Several subnets in the site to Site VPN

Hi guys,.
I would like to set up a site of tunnel VPN stie with several subnets. I could not find a configuration which is my problem. I hope you can help me with the solution.
You can find my design network attach to this subject.
This is my setup on the ASA:

(1) NAT excemption for network traffic, go to the Site to site VPN.

This configuration is correct to allow both subnets on each side of the VPN tunnel to communicate with each other.

192.168.31.0 subnet cannot communicate with 192.168.10.0
192.168.38.0 subnet cannot communicate with 192.168.15.0

Hello Jay,

I went during the configuration of the two aircraft and noticed a few errors on the configuration of the SAA. Details here:

(1) the access list configured for VPN traffic is named ACL_STSVPN-US, however the address for correspondence configured on the map encryption uses a group of objects name instead:

address for correspondence card crypto 10 CM - STSVPN STSVPN-US

You must change this setting to avoid any problems with the negotiation of traffic:

no matching address card crypto 10 CM-STSVPN STSVPN-US

10 CM-STSVPN crypto card matches the address ACL_STSVPN-US

(2) you also have the same error on the configured vpn filter. However, you could not use the access list ACL_STSVPN-United States for VPN filter since the ASA will filter incoming packets only. In this case the appropriate ACL will be configured for remote network (ROUTER) to local networks (ASA). It will look something like this:

access-list VPN_filter extended permitted ip object-STSVPN-US group LOCAL STSVPN

access-list VPN_filter extended permitted ip object-STSVPN-US group LOCAL STSVPN

Group Policy attributes GrpPolicy-STSVPN-US
VPN-Filter VPN_filter value

Keep in mind that the VPN filter is in the rules that determine whether to allow or deny packets of data tunnelees coming through the device security, based on criteria such as the source, destination, and Protocol address address. If you want to use the IP Protocol, the filter will not make a difference.

(3) group 14 of the PFS is configured on the router crypto map, but not on the SAA. You need to even add it in the card encryption ASA or remove it from the router.

ASA:

Router:

No group14 set pfs

    The addition of a new network to the existing VPN L2L should be a fairly simple process.

    Essentially, you need to add the network of the Crypto present ACL configurations "crypto map" . You also need to configure the NAT0 configuration for it in the appropriate interfaces of the SAA. These configurations are all made on both ends of the VPN L2L connection.

    Looking at your configurations above it would appear that you need to the following configurations

    SITE 1

    • We add the new network at the same time the crypto ACL and ACL NAT0

    access extensive list ip 192.168.77.0 outside_1_cryptomap allow 255.255.255.0 192.168.20.0 255.255.255.0

    access extensive list ip 192.168.77.0 inside_nat0_outbound allow 255.255.255.0 192.168.20.0 255.255.255.0

    SITE 2

  • Help the Site VPN Site PIX 501

    I'm pretty new to PIX firewall, so I hope someone here can help me.

    Can't see anything obviously wrong with the configs. You have these connected back to back on the same subnet, it looks that it even if you have xxx out IP addresses? If so it's maybe a routing problem, in what they send everything to the default gateway of xxx.x.198.137 rather than to the other.

    Try to add a static route to the remote subnet to each PIX that points directly to the peer, so on PIX1 you should have:

    Route outside 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 xxx.x.198.138

    and on PIX2 do:

    Route outside 192.168.254.0 255.255.255.0 xxx.x.198.139

    and see if that makes a difference. Note that you wouldn't encounter this problem when these two PIX is on separate networks and uses the default gateway for all routing decisions.

    If this still fails, run 'debug cryp isa' and ' debug cry ipsec "on the two PIX are trying to build a tunnel again, and then and send us the output.

    Also, make sure your tests that you're rattling to a host behind a PIX to a host behind the other PIX, ping PIX to PIX or host because of PIX that won't test your VPN connection.

    What is the recommended solution to deliver several subnets on a site to site vpn? Each subnet requires its own policy or a policy can be used for one or more subnets if the remote site has several subnets? In addition, if the remote router has only two fastethernet interfaces, it'll work if one of the interfaces of subinterface configuration or router on a stick?

    If you talk about static routing, you can simply add the routes and change the ACL for encrypted as a result traffic.

    If you want to run a dynamic routing. you will then need to IPSEC VTI.  Here is the link

    KServer questions?

    After several weeks on the site of WildTangent Games, I am now unable to connect.  I tried several times to the direction of their support staff with passwords provided by them.  Now they say the problem is most likely an error in KServe (KClient, KStatus).  Also, I have Norton AV and got no where with them.  What is the problem and what can you do about it?  I'm not savvy in computer science.

  • Using the same set processing on several site to site VPN tunnels

    Hi all. I have a rather strange situation about site-to-site VPN tunnel.

    On the one hand, I have a PIX 501 and on the other end an ASA5505 and a tunnel set up between them.

    The problem is that on the side of the PIX, I can't establish a tunnel, but when the traffic starts on the side of the ASA the tunnel established as usual.

    I checked the configurations on both ends and keys, passwords, mirror that LCD seems OK. The only thing that comes to my attention, it's that I have the same set of transformation used for 2 different tunnel on the side of PIX.

    Can I use the same set of transformation on several tunnels or should I set a different transformation for each tunnel? Could be the source of the problem?

    I have a unusual scenario, whereby case I need a tunnel vpn site-to-site between a pix of cisco version 7 and version 8 cisco asa, which have the same subnet ip to each endpoint.  Is it possible to create such a tunnel from site to site or do I change one of the remote endpoints?

    To allow the traffic through the tunnel when having the same at both ends addressing scheme, you should NAT VPN traffic.

    That is to say.

    Site a 10.1.1.0/24 LAN

    Site B LAN 10.1.1.0/24

    The site config:

    I encountered a problem of site to site vpn for ping answered nothing of machines of remote subnet.

    the ipsec tunnel is ok but I can ping the ASA distance inside the interface ip

    Here is my scenario:

    LAN1 - ASA5510 - ASA5505 - LAN2 - ordinateur_distant

    LAN1: 192.168.x.0/24

    LAN2: 172.25.88.0/24

    remote_machine_ip: 172.25.87.30

    LAN1 can ping to ASA5505 inside interface (172.25.88.1)

    but cannot ping ordinateur_distant (172.25.87.30)

    Inside of the interface ASA5505 can ping ordinateur_distant

    LAN2 can ASA5510 ping inside the machines on LAN1 and interface

    Is there something I missed?

    I don't think it's something you really want to do.

    If you PAT the whole subnet to LAN1 ip (192.168.1.0/24) to 172.25.249.1, then LAN2, will not be able to reach the specific host on LAN1, cause now, you represent the LAN1 network, with a single ip address.

    So traffic will become a way from LAN1 can reach LAN2 and get the response of LAN2 through the PAT on 172.25.249.1

    But LAN2, is no longer specific hosts LAN1 ip traffic, since you only have 172.25.249.1, to represent the subnet to LAN1.

    If you still want to PAT the whole subnet to LAN1 (192.168.1.0/24) ip to 172.25.249.1, then you have to do outside the NAT.

    We have two sites, the site has and B. At site A, we have a Web site we want to share with all of site B. Currently, site B can access the site via the VPN site-to site on X 0, which is their LAN. Nothing outside X 0 cannot access or ping to the address.

    We added access rules to allow access from the DMZ to this interface, but again, no ping and no communication at all. The other strange thing is that we see that no trip package for these access rules either.

    It seems that the demilitarized zone is not part of the VPN tunnel.

    Can you confirm that the DMZ subnet is part of local destinations on the site B and a part of the local destinations on site?

  • Site to site VPN - impossible to reach the other side ASA

    Recently, I replaced a Juniper with a Cisco ASA 5505 firewall in a branch. This branch has a VPN site to another seat. Firewall at Headquarters is a Juniper and managed by third parties. I have configured the ASA and replaced Juniper. Everything at the Branch works, and can reach all subnets and servers. As the user is concerned, there is no problem.

    But corporate headquarters, I am unable to reach this ASA on the interface of data or management. See the image, I am unable to ping or join a network 192.168.10.0 and 192.168.200.0 or any other subnet 10.15.8.0 to Headquarters. However, I can ping computers from branch office which is in the same subnet as the data interface.

    You guys could help me as I need to reach the ASA headquarters branch. I welcome all networks on both sides inside and the external interface. I also created a NAT as below. Am I wrong configured NAT

    This information is useful. You try to SSH to the address inside or management? May I suggest that we focus for now on access to inside? After we get this working, we can watch access via the management.

    It does not appear in what you posted, but I'm not sure if it might be something that you have removed before posting. Do you have configured access to the administration? If this is not the case, may I suggest that you add access management inside the config.

    Can someone recommend some inexpensive VPN devices, which will be set up to connect a few VPN site to site (20-30) (each site should not exceed 5 to 10 computers. The sites will be equipped with different VPN devices (like Linksys regular or any other - just able to site IPsec VPN). What I need is for my main site and hope get some suggestions.

    Well, I'd say the firewall Cisco ASA 5500-x and Cisco ISR / ASR, two supported VPN from Site to Site on several sites.

    You can look into those if they meet your criteria.

  • RV180 restrict access to the Site to Site VPN

    Hello

    I'm trying to set up my network so that VPN traffic is routed only to a physical single on the RV180 port or to a certain subset of devices on a network.

    I have a site to site vpn configuration in a Home Office and connect to the corporate network.  The user has a couple of devices on the home network who need to access the corporate network.

    We hope to leave his PC accessible to its home network and the corporate network, but limit other devices to access the vpn.

    I think that I could do playing with the subnet, but I just can't get my head around it.

    It must be something simpleish to do this, isn't there?

    I'd appreciate any help you have.

    Hi boys, here's a hypothetical situation.

    VLAN 1 is port 1

    VLAN 2 is port 2

    VLAN 1 has a switch connected to your local network of services

    VLAN 2 has a switch to maintain your VPN.

    The configuration of the port for each port would be the vlan respective unidentified.

    You can disable the router in order to prohibit intervlan communication. But also, and especially, the vpn is a specific meaning, subnet, you specify the specific ip subnet on the config of the tunnel because the config include not a second subnet will not work it's traffic in the tunnel.

  • How to pass the traffic of a site VPN S2S by ASA to another S2S VPN site?

    I have a need for hosts on separate VPN networks connected to my ASA corp to communicate among themselves.  Example: Host A site 1 a need to communicate with host B on the site 2.  Both sites 1 & 2 are connected via the VPN S2S.  I would get every site traffic to flow through the ASA at the other site.  Where should I start my configuration?  NAT? ACL?

    I can ping each host in the network Corp. but cannot ping from one site to the other.  I set up same-security-traffic permit intra-interface and addition of NAT and rules the ACL to allow/permit 1 Site to contact Site 2.  When I do a trace of package through Deputy Ministers DEPUTIES, packets are allowed to pass. I read different that tell no NAT y at - it something at the other end of the VPN to do?  should NAT and ACLs rules be mirrored? Just in case, a site is an instance of MS Azure VM and the other is a 3rd party VM instance.

    On the HubASA, can I set up a new card encryption that selects the Site1 Site2 traffic and protect the traffic and value her counterpart Site2 public IP or just add this selection of traffic to the existing encryption card for the existing tunnel between HubASA and Site2?

    Just add this traffic to the existing encryption card.

    Remember that this should be added on three routers (two hubs and there has been talk).
