  Managing photos in windows live mail gives me grief. Can't resize so that I have a reasonable file size to send. Just switched to Outlook after the purchase of a new computer and colleagues, we arrived to copy our drive hard is not compatible microsoft so we advised not buying prospects. It was not an easy transition, and I would like some advice/help for photo management. Telephone support is not available... hmmm maybe our computer guy has a point that I would have been able to access the tech support if I had Outlook.

  I was at my e-mail provider Cox Communications, in Rhode Island and they checked everything is right at their end. I searched the internet and these forums for HOURS trying to find a solution to this problem. I can send and receive emails from my Verizon email account, but my main account that I use most of the time, I can't SEND email and I get this error:

  Server response: 550 5.1.0 required authentication.

  On the servers tab, check the last box. My outgoing server requires authentication.

  Disable the email analysis in your Avast anti-virus - disable mail shield. It does not add any additional protection if you don't by attention elsewhere, and can cause problems.
