new radio-triggered flashes through the hot-shote.  I have a 5 d II, for example and it will work _not_ via the hoof on a 5 d II, but Canon made an accessory cable.  The flashes 600EX-RT actually have a record on them which connects to the output port wired remote shutter release on the older cameras camera body.  I tested the ability of remote shooting with my 5 d II (using the cable) and it works.

  • Is there a a way to animate the characters while using an existing audio track?

I tend to do a lot of different voices, maybe 3 or 4 - for characters in a scene. So I want to save all audio on the logic, then export the voice of the one character at a time and use character animation to animate the puppets.

For example, X, Y and Z are in conversation, I save all 3 parts, edit the audio isn't airtight and usable and export then take of an individual character.

I take this audio track in animation character somehow and then get Ch to animate the mouth based on the audio and then go through a scene by adding movements of the puppets as triggers, flashing the webcam etc.

Can I do this? I can't get my tiny mind around it. Help me, Adobe. You're my only hope

I would like to know how to do this also. The only thing I can think of right now is to play the audio on the speakers and hope that Ch didn't pick up any other noise with her (difficult in my office, where construction is happening nearby)

EDIT: I thought that this it is quite simple:

    1. Encode your audio files like WAV (works better if there is nothing else than the voiceover on the track)
    2. Import it in Ch
    3. Drop the audio track on your timeline
    4. Select your puppet
    5. Select 'Compute Lip Sync of Audio scene' in the menu object.
    6. Let him calculate, and you're done!

    NEW EDITION:

Once he did the math, you can activate the face capture and record movements while listening to the sound. It will not animate the lip-sync while you record, but he will be reading later.

  • Why FF uses the '\n' in the textarea tag line endings, but when the data sent to the server it uses "\r\n" thin line?

I type a text in a text box and using a jQuery expression:
    "$('textarea:first').val (.replace(/\r/g,_'R').replace) (/ \n/g, 'n')'"
It shows that FF use the endings '\n' and once the form is submitted the endings of line "\n" is replaced by "\r\n" fine line

The problem is length of incorrect text for the text of the line multi - on the browser side, it is less due to '\n' line thin and server side, it is more long term "\r\n" purposes of line and triggers a certain inconsistency to the validation of a length text between browser and server.

  • Coding for static form

    fill out questionnaire?

I've created in Flash CS4 (AS3) of static type form for a Web site that I pursue. The questionnaire is used to determine if a person is sensitive to the abuse of drugs and alcohol with a postive (not likely to develop substance abuse) response or a negative response (likely to develop substance abuse)

He has answered six questions on the form, which MUST be either Yes or no.

I created the form with all the buttons and art and it is ready to apply to Dreamweaver but necessary to writing scripts for doing work.

    The six buttons YES receive cb1 instance names, cb3, cb7, cb9 and cb5, cb11

The six NO button receive names of instance of cb2, cb4, cb6, cb8 cb10

    and cb12.

When the responses of participants all six questions or whether they will hit a Submit button (with an instance name of submit) who will lead them to a new page web/flash with the appropriate response.

If the participant meets TWO or more questions with YES and submit a success, they will go to a new page/doc in the website of the negative response.

If the contestant answers ONE YES and click on submit that they will be directed to a new page/doc in the Web site with a positive response.

If the participant meets all THE numbers and click on submit that they will be directed to a new page/doc in the site with the same positive response that answer with a YES of answer.
