Setting of the report regarding

Hi all
I have a report when it is run in the local system, then it will give the output in 5 minutes and if it is run from the remote location by using the VPN connection, then the time up to 20 minutes.
Can u suggest me a way where in I can reduce the time. The increased time gap is cos there the client components such as local procedures, it will take time for the transfer of data and the manipulation of data between the server and the client. Pls correct me if I'm wrong.
The other question I have met, it was there is a local procedure in the report which is using Group by clause as
For Rec (select Sum (Total) sum1 Tab1 group by AccountCd)
Loop
If Rec.Sum1 < 0 Then
V_TotalAmount: = NVL (V_TotalAmount, 0) + Rec.Sum1;
End If;
End;

I changed

Select Sum (Sum (Total)) sum1
In V_TotalAmount
Of Tab1
AccountCd group
Having Sum (Total) < 0;

One of the two above which the best approach. Thanks for giving me a brief explanation also.

Kind regards
Alok Dubey

Hello

If SQL gives you an answer, I wouldn't use PL/SQL. Then use the second statement (which should be faster, especially when run from the customer side; sounds, that your use of reports in Client/Server Mode)
Try to make the logic of the server. Thus, for example, replace columns formulas with stored functions and call them from the query.

  • How to set the path of the report in a plugin for model

    I'm trying to figure out how to set the path of the report in a plugin process model. I can't find a way to have access to it. It seems this would be a reasonable thing to do since the plug-ins are for the treatment of the results. Does anyone know how to do this? We generally use the sequential process model, but I try to keep my plug-in as independent as possible.

    Thank you.

    If I understand correctly, you want your plug-in, when enabled, change the settings of all other instances of the report OR plugin as their reports share the same directory that your plug-in is configured to use.

    If so, your plug-in can access and change the settings of all other instances of plugin. All instances are passed to all the points of plugin entries in the subproperty of the plugins of the ModelConfiguration parameter table. You can browse this table. Any element of the array with an equal to "NI_ReportGenerator.seq" Base.SequenceFilename is an instance of the report OR plugin. Its report options are stored in the element under PluginSpecific.Options.

    You can change the report options to what you want. Note that the recall of the ReportOptions model is called from template-plugin Initialize entry point, then you might want to ensure that your changes are applied after that, so they are not replaced. To do this, you could make your changes in the Initialize entry point of your plugin and make sure your plugin runs last. To rotate the last, you can set the FileGlobals.ModelPluginComponentDescription.Default.Base.RunOrder in your file of plug-in with a value greater than 0, for example 1.0 (see Help for TestStand > Fundamentals > process template Architecture > plug-in for the model process Architecture > Structure of the plugin sequence files > plugin model of entry Points > Order Execution of Point of entry at run time).

  • How can I set the margins of the report?

    Hello

    I try to print a portrait of a JPEG image that was created by a façade by program.

    I print it out by creating a Standard report.

    While the JPEG image is very good, the printed image is compressed on the long edge. So the printed image is a bit distorted.

    I change the property of printing: margins of the vi to the First Call of vi, but the result is the same.

    However, if I open the JPEG image with software such as Picasa and print it, the print image is not compressed or distorted.

    I am attaching a picture of the code that is used to print a picture that shows the property print and JPEG format: margins.

    How can I print it correctly via LabVIEW?

    Hi nikosfs,

    So I took a quick glance to your question a little more, and unfortunately I have not found a solution that meets all your needs. I was able to improve the appearance and the size of the HTML report by changing the entries in registry key for Internet Explorer print settings. You must do this because the HTML report printing settings refer to these registry keys rather than the margin you settings set in LabVIEW. I went ahead and linked to the Microsoft support article below. These registry keys will not only allow you to change the default margins, but they will allow you to remove the header and footer. However, I wasn't able to get the HTML report to print to the pdf printer I had installed as you mentioned. Another method, that you can use to print the image on the front is through the nodes property of the Report.VI reference and invoke. The property for this VI reference node to set the print margin and the parameters of the header. Then, you can use the invoke node to print it. However, once more, using this method I was not able to print successfully in a pdf file either. It seems, therefore, that if you want to print to PDF with precision, the ideal solution would be to use a Word report type since the standard report has the bug I mentioned earlier. You can monitor the status of this bug using the CAR # 49253. I would like to know if you have any other questions, I apologize that we were not able to find an ideal solution for your needs.

  • setting report parameters fails for the report that runs the stored procedure in QMR FDM 2.1.1

    Hello

    Can someone help us please on this issue we have; If a solution is already available somewhere on the forum please link me to it.

    Please see our situation;

    The script below was part of the customization of a colleague to a script of Oracle FDM ("AftFileImport").

    There are no screenshots at this stage that came back to us with a temporary workaround.

    More detailed description:

    We built a custom report of FDM ("FSBValidationErrorsforAllLocations") that accepts two parameters (CatKey, period) and which calls a procedure stored in SQL Server with the same two parameters. FDM SQL statement of the report is:

    RUN FSBValidationErrorsforAllLocations ' ~ time ~', ~ Cat Key ~

    It works through the User Interface.

    When you try to put the two settings by customizing the event Oracle 'AftFileImport'script, the report fails. Below the part of the code in the 'AftFileImport', where we tried to fill values:

    • objReport.mParametersClear
    • objReport.mParametersAddNew "CatKey", RES. PstrCat
    • objReport.mParametersAddNew 'Period', RES. PstrPer

    We must understand why the way above to the definition of the parameters does not work with stored procedures, as seems to be the only documented way Oracle of setting parameters.

    Please let me know if that's enough.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

    which is the error when you run the script?

    • objReport.mParametersAddNew "Cat Key", RES. PstrCat

    Try again with the white space as it is how you named your parameter in the report definition, didn t you?

    Also try to use the built like the following examples:

    objRP.mParametersClear
    objRP.mParametersAddNew 'Period', CDate (dtePeriod)
    objRP.mParametersAddNew 'Loc', CLng (lngLocation)
    objRP.mParametersAddNew 'CatKey", CLng (lngCatKey)
    objRP.mParametersAddNew "TargAcct", CStr (strAutoMapAcct)

    Use CSS. Add a style sheet in the header HTML property page:

    th#ALIAS,
    td[headers="ALIAS"] {
      width: 40%;
    }

    where the ALIAS value in the attribute selector matches the required column alias.

    Please note that the specified percentages compared to the width of the report table. Therefore, it may be necessary to also specify widths (100%) for the table of report and its components. Exactly how is based on the report, the region and the page templates and theme used, information that was not provided.

  • How the setting to display in the report?

    Hi all... I have a multi select parameter in a report.

    Generally, we use this statement to initialize the model parameters

    <? param@begin: ParameterName? >

    and to show that we use: <? parameter_name? >

    But it's good for the parameters a unique value
    I have a multi selection setting, I need to show all these values(suppose 3) in the title of the report. (They may not be included in the SQL in a column)
    How to achieve this?

    Thank you very much in advance!

    You can use the same for multiple selection of values also

  • How to set the output of the report to the session variable

    Hello
    Is it possible to output report to the session variable value. If my report returns 1 row and 1 column.

    I have a dashboard command prompt where I select name, but I want to find the ID of the same name.
    This ID I want to move to a Fx column, to achieve this, I created an interim report and I got the code. Now my problem is how do I put this ID in the session variable.

    Please help if anyone knows...

    How to set the session / presentation in the repository variable variable

    Dashboard invites on Month Name but the report on the ID of the month filter:
    Re: Guest dashboard on the name of the month but the report on the necessary month ID filter

    If you have dashboard guest (name), then you can have that one report that is filtered by a name but present card to display or not id but use id in the service. Or two reports as in the solution in the second link above and the second report has id in the function and filter by the id of the first report. You need not define this ID in the session for this example variable.

  • set a path to the report manually by using < clientfiledir >

    Hi all

    I'm pretty new to teststand so please forgive me if this is an easy question.

    BACKGROUND

    I'm running a sequence (TestGroup) that contains several sequences (tests) that work as a new execution. It allows me to produce an individual report for each test (the top-level sequence produces a summary report only).

    QUESTION

    I want each of the reports to be stored in a single folder. I have setup report options to calculate the path of the report by using the following expression "\\Reports\\\\SummaryReport [] []".".

    This works very well for the top level, but that this also applies to the subsequences path is recalculated and is different from that of the upper level.

    CURRENT SOLUTION

    I'm currently moving the report path as a parameter to test sequences, but I find the value of the macro (from the sequence of high level) to build the report path. Can someone tell me how to get this?

    Another solution is for me to take the path of the current report and the name of the file of this band. It's a better solution?

    Any help would be great. Thank you

    G

    Hi Jack,

    I use a whole test sequence (seq) group and a running each of my tests as a new execution. This means that I can apply a different template to each test (which is needed to support the old style of the previous tests developed by my client) and produce a report of individual test for each test. Then I clear the list of results when the report was drafted and replace it with a link to the report for the test (I hope that this reduces the risk of running out of memory on long series of tests).

    Each of my 'tests' is indeed a full sequence.

    I was hoping to use something similar to macros to move the report path to each of my tests (or model for the test), but have not been able to find these values anywhere in the report options window. Ultimately I have to now take the string generated for high level sequence 'group' and make a formatted string and then pass it as a parameter testing (an another headache that had some problems).

    I'm not really a fan of this and think it should be possibel to configure the report options different for each model, that I had to do it manually by hardcoding stuff like path .xsl etc names.

    can someone tellme if it seems like the right approach?

  • Form of questions 12 c, run the report, how to set up uifont.ali 12 c reports?

    I have installed Oracle Forms 12 c:

    There are a few questions (problems) in the configuration after the installation:

    1. I need NLS_LANG value CROATIAN_CROATIA. EE8MSWIN1250. Text and the fields displayed are displayed correctly (all that is displayed from database), but their guests and the menu is displayed incorrectly (wrong characterset).

    2. when the report is started from form, instead of run from port 9002 (report server), it runs from port 9001, so I need to manually change the url to view the report.

    3. I don't know how to define a subset of PDF (in the previous version, just edit uifont.ali and put the subset inside).

    4. how to start Report Builder?

    For me, after you apply this hotfix, pdf subsetting works very well. (Linux x 64 environment).

  • How to set up to call a report .rep file to run the report?

    I know that we can attach a RDF report to a form of report.

    But how to call rep report files? I don't want to fix the reports on Forms.

    My name of reports are dynamically from the database.

    I defined my sourceDir under engine element in the rwserver.conf file

    and place the files of my rep under this directory, restart the report server.

    my forms cannot find the report yet.

    It reports an error:

    * "' FRM-41219: can not find the report: invalid ID." * "

    Published by: frank1018 on 8 April 2013 11:51

    There is no difference in calling a file rdf or rep. A rep file is just the compiled version of the rdf.
    If you call your reports with the extension of rdf in the name of the file (myreport.rdf), you have a problem. Just delete the file extension. Now, it won't matter if the file is a file rdf or rep (as long as they are in sourceDir).

    I don't want to fix the reports on Forms.
    My name of reports are dynamically from the database.

    You don't have to join all reports forms. Simply create a report object, without specifying the name of the file. You can do it programmatically:

    v_report_filename := 'Myreport';
    set_report_object_property ( repid, report_filename, v_report_filename);

  • Presentation set Variable in shape in the title of the report

    I have completed 3 variables presentation via a dashboard command prompt. I also show their values in the subtitle of the report, but I wasn't expecting the following format in the form:

    timestamp ' 2009-10-19 00:00:00 'TIMESTAMP' 2009-10-25 00:00:00 ' in Abilene

    The dates appear in the format 10/19/2009 and 10/25/2009 in the dash prompt, that is how I want formatted in the title. Where is this subtitle from formatting? So I can reformat the drive.

    Hey Bob,

    change the format of your fast date by using for example cast (year (date) as char (4)). Cast (month (date) until (2) tank... in the format that you want to display in your title.)

    I hope this can help you.

  • change the properties of the report axis (together begin and end)

    Hey everybody,

    I am a beginner with DIAdem reports and close to despair that I have yet found any solution.

    I wrote a script, which produces reports of various measures with 9 pages (3 2D-slots each, a total of 27 lots).

    Now, I want to put the beginning and the end of the x-axis of certain specific parcels.

    First question: tiara offers something similar to an Object Explorer (for easy access to the names of the objects drawn in a report)?

    I created two GlobalDims called x_time_begin and x_time_end to set these properties, but I don't know how to access these variables in the report (tried @... @ and @... @ the 'Axis settings' tab).

    These variables change for each measure, so each report has a different set.

    The presentation of the State is responsible from a set of. TDMS files and is not altered in the script.

    How can I find the name of a specific plot in the report can access?

    Is it possible to define the range of the x-axis in a variable at all?

    Best regards

    Nils

    Hi Nils,

    It is possible to set the x-axis of begging and positions in the scripts end (see text below). When you create a report object in the script you can name it anything you want to access later. Otherwise, I think that the default name is the name of the object, of the number (for example the 2D first table is called "2DTable1")

    Dim oMy2DAxisSystem, oMyXScaling
    Report.NewLayout
    Set oMy2DAxisSystem = Report.ActiveSheet.Objects.Add (eReportObject2DAxisSystem, "My2DAxisSystem")
    Set oMyXScaling = oMy2DAxisSystem.XAxis.Scaling
    oMyXScaling.AutoScalingType = eAxisAutoScalingManual
    oMyXScaling.Begin = 0.01
    oMyXScaling.End = 100

    Hope that helps,

    Sadie
