  IM developing an application for the acquisition of data where timed loop synchronization source comes from my PFI2 (using the string A of an encoder).  IM basically trying to acquire data based on the number of ticks from my encoder.  For the synchronization source, I use counter 1 to capture the rising edge and have the loop time-acquisition of data.  At the same time, Im using the counter 0 to count the number of rising edges so I know exactly in what tick data was acquired.  PFI0 and PFI2 are connect to channel A of the encoder.

  Questions:

  Timed loop acquires data at each tick, because when I discover the data (text) file is missing count of my encoder value.  Is it because there is a limitation on the Windows operating system?  I used a noculars to measure the frequency at the maximum rotation of the channel encoder and 6,757 kHz.  All solutions?

  Also, is there anyway I can route the source channel internally an encoder to generate synchronization source instead of using another counter?  I have attached my VI.

  All the samples that you acquire will be read by LabVIEW in a sequential manner. Figure 4-21 on the M-series on page 80 (4-34) shows that you will acquire all the samples you request all channels that you enjoy in sequentially.

  I am not new to Labview or cRIO programming, however, venture in for my first try at the serial communication.  I have a controller (not original NOR) that sends data over a serial RS232 network I want to open a parallel session to the data that I collect with a cRIO.  Before we get to integrate, I try to test with a series, my computer cable and hyperterminal communications and the serial port cRIO.  I followed and validated exploitation and drivers with the following text:

• Reset a loop counter and restart the calculation

  I have a while loop nested inside a loop for the calculation of a model.

  Lets say that I am on the loop for counter 4. Suppose that I wanted to keep track of the number of iterations on a while loop, and if it exceeded a certain 100, exit say number the while loop.  I do this to avoid my model of computation being blocked somewhere due to optimization problems. Now, I want to restart the loop counter calculations 4.

  Is there a way to do this in labview?

  Well first of all, if you want to start the same program inside loop after it got stuck is going not only to get stuck again creating a permanent loop in the code? Would you not just to go and have some sort of identifier as one of the loops is stuck?

  But I recommend just nesting your while loop inside an another while loop, and then connect the output to the out-while loop to a variable of the while loop inside, so if optimisation did not appear correctly then it simply repeats the inner while loop.

  

  Although I am of my thoughts that you will end up just straight up in a loop permanent if optimization fails the first time.

• PXI-6259 - Syncronize AO and

  Good afternoon friends,

  I'm looking to synchronize a finishes analog output signal with a digital output signal end of same length (number of samples).   Ideally, the signals should be identical except for the amplitude... 5V for life.   I guess that this will require a trigger to start shared?   Any who have an example or knows where I can find an example of synchronized finished AO and?   My hardware is a PXI-6259.

  Hello Super!

  Thanks for your post! One of the ways that I would like to synchronize your AO is to use the timing engine AO as your sample for both clock. In this way, you know that you are using the same sample that is generated on board the 6259 clock. Just be sure to start your task before your AO so that when when the AO starts and generates the sample clock the task sees the first front. Essentially you will be triggering the DO with the task of the AO. Take a look at the screenshot of the block diagram that I made that does exactly this. I checked with another DAQ card to ensure synchronization. Let us know if this helps and and take a look at this area of developer who talks about sync multifunction.

  The short answer is: there is no difference, unless you use count (1), count (2), etc. instead of count (*) it makes you look like an amateur.

  I've read about the binding of the two drop-down lists when you select something in the first box and then it adjusts the options in the second drop-down list box.  I love those who can use in the future.  I have a question a little.

  Can I have two lists that both selections control what fields appear below drop-down list?  For the examples list 1 to A, B and C list 2 has red, Orange and yellow.  I'll choose different combinations of the two and have different things to be displayed.  At Red and has fields 1, 2 and 3 show.  B and yellow display 1 and 3 and so on.

  Is this even possible or do I need to create different combinations all in one field and script the different responses that, I think I know how to do?

  The problem is that you are hiding the subform, BUT you try to assign to the presence of individual boxes in the subform visible. It won't work, because the subform itself is set to hidden.

  Look at the boxes to check and see if you can group them in series that are always hidden or visible. Then script against subforms and NOT the boxes. If you can not group the boxes then you will just have to refer to them individually.

  Hello. It seems to be hung trying to complete the installation. You can try to remove and reinstall. To remove it, go to settings > general > storage > storage management. Expect that the apps fill, then on the Pages. You will see the used storage and a delete option. It allows to remove the existing copy.
