  Just a quick and I'm sure that the answer is a resounding no, but wanted to check I'm someone give the right info.

  Basically, someone I know has a site for a company and had a falling out with his partner, who threatens to take down the site.

  Then the other guy wants to make a copy of the site to a new domain that he has a master's degree.

  So the question is will be the new site / domain keep / inherit all rankings SEO of the site existing under it is the same exact content?

  As I said, I would be sure that the answer is no.

  It would be only if the domain name is the same. Who has control of the domain name? That's who is listed as the owner of the domain for the domain name?

• Muse site SEO questions

  Hi everyone, I'm relatively new to Muse and Web sites in general and have created my own website for my design company using the Muse and the publication through BC via the 5 free hosting accounts I have with my subscription to the CC. I recently put emphasis on SEO that my site has not been appearing on search engines and have covered all keywords for links and more but I didn't see no progress.

  Accordingly, I visited some of the tools free SEO analysis offers the web to see if I could know where the main problem lies (nibbler.com and others) and it seems that no changes/updates I post on my site are being recognized by such search engines that it is advise to my site has not been updated since September 2015 (he wasn't even then live?) what I documented will deter the search engines to improve the ranking of my site.

  The other problem I have is that my site is not registered on the site Alexa? which I believe should happen automatically at a point which is also my site back.

  Is this something to do with the Muse / and or British Colombia and the way I created the site?, as I said, I'm relatively new to Muse and web stuff in general, so everything is a learning curve for the moment.

  If anyone has any advice or advice, it would be a great help.

• Saved catalog - where are my pictures?

  I back up my Lightroom 5 in many ways catalog.  I'm on a Mac and keep my catalog on a disk, external supporting up to two other external drives.  One of my backup methods must simply drag and drop the 5 Lightroom catalog file to another external drive.  This seems to put everything in this file, including the .lrcat file and all the image files, with her.

  However, if I open Lightroom since the backup drive by clicking on the Lightroom Catalog.lrcat 5 file, and the unit containing my initial catalog is off, thumbnails that appear for most of my images in grid mode are empty.  Most of the metadata are there, but the question of the size of the file read "file not found".  This is true even for those images that appear in their thumbnails.  On the other hand, if the unit containing my original catalog is enabled, all the thumbnails have images and metadata is no longer say "file not found".

  I'm assuming it is a kind of SEO question, with Lightroom, look for the original images, even if I'm opening since the backup disk and the backup drive contains its own copies of image files.

  Bottom line is that I'm not sure, now that the copy of my folder Lightroom 5 entire catalog by slip and fall on a different drive is a good backup procedure.  (I also use Time Machine to back up to another external drive.)  If I lose my main drive that contains my original catalog, I'll be able to get my backup to search for on the backup disk image files?  If so, how do I do that?

  Referring to the 'catalogue' in Lightroom, we usually talk the Lightroom Catalog, which is a database. It keeps track of the whereabouts of the images on your computer, changes that are made to these images. In my opinion, it's a good idea to always leave your Lightroom backup catalog files to point to the original images you are working on using Lightroom. Otherwise, you can have several different versions of the same image. The idea of the image backup is to have something to fall back on in case of a disk crash or the computer.

  If you really want to redirect Lightroom to backup images, then it would be a good idea if all of your images have been in a folder structure that puts all your image files in a master file of the image. Then, in the backup catalog, you could do a right-click on the master file and choose the option "update folder location" and you would be able to point of Lightroom to backup files. As a result on the issue of the image of the master, it will update the location of all subfolders and images. But as I have indicated, I think that it is better to let Lightroom catalogs backup pointing to the images in their original location. Otherwise, if it becomes necessary to use a backup catalog due to the corruption of catalogue, the backup catalog will demonstrate for backup images that may not have all of the settings.

  Some examples might help to explain a little better. Suppose first that you encounter a corrupted catalog. All that is necessary is for you to replace the catalog corrupted with your most recent backup. If the catalog is still pointing to the original images, then you can simply resume your work. Of course you have lost all the changes have been made since this backup was created. So let as an indication of how many times you decide you want to back up your catalog.

  Now, let's say that your catalog is not serious, but your pictures are on a disk hard breaks down. Then everything you need to do is point the catalog for images backup and all adjustments in the catalog will be applied and the work can continue without interruption. You can copy these backup images on a new hard drive for work. If the hard drive has the same letter drive or name as he did previously you will continue just work. • Adobe Muse - questions SEO my site decommissioning

  Dear all

  I undertook a lot of SEO work with my own site Adobe Muse (before I start working on my clients sites later this week).

  All the scanners, webmasters etc. include the following:

  • Page - requests demand more HTTP s your site Internet, it becomes the slowest. Combine files to minimize the number of requests. How can you do that in Muse?
  • Compression - resources Compress JavaScript and CSS when possible to help your site to run faster... How is it possible in Muse?

  I don't see any problem. It's just generic stuff. None of this has nothing to do with the Muse se, in any case. Things like compression are part of the configuration of the server and refer to use of HTTP stream compressed, not packed files. Similarly, the number of page requests depends on how the server handles the workload. Of course Muse split different files for each page and create redundant duplicates is in cause, but none that makes the world come to an end, and it can always be optimized. Deferring scripts depends on their specific requirements, here again, it's a generic general statement, with little practical value. The rest, that nobody can answer without seeing things. Suffice it to say that the embedded content does not work is not really useful.

  You can not. A stream is just another URL, and once known, people and search engines may do with it what they want.

• SEO - error page custom IIS and rewrite Url CF question

  I have a strange question for a familiar person to SEO.
  
  Here's what I did. I have a Web site configuration that has only a single physical page, index.cfm. All links on this site are set up to be SEO friendly. Something like: domainname.com/my-coldfusion-question. I set up a custom 404 error page in IIS to include a coldfusion page called masterRewrite. When the page is called, it analyzes the url, queries the database and built a page that refers to the browser. So, basically ANY link that you can go on the site always returns a page with the content and the browser is never a "Page not found" error
  
  So here's my question: when google spiders my page t - he never knew that a 404 error? I've tested a bit myself using cfhttp to go to a page that does not exist on the site and looked at the headers. The returned response header shows identical to a page that actually exists. StatusCode is "200 OK." So my question is, Google sees this even as a page that actually does not exist? Initially I thought that he made, but have noticed my page rank is 0/10 and I was wondering if, somehow, Google knows the difference despite the fact that the statuscode indicates that 200.

  If the status code is 200, then Google does not know what a 404 error. I think that they officially frown on this technique. What Google is a page they know there is no query, and it they don't get a 404 error they might punish your ranking. They also punish your rankings to have pages that are very similar to the content in the different URLS. I have a question the validity of the use of the metric rankings as a measure of the success page.

  Hi again, I will have a little problem that I can't put my finger on, I hope someone here can spot him more easily than I can. I've recently scanned my index.html with my SEO scanner to go down a checklist and see how I could improve my score of websites on search engines, and a thing that he continues to tell me is this.

  The problem is that I looked in my source code for many times and I don't see that 22 img tags, which have all of the alt tags are related, the 23 img tag does not exist from what I see.

• Question about SEO in DW

  I hope I've put this in the right forum and I hope that someone can offer some advice.  I am re-construction of the client's Web site and that they already use Google Analytics (GA).  The customer wants to get as many visits to his site as possible as I was.

  One thing he did if that makes me wonder if it is really necessary to do so.  I suggested on its service coverage page (the page that says: "we provide services to Arlington and Loudoun counties of Fairfax in Virginia;") (Montgomery, Carroll and Frederick Maryland counties"and so on) that it should be a good page to allow search engines pick up these services so that when someone searches for, say, 'widget services fairfax County' he should get a good ranking in the search results.

  The customer, however, wants to do something completely different:

  He obviously has a "home" page on its site (index.html)

  But in addition to this homepage, he is also sitting on its server following duplicates from its home page:

  frederick_county_index.html

  fairfax_county_index.html

  virginia_index.html

  maryland_county_index.html

  .. and so on.  Each of these pages, the content is pretty much a copy of the home page, but in the body of the content that he wants to have a sentence like: "welcome... We provide services in [depending on the county or State matches the page title]."

  None of these pages are re - runs so they bit much just to stay there.

  I made sites now for about 12 years, and I've done SEO with GA for about 5 years.  I'm not an expert but in all honesty, I just never heard of it.  However, maybe this is something that many other companies do too much to get search results.  I don't know so that what I'm asking here - is it a good idea?  It will substantially increase its search results?  Is my simplest way described above a good way?  Can how be improved?

  Just a word of warning, if you use graphics for your links, make sure that you also have the wording of the link as in

  I think my problem is to do with referring to the scene, but not sure.  When I try

  because you are trying to reference the stage before before your item is added to the display list.  to remedy this, use the addedtostage event before trying to make reference to the scene.

• Flash SEO optimization question

  I developed a site entirely in Flash MX 2004, with the plan to manage the people that I would be network with at the my web site by word of mouth. Since then, I decided it would be wise to optimize my site so that people could find by google, the search as well, so I see two roads to go: 1) develop a recipricol with dreamweaver site using html and create a referral page that people can choose to enter in the full flash site or the normal non flash version. (2) somehow optimize my site flash by means I have yet to discover.
  
  I see clear benefits to the options and inclination towards the concept of dual site, but anything you can let me know my options would be greatly appreciated!

  You can register your site with Google and they you will have to create a site map, upload to your server so it is parsed more easy... you can also integrate your site using SWFObject, that will help... In addition, use the right metatags and keywords...
