What you're missing is the codecs for your videos are in the file format.

Try the VLC media player. It will easily play most file formats.

  • Using ThinkPad XP, cannot send files from mobile phone to the computer via Bluetooth

    Dear Sir, Miss

I am using my computer (ThinkPad, Windows XP for the sounds played in my cell phone and sent via bluetooth to the computer. Apparently the functions of connection and the computer receives something from cell phone (the "Bluetooth connection status" window indicates that millions of bytes are received by the computer.
However, I cannot hear anything in the computer and I don't see anyway to influence the volume or audio properties for direct information received by bluetooth to the speakers.

Can someone explain what I would do to this topic?

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hi JacNasy,

    ·         Other sounds work well?

Check to see if the following is useful.

Method 1: Log the computer manufacturer's website and check to see if there is an update audio drivers. If so, download and then install to check the issue.

Method 2: Try to set up the Bluetooth connection again and see if it helps.

  • videos transferred from mobile phone to the computer, have video but no sound

I transferred the videos on my mobile phone to my computer via my CD san, I have great videos but absolutely no noise... and yet I have all other sounds on my computer and videos work very well on my cell phone...

    Hello

Welcome to the community forums of Microsoft and thanks for posting the question.

    1. What is the file format of the files that you transferred?

2 have you ever try to play videos on a different drive?

3 you meet problems during playback of video files in Windows Media Player?

    4. do you have the codecs installed on the computer?

A codec is a software to compress or decompress a digital media file, such as a song or a video. Windows Media Player and other programs use codecs to play and create digital media files.

A codec can consist of two components: an encoder and a decoder. The encoder performs the compression function (coding) and the decoder performs the decompression function (decoding).

Some codecs include both components and some codecs only one of them.

For example, when you rip a song from an audio CD on your computer, the player uses the default Windows Media Audio codec to compress the song into a compact WMA file. When you play that WMA file (or any WMA file that may be broadcast from a Web site), the player uses the codec Windows Media Audio to decompress the file for music can be played through your speakers.

More Codec please visit the following link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/codecs-frequently-asked-questions

You can search your favorite engine and download and install the codec that is compatible with the operating system.

  • No sound on the videos uploaded from a mobile phone to the computer

I saved several short videos on my memory card on my mobile phone.  When I imported the files on my computer, the video is perfectly, but there is no sound.  I can't find a way to get the proper functioning.  Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    Ali.

    Hi Ali,

The file you are trying to play may not be supported in Windows Media Player.

You will have to perhaps download and install the codecs that support the file type for Windows Media Player.

  • does anyone know how to transfer/copy music from a mobile phone to a computer

does anyone know how to transfer/copy music from a mobile phone to a computer

That is controlled by PC-phone connection software provided by the manufacturer of the phone.  If the phone is compatible with windows 7, they will provide pilots & an application to allow transfers that you want.

If this software is not supplied with your phone then go to the support site for the manufacturer of the phone to know if everything is available.

  • How to transfer pictures from the phone to the computer via a USB cable?

I just bought a Tundra VA76r and universal mini-USB cable at a local store AT & T. I downloaded the "v3.9.0 USB driver for Windows 32-bit" on the Motorola support site, I have Windows XP SP2 on my desktop Dell. The driver is described as follows:

This USB driver is used for connecting your Mobile from Motorola phone to a Windows® computer via a USB cable to charge your phone or to access the data on your phone. This USB driver supports most Motorola OS, Linux OS, Motorola, Motorola iDEN, Motorola Symbian/UIQ, Motorola Windows Mobile® and i-mode of Motorola phones.

I installed the driver and the load function works. My phone USB connection type is MODEM. However, I am not able to "access the data on my phone" as promised in the description of the driver. The phone is not recognized in Windows Explorer. All I want to do is to transfer pictures from the phone to my computer. The price for Motorola Phone Tools ($50) seem expensive for such a simple task. An adapter for my desktop computer bluetooth is also in this price range. The tundra is incompatible with the feature of this driver? I'm doing something wrong with the installation of the phone? Please help me to get the driver to work... Thank you

Best way to do this is to configure your phone USB setting of "memory card".  Go to Menu-settings-connections-settings USB online online online, select the memory card.

Once this is done, connect the phone to the computer, phone will be recognized as a removable disk. Go to my computer.  Under devices you'll see removable drive F or G depending on your drives (can show two if you have a card as well.  Memory card is usually the drive at the top of the page.  The phone memory is lower by car).

Click on the drive (IE. F, mobile - if memory card).  Here you will see audio, music, photo, etc.  Once here, you can get, drag and drop a file on your computer.  Make sure that you create one or more folders for your files on your computer.

The same also applies if the transfer of files from your computer to your phone.

I find that this method is better than to sync the phone.

I hope it will work for you.  Let me know if it doesn't.

  • How to make/receive the phone call from a laptop connected to the smartphone via bluetooth?

    Dear community of Microsoft,

I have a smartphone (Samsung SCH-I759) which I want to connect to a laptop running Windows 7 Professional, then I could make/receive the phone call on the cell phone.

After browse around, I saw several methods to do are pretty simple. Activate bluetooth on both devices connect, match and set - the bluetooth device menu.

When I followed these instructions, I was able to pair the devices but the ability to use the bluetooth connected as a phone smartphone does not appear. Instead, I have less accessible services in the menu. Here is the screenshot:

For those who have been successfully pair and use their laptops as phone, would you care to share the how-to?

    Thank you

    NALA Jati

It depends on the abilities programmed into your phone. Your photo, I can say that is not possible on your phone, then you will not be able to do.

If you want to make/receive calls on your computer, you could try to use Skype or Google Voice.

I have a couple of steps that should help you to solve the problem.

    Try these steps and check:

    a. do not connect the USB cable first.
    b. go to settings / wireless & network/usb/connection and tap the icon of the samsung Galaxy phone.
    c. it prompts you to connect the cable. It's when you plug the cable and then another icon on the screen.
    d. If it does not, try to connect to a different USB port.

In addition, you can contact Samsung for help.

You must have Dell Dock for your computer works correctly.  It's just a convenience tool that Dell put on their computers.  If you want a working version, you can download here

    http://www.delldock.com/ .

Don't forget there is no other things that got corrupt however.  Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.
