Several video projects on DVD

Compressor Ver 4.2.2 have the ability to burn two or more FCP video projects on DVD, assuming that there is enough space?

Compressor Ver 4.2.2 allows to burn a DVD with video to iMovie?

I have an iMac, mid 2011, OS X El Capitan, worm 10.11.4.

Thank you

Compressor (like FCP) can only create videos of single track. If you need to do more, then I would combine them into a single FCC schedule. You would copy and paste several chronologies to a master timeline - probably incorporating title clips and chapter markers for easy navigation. (I guess that iMovie can do that too, but I'm not sure). What is certainly true is that you can export a video from iMovie, and then bring to the compressor to create a movie. (This is to combine several videos into iMovie, that I'm not sure of).

Post back if you have further questions on this.

  • Creation of blu - ray and DVD standard of same video project - issue of menus

    Hello

I have a video project, I intend to distribute on blu - ray and standard DVD. I plan create all menus and buttons for the blu - ray disc first. Can I just reduce the menus and buttons in again when I go to create the DVD standard? Or better, I'll recreate the standard DVD menus in Photoshop? Someone else to create the menus same br and standard DVDs? Any tips? I'm using CS5. Thank you.

    Cheers, Steve

I would certainly agree with Jim's response above too.

The problem with trying to use the same image is not massively different resolution (1920 x 1080 from 720 x 480), but also the size of the pixels.

BD uses square pixels and what you design is what you get in the disc - DVD on the other hand uses non-square pixels and it can be a nightmare to design if you try at the scale of the images of high Resolutiom down to SD

The SPHL button are also different - BD requires a separate layer for each State of the button to coloiurs up to 256 while DVD gives you the complete package on 2 bits of an image indexed with a total of 3 corridors.

I would definitely say to create separate menus for each project.

  • workflow - several videos of a multicam

I'm trying to help a local church with their media.

I would really appreciate help in the best way to create several videos of a single clip multicam. I import everything from two or three cameras and two recorders audio non - cam, and then create a multicam video. I created a project and edit the multi in the timeline where I spend in the viewer of the angles with strikes (not in the editor of the angle).

When I'm happy, I want to download sections of the multi (music and speech to a church service).

This is where I get confused; I have remove the sections I don't want to go to the timeline and load the remaining part.

Then I Ctrl-Z to return to the multi set, remove more and download the rest. Repeat till done!

I can't help but thing it of a stupid way of work and would be very grateful if someone lights!

There must be a better way.

    Thank you in anticipation

  • Merge several video files into one (fastest option)

    Hello everyone.

I was wondering if there is an easy way to join several video files using a first/Media Encoder (or another tool?)

I mean other than import in a project, by adding them all in a timeline and making everything again.

"Why not do just that? ... you ask.

The thing is - it's a delay of 24 hours. Yes that's right - this is a project where something was filmed for 24 hours. And there are 6 clips STROKE (every 4 hours) which should be combined into one

This makes it all... it takes 5 solid hours even on my MacPro.

    Any ideas?

    All the best.

It's the only way it can be done with Adobe software.

  • Hello, I want to build several video clips with more than 500 images (pictures) of each clip. I need to apply a different video transition effect to each photo. It might even be random effects. I see that I can apply a unique to all p transition effect

Hello, I want to build several video clips with more than 500 images (pictures) of each clip. I need to apply different transitions video effects by alternating each photo. It could be random effects. I see that I can apply a unique pictures transition effect at the same time, but how to apply different transitions not one by one? I could do a clip applying different transitions manually as I wish between hundreds of photos, but I would like to be able to repeat all the transitions of a new video by changing only the photos. Is this possible? Or a tool to apply random transition effects between photos? Or a way to automate the actions to apply different transitions similar to what we can do in Photoshop? Thank you!

But how to apply different transitions not one by one?

    You can not.

If you wish to make a slideshow with all the transitions better fantasies use something like Pro Show gold.

Alt drag window project replaces clip/still on the timeline.

Thank you for the important troubleshooting information.

You put too much on a single disc DVD spec'd to 4.7 GB / 120 minutes and compromise the quality of the final product NTSC DVD-VIDEO on a DVD disc widescreen by doing this. You should work with a not too much lower than the max 8.00 Mbps throughput. If you want to try to get everything on a single DVD disk and your Player supports DVD disc double layer, then use a DVD disc double layer in burn it to disc. The DVD double layer is spec'd to 8.5 GB / 240 minutes. That might work for you.

Your chances for a better quality product are significantly increased by

    1. divide the project on two discs DVD-R 4.7 GB / 120 minutes

    or

    2 put the project on a DVD-R disc 8.5 GB / 240 minutes.

If you try the project two discs DVD-R 4.7 GB / 120 minutes, consider the following scenario. Take your project current 2 hours and 9 minutes and make a copy of it (first elements Editor File Menu/save a copy). Then the copy to change the contents of the 1/2 and burn the rest with a menu appropriate to disk. With the other copy, modify the content of 1/2 and burn the rest with a menu on the disc.

But I suspect that the of DVD double-layer disc should be your answer if your Player supports. Most should.

If please consider and let me know if you see problems in the proposed plan.

    Thank you.

  • How to use the file that is saved in my new video project

Ho I use adobe Prime Minister 12 with license elements, and when I download the video and edit (delete a scene of her) I save in my new video project in video format very strange *.prel after that when I try to download files of this new is that with the changes in the system can not download because not suport this format *.ples how do I make changes to the format of the new file that is saved in my new video project?

    Thanks in advance

    stefang

Your work begins in a project file first items 12/12.1 with the file extension PREL. You can change the content of your Timeline and save the project file in a project file if you do not have ready to export the file to a format for playback.

When you are ready to export your content published or not fake chronology, you go to the section of publication + part of the open project where you make your choice of export-

    a. file saved on the hard disk of the computer (with various choice of video and audio compressions and file extensions)

    b. burn to DVD, AVCHD or Blu - ray disc

    What do you do?

    a. export your Timeline to file or burn it to a disc?

    OT

    b. export selectively some of the content rather than the entire contents of the timeline timeline?

For 'a', see section publication + share.

    For 'b '.

In the editing area of the program, you set the gray tabs on the work area bar to cover the area to export.

    and

When you get to publish + Share/computer/and your choice, make sure that the choice has an option for 'Hand work area Bar Only' and have a check mark next to this option.

The screenshot was made with a version earlier than 11, but still applies to the notion of positioning of the grey tabs and share work area Bar only in the export options.

Please review and consider. For any question or need clarification, please ask.

    Thank you.

Try this to explore the integrity of the files that are copied in the process of importing video VTS.

Open the disk, and then open the VIDEO_TS folder.

Open the first elements 13 and set the predefined project manually to NTSC DV widescreen (assuming that agree with the format of the file).

  • Several video transitions are missing in Premiere Pro CC 2014.  Where are they?

I've recently updated to Premiere Pro CC 2014 first Pro cc.  I had worked on a project with several video transitions that were no longer available to the first Pro CC 2104.  I thought that maybe they would come in a future update, but so far I have not seen my video transitions, including several zoom transitions and others.  That's happened?

  • Adding still Photos to the video project

I have a video project that I'm working on.  My preset in first Elements 10's HD 1920 x 1080i 5.1 sound.

I got out of the video on DVD and played it on a drive standard def DVD and on my computer.  The video is horrible.  If I play on a Blu - Ray player, it looks perfect.  Anyone know why that would happen?

The DVD release should not play on a standard player def DVD even if the source material is recorded in HD (AVCHD to Sony camera)?  The presets are selected in source material not the resolution output, no case?

I also did photo slideshows and used only the photos that I reduced to 1000 x 750 (72 dpi).  The video image is superb playback via a standard DVD player or a Blu - ray player.

However, when I try to combine the two... HD source material with more photos... nothing seems to work.  I chose the good built-in HD and resized the pictures both 1000 x 750 and 1500 x 1127 and they both look bad during playback via a normal DVD player or my computer.

How can I get my photos in a single project to look great during playback via a standard DVD player and playing on a computer and HD video.

Yet once, I chose the right preset for video, since it will be the largest part of my project and tried resizing of photos to meet the project preset. I chose DVD as output.  Video and photos look terrible on playback via a standard DVD player or on the computer.

    Help, please!

    Welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately, you're in down-rezzing from HD to SD, which is 1/4 of the resolution, as your original source files. A SD DVD is never as good as you HD material.

Is there a reason that you do not have a BD? It is the HD, and will be very close to Source footage.

    Good luck

  • Can I return a video project 4.0 after I recorded in 9.0?

I need to recover several 4.0 video projects I recorded to 9.0.  They will not open in 4.0 now.  Can I return them to 4.0?

Nope. It's one of the reasons why I recommend to my books NEVER open an old project of version with a new version of the program. (Cela and the fact that it tends to corrupt the old version of the project and cause a behavior bug.)

try to drag the vob files from the dvd to your hard drive and you can rename it with an extension "mpg" and then put in the editor.

PS... as the files are highly compressed mpeg 2. 'display'.to only... they are perhaps not so great for 'Edit'... not intended to be edited... but that's another question
