  I plugged a disk external DRIVE via USB my cable provider Modem/Router so I could access it on my Macbook.  When I get K command in the finder, it appears like a number and a sharepoint folder.  When I double click on the folder that nothing appears.  The drive is formatted Mac OS journaled and works fine when plugged directly into the Macbook so I know it works.  I know that's not good to go but any help would be greatly appreciated.

  A third-party router is unable to read a disc in Mac OS format. You must follow the manufacturer's instructions to reformat the hard drive on the router. This will delete all data on the disk.

  If you have two Macs, you can of course share the drive from one to the other without reformatting.

• As of today, Firefox doesn't let me access to SharePoint. Message "401 Unauthorized" Get

• Portege R830-138 - does not connect to the SharePoint Site: 401.1 error

  Recently bought a Portege R830-138, but I am getting it to connect to our Service businesses - SharePoint Site I receive a "error HTTP 401.1 - Unauthorized: access denied due to credentials not valid." message.
  The laptop has a full internet access and we have access to the server that is running the SharePoint site by using the same credentials via Remote Desktop. Can also connect to SharePoint site of any another machine using the same credentials.

  1. you go to sharepoint and open it in Explorer windows (see attachment)

  2. you do a right click on a file that is there where you want to save documents

  3. click on properties

  4 copy "location:

  5 use as the path and it should work

• February 9, 2016, cumulative update for SharePoint Server 2013 (KB3114726)

  I need this update to make my second server sharepoint 2013 company to be at the same version as my current.

  Current version of the 2013 Production SP 15.0.4797.1000 Server Configuration database

  Current version of new SP 2013 Development Server Configuration database Version 15.0.4763.100 - how do I update this new server to match the current production one.  I found that 15.0.4797.1000 and tried to downoad CU February 2016 but get this error below

  Why can't I download this more. Loading of the page kb but when try to download it gives this error. "We're sorry, the page you requested could not be found."

• Question of SharePoint 2013 KB3114927

  I have a Server 4 farm SharePoint 2013 on 2012 R2 servers.  I test recent patches on my test environment and one of the Web servers is having a problem.  It is said that KB3114927 is missing when I run the command psconfig on any of the boxes, but when I try to install on this server, it declares that it is already installed.  It is not in the list of installed updates and I don't find any mention of this KB in the registry.  Does anyone know how to force this update to reinstall?  Thank you.

• The upgrade of Sharepoint 2010 and Sharepoint 2013

  We seek to improve our SharePoint, due to errors in the registry.  We are only using SharePoint as a calendar now is not a big deal to create a new SharePoint.  My question is that do I need to install to make it work?  Do I need to uninstall the version of 2010 before hand?

• Activating SharePoint Designer

  I'm new to SharePoint and learn to use SharePoint as an end user. I it running on a VMWare virtual server, Windows 2008, using the Google Chrome browser.

  I need access to SharePoint Designer to change a column width. I activated by:

  1. To access the Site, Site Collection Administration settings, SharePoint Designer settings
  2. Enable SharePoint Designer
  3. Allow the detachment of the Site definition Pages
  4. Enable Custom Master Pages and Page layouts
  5. Enable the URL of Web Site Structure management

  When I click on Site Actions, Edit in SharePoint Designer, the page is empty. Is there anything else I should do?

• CAL and confusion of Sharepoint on license ActionPack.

  We Action pack subscription and we have sharepoint 2013 users who will use the SharePoint is 30 approximate. That's why we need 30 CLIENT access licenses

  Now, we have already used Microsoft Sever 2012 key and we want to buy another server for sharepoint.

  Now the question is.

  -We already have 10 CALs for sharepoint with ActionPack do we need to buy 20 CALs extra or total 30 client access licenses as we will use not standard pack Action sever edition 2012 as an operating system?

  -Server for Windows client access licenses how 2012 standard would be required when using Sharepoint 2013 on top Windows server 2012?

  -What is CAL 2012 Server R2 standard rate and what is the price of CAL Sharepoint Standard 2013?

  Any help would be much appreciated.

• Bugs update Cumulative SharePoint 2013 November 2015

  Recently, we updated our Sharepoint for last CU environment.  We know the following problems.

  1. user profile
  Administrator downloads user profile photos.  The image is saved with the administrator account on the connection.  Post of the administrator of all the images, the images point to the same one causing all user profile are the same.

  2. Navigation Link bar
  The ampersand symbol is not decoded on record causing links to break.  When you enter a sign & (and), he will return to & and prevent the links work.

  3. change the button greyed out on Document PDF
  When you select a PDF file, the edit document button is grayed out.

  4. number of guests

  When opening PDF files, there are two guests to open the files.

  I also looked for a solution of TechNet and found that there is a KB to install (2771431) (located here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2765260?wa=wsignin1.0 ), but when I try to install it I get the following error: "the update is not applicable to your computer. I also tried the second step, if the installation does not work and it has not yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
