SHA-1 ADS on Windows file

I noticed the change of Alternative Data Stream (ADS) SHA-1 on some Windows files, example cmd.exe was the change of SHA - 1 on its ADS. When a file of windows ADS Sha - 1 never would need to change, it would only change when there is an update to Windows? Hard to imagine too many scenarios where cmd.exe Sha-1 ADS changes.

    Hello

I have observed this for a few months now on my windows Server 2008 domain (all my clients are windows 7) and it drives me crazy.  My wireless nodes #1 bandwidth consumption is taken by 'Windows file shaing' on ports 137, 138, and 445.  I tried to pull the bandwidth on these ports on all of my users wireless using the wireless controller, then the claim of the user than even a small file as 100 MB ' would take hours to download.  If windows 7 OS is too talkative, I prefer to go back to windows XP?

What is the solution of my problem, I need to have my users to upload files and at the same time be fair with my bandwidth that does all my work of nodes and servers without really hard wire.  Help please.

Then you could try using the option called last known good configuration.

  • Why whs 2011 installation gets stuck to copy Windows files on the HARD drive?

I try to install WHS 2011 OEM on a HP EX470 software.  I have tried about 30 times without supervision and welfare facilities in the past 4 months and am very frustrated that I can't succeed and purchase the software was a waste of time and money.  I tried 4 hard drives, properly formatted capacity of 250 GB to 2 TB.  EX470 has the original 1620 AMD processor and 2 GB RAM upgraded and qualifies for the upgrade to a 64-bit system.

Problem with installation assistance tries: Installation says "Copying Windows files", but after a variable time in hours of waiting, growth remains at 0% and finally says "error in installation.  Try to restart the installation.  Same thing happens with the help of the DVD, or by using a Sandisk Cruser formatted and made bootable 16 GB flash drive with a file cfg.ini the instructions online and also tried without the cfg.ini file.
Problem with unattended installation attempts:  Process completely blind.  Does not install even if left for 24 hours.  Cannot decipher the flashing lights on the Flash drive and thereafter, no installation nor evidence of partial installation is visible on check the hard drive on another computer.  I suppose that the same thing as the installation attempts assisted.
Looked for solutions online for 4 months, but nobody does the problem of Windows not to copy the files to the HARD disk during installation and what goes wrong.

To maintain system stability, Windows must restore the original versions of these files. "He will then ask that I insert my 'Windows XP Professional CD2 now." 1. don't you make changes on the computer before this problem?
    2. when exactly you get this error message?

You will need to make arrangements for the CD of Windows XP to resolve this problem. Insert the CD-ROM when you are prompted and windows could solve this problem automatically.

It is possible that the files you have are good and the problem could be that the signatures authenticate not.  This could be caused by your root certificates being obsolete.  It wouldn't hurt to go to the following article:

"Members of the certificate program root Windows.

and go to the subsection titled "Root Update Package (intended for Windows XP only)".  Here, there is a link that will allow you to download and run an update of your root certificates.

    Hello

If you get the message of windows try to run once the SFC. See link for more information below:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310747

Put the XP CD in DVD ROM & run the "sfc/scannow".

You may have installed security software that has replaced/modified your some of the windows files. That's why you get this message.

  • The following message appears in a box titled "Windows File Protection".

The following message appears in a box titled "Windows File Protection" and says "files which are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions." To maintain system stability, Windows must restore the original versions of these files. Insert your Windows XP Professional CD2 now. "To my knowledge, there is no XP Professional CD2.  Can someone explain what is happening?

Okay - if you see thing version not recognized once again, come back and we can see everything in fixing it.

I think that your McAfee is what is messing things for you...  For some reason, he seems to think that some of the XP files are threats and quarantines (deletes effectively) them.

If you see the new Windows File Protection message, then find the name of the file (s) that XP complains and substitute / them another way, so the next time that you see it, to do this:

When you see a message like this:

    Windows file protection
Files which are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions.  To maintain system stability, Windows must restore the original versions of these files.

I hope that you are curious to know what is the file and when you know that, you can decide what to do about it.

You must click Cancel, and then click Yes to keep the file, then you will have an event to watch which will tell you what the problem is the file.

Search where you sign in to see what is the name of file system Viewer, then decide what to do.

When in the Viewer system event log, click the "Source" column header to sort the events in alphabetical order by the name of the Source.  The events of "Windows File Protection" must be near the bottom of the list (because they begin with 'W').

The event will look something like in this example:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Windows File Protection
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 64005
    Date: 10/01/2011
    Time: 14:41:56
    Description:
The protected system file taskmgr.exe had not been restored in its original, valid version because the Windows File Protection restoration process was cancelled by user interaction, user name is Jose.  The file version of the bad file is unknown.

When you know what the file is, you can decide what to do about it.  There may have other copies of the files on your system or you can get the files from another source - anyone can download the file (s) you need for their SkyDrive and you can download and replace the files one at a time.  First you must understand what the file is that XP thinks he needs.

A shortcut to the event viewer is to click on start, run and enter in the box:

    eventvwr.msc

Click OK to launch the event viewer.

Check your event observer system log and look for a proposed Windows file protection event.

When in the Viewer system event log, click the "Source" column header to sort the events in alphabetical order by the name of the Source.  The events of "Windows File Protection" must be near the bottom of the list (because they begin with 'W').

If you double-click on an event, it will open a window of properties with more information.  On the right are black up and down arrow keys to scroll through the open events. The third button that looks like two overlapping pages is used to copy the details of the event in your Windows Clipboard.

When you find an interesting event that occurred at the time of your question, click on the third button at the top and arrows to copy the details and then you can paste the details (right click, paste or CTRL-V) the text in detail here for analysis.  Remove all personal information from your information after you paste If you are forced to do so.

Please provide a solution...

    Hi BinishAugustine,

    ·         What is the full error message that you receive?

    ·         Which antivirus program is installed on the computer?

This problem can occur because of an infection by malicious program variants.

You can run the Microsoft Safety Scanner to search for infection by the virus. Check out the following link.

Microsoft Safety Scanner - free online tool for PC health and safety

  • Error message - Windows files have been replaced by unrecognized to start Windows XP, files.

Original title: unrecognized Windows files at startup.

I recently installed XP Service Pack 3, which included the so-called "Power Shell". Since when I then boot up, I get a message box that Windows files have been replaced by unknown files. I gives me the opportunity to continue with these files not recognized or not. If I choose "Yes" to continue, the message warns me that continue with those unrecognized files could make Windows unstable. If I choose 'No', I received instruction to insert the correct CD and install the files. Problem is the only drive I have is the Operating System CD that came with my Dell Inspiron 530 s. The message then told me that it's not the correct CD.
I thought about uninstalling Power Shell, but I get a message that it could lead to things like updates of IE and do not work. What should I do?

The messge comes up saying that it is not the correct CD as Service Pack of the CD must match with the Service Pack installed on your computer. However, there was a similar question was asked here - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-performance/in-xp-getting-error-files-that-are-required-for/f7433993-e5c2-454c-8f23-ddd7fdb3630b

Please refer to it. The solution may be the same as far as I KNOW.

    It can be useful :)
