  There is no way outside of disassembly of the iPhone to see what kind of CPU, there is a, nor is it important. Both processors are made to the exact same specifications and perform exactly the same.

  If the application is able to send and receive UDP traffic in the BlackBerry Simulator, but not on a BlackBerry real pocket computer the first thing to check is to check that your carrier supports.  Several carriers do not support UDP traffic or restrict to specific ports or data types.  This can cause exceptions or make it appear that the application will silently fail (carrier is just dropping packets).

  You cannot send mailing lists.

  You can export the content of a mailing list in a file and send the file to someone else. They should use the contact information in the file to import it into their address book, and then create a mailing list.

  The export command is under tools in the address book window. Find out what kind of file, customer email receivers can work with and send them this type of file.

I'm developing on the blackberry platform. I can't seem to find my way around that at this moment and I tried looking for examples of code and stuff online but have not progressed. All I get is products sold by companies finished. I also tried to use the geofence api, but just warns you when user object leaves a specified scope. So I was hoping someone here could help with that.

  Just try to scope a project.

  We would like to get live video output of the first to use in another application.

  The idea is to use a stream of first as a texture for a map navigable 3d model.

  It's to do the job of previs 3d really difficult.

  We have an existing version of the app to previs 3d that does the same thing with quicktime movies imported.

  But our coder has not used the SDK before first.

  You wonder if we can use Transmit somehow... to treat our app as an external monitor.

  Guidance on how to move this topic... or better still... y at - there anyone out there that could be in place to help us on this project (small budget but paid)?

  Hi Marcus,

  Yes, the sounds of mercury pass API as way forward for you.  I would recommend from the sample project "transmitter".  Build in the folder plugins Organization (as described in the documentation, SDK Guide.pdf, Chapter 1, 'How to build the SDK projects').  Your developer can set breakpoints in the code of example of transmission and launch a debugging session with the Organization, to observe how transmit plug-ins are called, and what information they passed.  Looks like you will not be working with audio, so you can just disable that in the sample.  Chapter 9 of the SDK Guide has much more information on the concepts in the API issue.

• SMU-8431/8 RS-422 serial card sends the wrong number of bits

  I use a card series SMU-8431/8 RS-422 configuration for talking to a camera that has the speed of transmission parameters following 38400, 7 data bits, 1 stop bit, odd parity. I confirmed that the device certainly has these settings I can communicate with him using a separate Linux PC.

  When I try to use the serial port of EITHER the device does not react. Then, I connected the serial port OR on my Linux PC to see which sent the port NO. It is garbage. Nonprinting characters, control commands and the other characters are converted (for example I send the ascii character '1' and get the ascii character 'a').

  I made sure to add the terminating resistor 120 ohm NI RX + RX-lines and as mentioned in other posts on these forums, but it is only for the reception and did not solve the problem.

  I put a scope on the TX + and TX-lines from the map OR track seems reasonable that sent bits is correctly 38400 and voltage levels are correct moving between +/-3V. What I've noticed, is that the map series, NEITHER seems to be send to the 11 data bits. I expect 10-bit (1 start bit, 7 data, 1 parity, and 1 stop). I changed to 8 and then 6 bits of data and the total number sent passes to 12, then 10, respectively.

  I get the same behavior if I use Labview screws, Panel VISA for the port of MAX, or to remove the software NOR entirely and use Hyperterminal. This would seem to indicate that the problem is something in the settings of low level on the card itself.

  I tried a second SMU-8431/8 card and the same results, this isn't a fault map (may be two defective cards, I guess!).

  Any ideas?

  Discovered it was: used a scope to view the track both the Linux PC and the serial port OR to compare. The trace OR was significantly longer than the Linux. When I measured the width of the track OR whole, it worked to have a frequency of about 33 000, or much less that the 38400 assigned him. I was getting the wrong characters every bit of data from the port because NEITHER was out of sync with the Linux PC.

  I increased the port baud rate NOR and found that setting in 45 000 made it align correctly the Linux PC and I now the communication between the two devices.

  For the record, I don't have the terminating resistor 120 ohm or the anchor line to be included in the cable series between ports OR and Linux.

  I use NEITHER-6071E and try to generate and send a TTL signal so I can synchronize another device with my Labview code. My code (code attached) generates a sine wave, and I want to send a singal TTL out at an angle of phase on the sine wave. Currently, the code sends a sinusoidal signal and a square using similar wave output on BNC Plug. I thought I could just use a square wave, and send it out as analog output for the other device, but apprantly that he works with a TTL signal.

  Could you please take a look at my code and advice me how to generate a TTL signal while being able to send it to some phase shift?

  usually in a home network the IP address is assigned automatically by the router to each device network from a range of ip addresses. Your problem may occur if you set a static IP address to a network device and it is in the range of addresses used by the router.

  For example on my router, it begins to assign addresses to 192.168.2.2. then the following it would assign would be 192.168.2.3, then 192.168.2.4 and so on and so forth until it reached 192.168.2.100.  After that, it will start again.  You have all the devices to which you have assigned a static IP address on your network, if so you will need to assign outside the range the router is using.  With the help of my linksys router for example 192.168.2.101 or higher.  If you don't assign a static IP address to your all your networked devices, just restart the pc and the router should solve it easily.

  I tried to check my mail and could not and got this message "another device on the network use the IP address of your computer." I have never seen it before. He also said that I could change the IP address, if I continued to have problems. I bought this iMac and used Migration to transfer all the stuff from my old iMac that is still used. That was months ago, but I never had this message up to now. So should I change one of the IP addresses? And if so, how is that done?

  I would like a number in an empty cell that will be then multiplied by a constant number of another cell, but the result should be returned in the original empty cell.  For example, I have a cell (B3), which has a constant number (12).  In B4, I take any number (for this example, we will use 3) which will be then multiplied by the number in B3.  The result: 36 (12 X 3) will be shown in B4.  If I enter the number 5 it returns a value of 60 (12 x 5).  I do not have the numbers in parentheses, they are there as to understand my problem.

  You can't have a manually entered value and an equation in the same cell. So what you're asking can be in any spreadsheet. Generally, we put the new value in the next column and work from there.

  If you want to make a second sheet, you may have a spreadsheet, then a print sheet / display. Where you enter your values in the journal entry or table and the results show on the other hand you like.

  the last alternative is a script to move data around you, but it's really overkill.
