Hello J Choi,
1. What is the operating system installed on your computer?
2. what version of Movie maker are you using?
I suggest that you copy the video from the CD on the hard drive of the computer and then import it to create DVDs. Browse the CD and locate the video, copy it to your disk (computer) hard, and then try to import.

Capture videos from a DVD disc
Hi friends
We have DVDs with pictures of family (2 years ago we converted the strips of old VHS to DVD). That day, these DVD were recorded using Adobe Encore, so it has menus, chapters, titles and so on.
Now, we have a new collection. We want to "capture" images from the DVD again and convert it into a format like *. AVI or *. MPEG to open in Adobe Premiere and make necessary compositions, changes...
Adobe Premiere is able to capture images of a DVD? If not, do you know or advice, a software to do?
Thanks much for the Info
Gustavo.
Open the DVD using Windows Explorer or the Finder (mac), and then copy
all the. VOB files on a disk internal and import them into first.
.. quality in a format like *. AVI or *. MPEG...
The. The VOB files are already mpeg.
In fact, you can put the .mpg extensions if you prefer.

How to capture a video from a home made dvd to use to create a video edited with Windows Movie Maker
I have a DVD made home to a sporting event that my son has played in. I'm trying to get the DVD video in a file on my PC so that I can use it with Windows Movie Maker. I know how to create and edit a video on movie maker, but I can't seem to figure out how to capture video from this DVD. It is probably a 'rookie' question, but I couldn't find what I needed by using 'help' or 'search', so I hope someone in this forum can tell me how to do this.

Import the clips selected from a DVD finalized in PPCS4?
I'm looking for the best way to extract small segments of video from a DVD (DVD-R) COMPLETED on my computer for further editing. I tried with elements of Prime Minister, first Pro CS4, Roxio, Norton and a few others. All most of them import them all the full file rather than give you the option to choose a specific part of the video. By example, if I create a project consisting of 10 artists/acts in PP CS4 and bring it in AGAIN to create a DVD disc, it is created in a single file. Now let's say I want to export/extract a specific entertainer/Act. WHAT I WANT TO DO IS FIND AND VIEW THE DVD, FIND THE LAW, I'M LOOKING FOR AND CREATE AN 'IN' AND 'OUT' POINT TO EXTRACT/COPY/EXPORT THE SEARCH INSTEAD OF THE FULL FILM/PROJECT ACT.
Even when I use elements of first... I'm going to GET the MEDIA tab (from DVD of PC drive) and the IMPORTER of the VIDEO opens and runs for a LONG TIME open the file/movie 1-2 hours. I can then select the VOB file and click on GET the MEDIA, which is another long wait so he could copy. The copied file is the full VOB file and I wanted only an Act (a 2-3 minute segment).
Once again, I want to do is, FIND and VIEW THE DVD, FIND THE law I looking FOR AND CREATE AN 'IN' AND 'OUT' POINT TO EXTRACT/COPY/EXPORT THE WANTED law INSTEAD OF THE COMPLETE MOVIE/PROJECT.
CAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THIS?
Tom Mullica
Tom,
Yes, we can do that through the material. There are two things to consider: the camera transmission capabilities and connections possible In and Out. Instead of a camera, I use a bridge of A to D of Canopus, but a camera with transmission capabilities and the correct cables works very well too.
One thing you will obviously not is the remote control, but if you have away from the plate in one hand and the mouse in the other, by topic of the third time that you control both the bridge and Capture, you get down. Don't worry a few additional images, you can cut those just outside.
Good luck

How do I get the video from an SD card and Mac
What you want to do with the video? Just play, or modify it? If play, drag it into iTunes. It will, of course, need to be in a format that iTunes supports. Who will copy it to the computer and place it in the home movies iTunes folder. If you want to change it drag the map file to a desired location on the computer.
