Setup Adobe Application Manager could not initialize

Hello ~

After the upgrade to CS5.5, I know that the application manager is absent and is necessary for the automatic update all the. Application Managger 2.0, I downloaded but it will not be installed. Whenever I try to install and get the error message "Installation failed to intitialize." It's very frustrating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the tip, Sharad. I already tried to change user profile, and has not been the tower.

An update:

So I looked around, on my old Mac and noticed that there are a few folders associated with AMM under Application > utility folder. Copied these 2 files on my new Mac, where I had the problem. As if by magic it worked. That's all, it was just two missing files.

I'm not a programmer, you I think that the people behind this software should improve on this: you or the other installer more tolerance (install missing path which isn't correct), or built in more specific detection system and the message to specific error output to inform user that the devil is not good so we don't waste time to find the cause.

  • Just finished a clean install of Photoshop CS6 on my Mac Book Pro Yosemite and Adobe Application Manager does not and cannot install a new copy of Adobe

Just re-installed a fresh copy of Photoshop CS6 on my Mac Book Pro Yosemite and somehow the Adobe Application Manager does not work and so can't check my copy.  What should I do?

I get a message saying that Adobe Application Manager can be damaged and that I should install a new version of the MAA.  But after downloading a new copy of MAA and makes installation, the program (AAM) will still not installed.  It's like an infinite loop!

    Please, someone help!

    Thank you!

    HI gener7!

I'm sorry but I'm not on creative cloud.  I'm still on CS6 and it was Adobe Application Manager was not working and I could not install the update to this application.  My AAM version is: 8.0.0160

The link you provided was the update I wanted to install but it does not work.  A window will appear during the installation that says:

    We encountered the following problems.

Setup could not initialize.  Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.

and then the link to Adobe Support Advisor that leads to a page "Adobe Support Advisor has been abandoned".

    Thank you!

  • Adobe Application Manager does not display that Acrobat Pro XI is installed when it was

Adobe Application Manager does not appear that Acrobat Pro XI is installed when it was installed by the Adobe Application Manager. I tried clicking on the button in the application manager Adobe who installs the program again and gives a key to launch the installation program. But the next time Adobe Application Manager starts, it said: Acrobat Pro XI is not installed, when it was installed (and working). I am a subscriber of creative cloud on the Mac (MacOS 10.8.3). platform Adobe Applicationa Manager is version 7.0.0.324.

How can I get Adobe Application Manager to show that the program Acrobat Pro XI is installed?

    Thoughts?

    -john

I tried the suggestion Greg_M #1 first - without success. Then tried the suggestion #2 of Arpit - also without success. However, I discovered that the uninstall program running in 'Applications-> Utilities-> Adobe Installers folder' had not removed the file Acrobat Pro XI (he was still in his file in the Applications). Finally, what worked manages the uninstall program that was in the folder ACROBAT PRO (NOT the utililites folder). When I ran the uninstaller program, I had also ticked the box in preferences to delete (not sure if that matters).

All is well now. When I run Adobe Application Manager it says correctly that Acrobat XI is "installed".

Greg and David thanks for your help/suggestions!

  • CC of Adobe Application Manager does not work after update

Last night I avrived home and sat down to work on my Web site and other projects aside after a long day of work.  I opened my application manager, and he informed me that she had an update.  So, naturally, I agreed and was excited to see the new update.  Unfortunately after a few hours of trying to figure out things about why I couldn't access my Muse Adobe and Adobe Application manager after the update I had to abandon.   I was online with technical support on the issue and gave a link to download the application Manager once again (it was my 3rd attempt to do, and the link that was given to me was exceeded).  After finding that this will take more time than I'd hoped asked if the support of teak could help me solve the problem of the Muse.  I was told that I would be transferred to the support of the Muse and has never been after an hour or two.

I'm stuck now still not be able to use the muse (after a few re - installs) and not able to use my application manager.

Currently my backgound Telechareger when I lunch my application manager goes black and the application manager appears and is white with no options to choose and shows nothing.  When I try to use Muse he askes connect me, then gives me an error message asking me to please try again later...

Can anyone help, anyone had this problem before?

  • Adobe Application Manager will not install anything!

I tried to update Photoshop CS5 12.0.4 and Adobe Application Manager (AAM) keeps asking me my system admin password.  Whenever I go there, the window opens again.  I could enter my password, a dozen times, it will not start the updates or installations.

    I tried:

    • stopping and restarting
    • changing my admin password
    • install a non Adobe software (to see if it was a problem of OS X)
    • uninstalling all my software Adobe (same problem trying to install)

I would really like to be able to update my software.  Someone knows what to do?

  • CC Adobe Application Manager does not install / launch

I was getting an error message on my application manager when you try to update. I fixed that on my iMac by uninstalling it and then put it back.

So I tried the same thing on my MacBook, but now it seems to have messed up things. Installation * appeared * to succeed in the sense that the completed progress bar (I tried 3 times) but I have not received any notification at the end and the app is a not run by itself.

Also, I can't find the icon of the application anywhere, and if I look into the applications folder, all I get is this dubious group of files / folders and nothing for the launch (see below)

Does anyone else have this problem?

  • Adobe Application Manager does not update

I've never been able to update Adobe Application Manager. I tried to update as an administrator, but still does not work. I need to remove my hard drive and reinstall? I can't download apps. What is the point of payiang for Adobe CC so I can't access it!

    • OOBE and rename OOBE_old located in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe (64-bit) or C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe (32 bit)
  • Adobe Application Manager does not work

We bought two licenses of the Creative Suite, but only one of them is ok. For the second, when the user accepts the invitation of the administrator and starts the download of the adobe Application Manager, it can only download trial version and not the full version as the first licences

    Refer to this:

    Connect you or activation errors

And of course make sure that used email addresses exactly match.

  • Adobe Application Manager sees not what is installed.

Manager application Adobe does not see what is installed on my computer.  It is said that acrobat XI is "up to date" when in fact it is not yet installed on my computer.  I had to uninstall X when it kept crashing and use IX since last year.  I would like to install XI since I am paying for it, but can't see how to reinstall it from the process manager, y at - it a trick?

    Hi Steven,

Run the cleanup tool to remove all remnants of previous installations and re - install Adobe Application Manager. You can download the tool for cleaning of Acrobat from the link below:

    http://labs.Adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

Make sure you select the right options while using the cleaning tool to uninstall Acrobat 11 only and not previous versions.
