Shared variable between 2 LabVIEW executables via the network

Hello, I need to create a number of network shared variables by two (built with LabVIEW 8.6) executables running on two different computers on a local network. The library to invoke node returns an error when you use a different IP than localhost. even more, it is not clear to me what exactly I have to do (what executable deploys the library, on which targets, activate the link or not, so on...). Thanks for any help, if you have already managed to make this communication works properly...

Thanks for the replies. I've found the last two documents, but the first one is the most interesting: if I can't put the sources of two applications in a single project, I will move to another solution (data as suggested by Mike sockets or TCP). The two original projects are larger, and their merger would lead to such a huge thing!

  • How to make a shared variable, which is an update on the host channel?

    Hi all

    I'm relatively new to LabVIEW, so I apologize in advance.  I'm working on a vision for research application and I'm trying to convey an image of the smart camera target to the host.  I flattened the IMAQ image to a string and pass the string to a shared variable.  On the end of the host, I unflatten image and try to post to see if I don't really get the image data on the host.  However, it only displays the first image and after that the image is not updated.  In addition, the shared variable itself is not up-to-date.  I have a loop timed on the target and a loop of simulation on the host.  Help or direction would be appreciated.

    Thank you very much.

    I thought about it and will post here just in case it might help someone else.  For some reason, the IMAQ flatten channel gives a format that did not like the unflatten of the chain.  When I have no flat chain, it didn't recognize it as an image.  Instead, I just used the generic flatten the string on the target and then block when I have not flattened image on the host computer, I had to only give the guy I got to report the allocation of memory IMAQ.  Maybe I'm just slow, but if this helps someone else, fine.  Thanks again.

  • sharing file-Win 7 and VISTAcomputers on the network

    Cannot access files shared between 2 computers on a network
    Original: SONY Vaio laptop running Vista Home Premium SP2 on a PRIVATE network
    New: HP Pavilion computer desktop running Win7 Home Premium SP1 on a network of domestic (not homegroup)
    Router: Netgear WNR 2000

    The two computers are in the Working Group: task force
    In the advanced settings for home or work I put the two: NETWORK DISCOVERY ON
    SHARE FILES AND PRINTERS ON
    PASSWORD PROTECTION OFF
    PUBLIC SHARING ON
    I tried the two use 128 encryption and enable the 40 and 56 bit options.
    I have two computers on the network map, but on PC Win 7 shows, the VAIO username but I cannot access (use of right click) to the ck management, properties etc.
    The network presents a double between the computers and the internet.
    In windows explore-network; on Win 7 PC, only the folders on the computer are displayed. The laptop computer VISTA and Win 7 appear, but for WIn7, only the user files listed are default and the public. (NO user of the VAIO.

    I finally got the printer Canon MX310 toshaere after downloading and installing the software 64-bit, then SETTING THIS PRINTER to DEFAULT ON THE LAPTOP (SUSPICION OF PEOPLE HAVING PROBLEM other than PRINTER).
    Now, what should I do to access folder and the files on the laptop VAIO desktop (WIN7) HP (VISTA).
    I think that I put (at least) the documents folder to share. (I added a user to the permissions called NETWORK)
    Also, I shared the C: drive

  • How can I share local drives exclusively between my 4 computers on the network?

    Hello
    Now I'm sharing local drives between my computers setting to share with everyone and which works very well but I'm worried about my brothers and sisters, to access my files.
    I want my 4 computers to share their local hard drives exclusively between them so, how can I do?
    I tried to add permissions for each computer individually but every time I have to try give me a message "the next object is not a domain listed in the Select location dialog box, and is therefore not valid" here is a screenshot of this:
    http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/4425/82018296.PNG

    And btw my computers all have the same user name and password are.
    Thanks for the help I appreciate it sincerely from the bottom of my heart =)

    In the network and sharing settings / advanced sharing settings / turn sharing protected by password. Use a unique name for the corresponding user password on your four computers.
    Set the Public sharing or disable as your prefer for your public folders and organize your files accordingly.

  • Sharing folders between only trust Mac over a network, not everyone

    I can't find an exact answer to it any where online so I hope that someone here will have an answer.

    I'm in an office shared with other Mac and PC on the same network, all I want to do is allow one or two Mac trust access to certain folders on the first machine and vice versa, but does not any unwanted access machines.

    These records will be available often sometimes sharing large files so airdrop or the public folder is not an option. Rather than spending a lot on a NAS drive dedicated for example I just want to be able to share some folders with a password only once in their Keychain, that they can just access as and when they require.

    I would have thought that it is relatively simple, but for the life of me can't work how? Anyone know if this is possible? have I lost it?

    01 machine is a mac pro end of 2013 (bin), 02 is a mac pro 2012 (Tower) and 03 is a macbook pro 2011 all running Yosemite. (El Capitan is not an option yet for various reasons of 3rd party software/hardware)

    Thank you very much

    Marc

    This is possible.

    You need to check with you network administrator.  It is best to get a static ip address.

  • Cannot access the readynas via the network of windows 7 since the 65.5 update

    I have a readynas 102 fixed by a switch to a windows 7 computer pro.

    Before the update, to 65.5 I could still access the files on my readynas 102 (name: homedrive) by selecting it under Network > homedrive

    Since the update, it still appears in 'network', but clicking on does not give me access more :-(

    I found that I can open the homedrive ready nas using the IP (\\192.***.*.***) in a new window of Solution Explorer. The media unit also works very well to access music. But why can't access through the 'network' - and why he always appears without giving me access...

    I guessed that maybe it's to do with the new credentials of connection (since the change of a name of the EBU to an e-mail address), but how to change it in my windows pc network?

    Any help would be great and simple steps please! Thank you very much.

    Thanks to your inspiration I solved it my changing the password of the network connection of the former username of pre update for the new updated post e-mail deal as username via windows credentials... thank you everyone :-)

  • Windows 7 cannot print on a deskjet D2650 via the network

    I have a D2650 deskjet printer connected to a desktop computer running XP Pro - SP3 - updated

    I got a laptop with Vista professional I could print from via my wireless to the printer.

    I upgraded to a laptop with Windows 7 Pro and the laptop found the printer over the network, and I was able to print a test page, no problem. I then tried to print a Word document and nothing happens. I come back and print another test page... no problem. Try to print from other programs and... nada.

    I then installed the correct drivers for Win7 64 bit, connected to the printer and print anything very well. When I return to the network and try to print, nothing other than a test page.

    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    To do this on the Windows 7 computer.

    Go to devices and printers
    Add a printer
    Add a local printer
    Create a NEW Port in the Add Wizard in the Control Panel Printers
    Select LOCAL port (unless your printer is a printer on a network with an address IP then chose TCPIP port
    Enter the name of the XP network or IP address
    Install the Win 7 driver

  • You need permission to perform this action via the network

    Desktop is WIndows XP Professional 64-bit (the system where the file is stored)

    Laptop is WIndows 7, 64-bit (the system that I use to try to open the file that is located on the desktop)

    I put the folder shared Documents to share.  I can make a few files in the root folder, but nothing in the subfolders of this folder, I get this error message.  I don't like the idea of having to define all of these subfolders to share as there must be a better way to do it.  If there is a server operating system, it would be easy enough to do, but Windows XP Pro 64 - bit does not appear to be the type of security settings that I used to see when I'm in the middle of working with a file on the server with a windows server operating system.  Therefore, I have various questions:

    Why this things should be much more difficult for users to be allowed to do things that it would be for corporations IT admins in the workplace?

    How can I get my laptop in the office system user given the desks of users and groups don't even whether me to select the laptop to be able to draw users from?

    How can I get all subfolders of a shared folder to be able to open the file by another user on the network?

    I'm really sick and tired of having to deal with this issue and I don't feel every single document should be put directly in the shared folder or each unique subfolder must be configured as a shared folder.

  • Printing problems on a M1120n MFP printer via the network

    Hello

    I bought a printer HP M1120n MFP, a couple of months.  I made sure that there the firmware up-to-date and that you have downloaded the latest drivers from hp.com.

    I can print and scan very well from the PC which is connected to the printer via a USB cable.  However, I can not usually print on the network of the other PC.  On the PC, I can ping the printer and I can also see the printer status page if I enter the IP address in a web browser on the PC.  So, I'm sure that there are no network connectivity problems.

    However, when I print to the printer on the network of these PCs, jobs just to stay in the queue for the printer.  Sometimes they print - but I don't see any model when they print.

    I would appreciate any suggestion on what to do, because I have to return this printer unless I can solve the problem?

    Thank you

  • Network connects via radio instead of via the network cable. How can I configure the network card as the default network connection?

    Network wireless adapter NIC Ethernet network device

    I've updated from Windows XP to Windows 7 recently. My internet connection used to be connected directly to my computer and I have a wireless router for other users in the House. Since getting 7, my computer (while still having the direct connection) should automatically connect via the wireless. If I disable the feature wireless to the computer I lose access to the internet completely. Is there anyway that I can get it back to the way it was without going back to XP? I know it's probably something really simple to fix, but I just can't understand it. Thanks for any help you can give!

  • console series via the network - supported?

    Hello

    I tried to configure the console series accessible over the network.

    But the error message:

    serial0 [msg.serial.pipe.posix.bind.bind]: unable to bind the socket to the server: no such file or directory

    My config:

    Serial0.present = 'TRUE '.

    Serial0.filetype = 'pipe '.

    Serial0.filename = "telnet://192.168.222.1:10000".

    Serial0.yieldOnMsrRead = 'TRUE '.

    Serial0.pipe.endpoint = 'server '.

    192.168.222.1 is the ip address of my PC and the port tcp/10000 is not used.

    Thank you

    It is not officially supported on the merger, but try this:

    Serial0.present = 'TRUE '.

    Serial0.filetype = 'network '.

    Serial0.filename = "0.0.0.0:10000".

    Serial0.network.endpoint = 'server '.

    Serial0.startConnected = 'TRUE '.

    (or you can replace to a host interface address 0.0.0.0, if you do not want to listen on all interfaces).

    See you soon,.

  • Sharing variables between mxml files

    I have two mxml files...

    Say file1.mxml and file2.mxml

    I have a class class1 in the file 'action_script.as '.

    Problem is, I have an obj_class1 of the object of class class1 in file1.mxml. I want to use the same obj_class1 object, created in file1.mxml in file1.mxml.

    I don't know how to share variables / cdata in the mxml files.

    The cutting-edge solution for this is to use a singleton class. There are a lot of articles about it.

    An example:

    Create a class as follows:

    This class has a getInstance method that returns an instance of the GlobalVariables class (or any name you choose)

    By calling this method, you are sure that there is only one instance of this class your application. By adding the properties of this class, you can share anywhere.

    package myPackage
    {

    [Bindable]
    public class GlobalVariables
    {

    private static var _instance:GlobalVariables;

    public void GlobalVariables()
    {
    }

    Public Shared function getInstance (): GlobalVariables
    {
    If (GlobalVariables._instance is nothing)
    {
    GlobalVariables._instance = new GlobalVariables();
    }
    Return GlobalVariables._instance;
    }

    Public Shared function deleteInstance (): void
    {
    If (GlobalVariables._instance! = null)
    {
    GlobalVariables._instance = null;
    }
    }

    PROPERTIES

    myGlobalVar
    private var _myGlobalVar:String;
    public function get myGlobalVar (): String
    {
    Return _myGlobalVar;
    }
    public function set myGlobalVar(value:String):void
    {
    _myGlobalVar = value;
    }

    }
    }

    Now, how to store and retrieve these properties:

    Store:

    GlobalVariables.getInstance (.myGlobalVar) = "the value of this property."

    Recover:

    MyLabel.set_Text = GlobalVariables.getInstance () .myGlobalVar;

    It's really very simple. Just adapt to this design model and you'll be a happier developer in the future

  • Windows 7 can not connect to Hplaserjet 2430TN via the network

    .

    I'm going to have a problem with my windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit and my HP laserjet 2430tn than. printer networked through a concert switch 24 ports Linksys. I have only my PC a server and my children 4 PC on the switch. Oh and my printer has a static IP address with the rest of the DHCP of the computer.

    Everything went well on my Windows 7 box until I tried to print to the HP and the work just hung in limbo. I deleted and gone with no luck.
    Once the Windows 7 box returned the printer skewered on that I printed before. Tried to print again no luck, repeated above market. It has gotten to the point where I removed the printer and tried to add the printer but 7 does not detect that there is a printer to this IP (192.168.1.50). In my workgroup, I can ping the printer from my pc and never another PCs. I can even web to the printer and to the Jetdirect firmware is up to date.

    I installed the printer on an XP via IP machine and it works fine. Windows 7 sees it as a shared printer, but I do want to share from another machine.

    Do not forget that it was all work for a few weeks until very recently. Any help would be appreciated
