  Y at - it an option for the load utility of outline that I can use to load mutiple UDA to a standard size.
  For example, I called I want to attribute UDA A1 and B1 to Center and center dimension name. Whats happening is first it load A1, then after that it is remove A1 and B1 of loading. But I want to keep the existing UDA and add new ones to this dimension. Please let me know how to do that in planning using the sketch load utility.

• Failed to load several files to Essbase using generics and MaxL characters

  I have several data files to load:

  According to the following link, Essbase is able to load several files to the BSO via MaxL databases using wildcards:

  However, when I try to run the following, I get the following error:
  
  
  MaxL:

  Error:
  ERROR - 1003027 - failed to open file [DB01/oracleEPM/user_projects/epmsystem2/EssbaseServer/essbaseserver1/app/MyApp/DB /... /.. / Filename*.txt].
  ERROR - 1241101 - Essbase unexpected error 1003027.
  
  
  I can run the following fine without any problems, but it deals only with the first of several files, and I'd rather not hardcode several files as the number may vary in the future:

  import data from database MyApp.DB of data_file text Server "... /.. '. ' / MyApp/Filename.txt "using Server rules_file error ' L_MyRule' add to '\\Server\Folder\L_MyRule.err ';
  
  
  Any ideas? And what about ASO databases?

  Good point John, concatenate the files don't get you all that. Not sure about post of James it is fair after the wildcard for the usability or performance option.

• Display of UDAs in Essbase report Script

  Hello world.
  
  I am creating a report script where I show members by their UDA instead of their membername or alias.
  
  I have a large number of level 0 members who each have a tag for them to the UDA. I can query by the UDA in the report script, but it displays their membername, not the UDA in the final output.
  
  
  I need it is because I have a second Essbase cube that is to receive the data of this first. The 2nd cube has a level less than the source cube, therefore I am 'connecting' with a UDA on the members of level 0 of the source cube that corresponds to the membernames of members at level 0 of the target cube.
  
  I guess I could possibly use a linked partition?

  As you found, UDAs return the Member who are associated with them. Maybe create a size of attribute, which is the same as the ADU and retireve there. IF you want to go with the approach of the partition, it would be a not replicated partition a linked partition that will transfer data of one cube to another.

  Hello! Prabhakar,

  By default, Essbase does not refresh UDAs when you generate a dimension using the rules file.
  But if you want to:

  (1) add a UDA Member, select allow property changes in the dimension build parameters dialog box.
  (2) replace the ADU, select Allow changes of ownership and UDAs was updated in the build settings dialog box dimension.

  These members for which you want to add only UDA with accidental already existing UDA, if possible make another file and select the option to charge accordingly.

  Oracle table column maps to the size designation and UDA target Essbase formula and UDA respectively in ODI 11.1.1.6
  
  Interface has also run successfully.
  
  but noted in the Regional service console that shows the Member who doesn't have a formula "! FORMULA ERROR NOT LOADED! ». Same case with the UDA.
  
  Can you please how to handle this in the ODI format and the UDA in ODI.

  You would load UDA and formulas all the same that the other columns, if there is an error with the formula generates usually outline the comment of the error.

  It of probably worth to look to the operator steps and view the SQL code generated before being transmitted to essbase, you can then execute the SQL and verify if it is correct.

  Please note that you will need to manually delete the comment of the error in the outline as even if the formula is loaded correctly the next time, this does not alter the comment.

• UDAs multiple setting using the construction of the dimension

  Hello Experts,

  I build quite a large number of members who have more than one alias and several UDAs. I am able to assign multiple aliases by using separate rules file and define in each rule file, what alias update element. However, I am unable to repeat the same thing with the UDA, there is no available option.

  I created the csv file to build two dimension with different UDAs, but the second file always overwrite the UDA already assigned. Is it possible to assign several UDA via Sun build?

  See if you have deselected this option: allow the UDA exchange - values UDA of changes made to the values specified in the data source (if the option is not selected, UDAs of data source are added to existing UDAs)

  When, in the framework to build Sun, 'allow editing of the UDA"is defined, you will be able to add a single UDA. When you clear this option, then all values from UDA are updated.

• SmartView 11.1.2.1 - error with UDAs with 'stress '.

  We currently have several UDAs being used for the identification of specific members within the dimensions.
  
  For example within the entity -
  We have several countries and in the countries several entities (classified differently as unit sales - unit of prod)
  We will have further within all units of sales/Prod a HO and other branches
  
  Currently, for reporting calculations / we defined 2 types of aggregates for each entity:
  1. country: United Kingdom, USA, India, China
  2. unity: Sales_HO, Sales_BR or Prod_HO, Prod_Br
  
  So if I need to select all units of sale HO we can use the @UDA ("entity", "Sales_HO")... and so on... works great - demand (validation/deployment by EPMA), calculations etc...
  But in Smartview because if ad-hoc statement I try to select members based on these UDAs - it does not work. He appears in smartview without underscorelike "Sales HO" and throws an error 'empty member the value returned from the server.
  
  I checked the current options of Smartview - 'remove underscore' is greyed out and I'm not able to edit. (But it is not verified)
  
  Any suggestions on how to correct this problem.

  I have a problem: I can't import several UDA for a member of Interface Tables.
  EMP is 11.1.2. Tables - Oracle of the interface.
  
  For a UDA I just put his name in the "UDA" field in a table HS_... _MEMBER.

• UDA workload in planning problem

  Hi guru,.
  I found a way to load several UDA (in my case are just 2) the Member of the account with ODI.
  
  My steps:
  (1) load dimension with all necessary members of the uda UDA
  (2) load on the dim the parent, child, alias... account and the uda (relative to the ACC_UDA1 area)
  (3) the load on the Sun account (the same record from the previous load, except for the area of the uda in witch I load a different value)
  
  ex: PARENT: AAA
  CHILD: BBB
  ALIAS: CCC
  ACC_UDA1: AA1
  ACC_UDA2: AA2
  
  What I expect is that as soon as the BBB member, are associated both the uda (ZZZ and KKK).
  But what happened is that, after the second load, one UDA is associated with the Member, just the last one loaded... I think the IKM is using the update method.
  
  So, are any of you solve this problem?
  any help will be be appreciated.

  Having a problem with the syntax to load several UDAs in epma using the Excel file generator.
  
  First of all, I created the dimension of the UDA. I then added this dimension members. Then I posted UDAs in the column of the UDA in the dimension that requires the UDA.
  
  The file is downloaded with errors. It will take the UDA if there is only the UDA '1', but it won't if there are several UDAs. I use comma separation for the ADU multiples using what looks like the syntax so I manually load in EPMA using the properties editor in the Web interface. But it won't if I try the import.
  
  I don't know there is something simple, I am absent and instead to try again and again to understand what Miss me in search of suggestions.
  
  Currently the entry looks like this for the entity dimension (that is shot directly into the file of ADS). Only thing I put is Parent, child, UDA, Alias = default
  
  FINPRESCEXP; C1154; END; Project-END corporate image
  AAPRESCEXP; C1175; FIN, CSC, AGP, AAP. C restructuring
  
  The first works. The second is regected, saying: the Member 'FIN, CSC, AGP, AAP' does not exist

  I remember fighting with it, so I went back and looked at some of my old files of ADS. In these files, I use multi-column UDA (not a comma delmited list). Have you tried?

  1. what should be the LKM defined for the soruce. What is LKM SQL FOR SQL
  
  2. I have 6 standard dimensions in the table oracle but Currncy and hsprates in essbase. So, how can I ignore these two dimensions by loading data. Or is there a way where I can have the default options set for these two dimensions.
  
  3. can I load data from several tables into essbase. If Yes please let me know the procedure.
