Sharpening the mask looks Cool

I think that the image you get by pressing alt on the sharpening mask is a really cool graphic black and white, and want to know how to save him. Any advice?

I'm sure that in LR, your only option is to make a screenshot.

In Photoshop, you can watch the "high pass" and "find edges" filter.

• When I scroll through the mask of image sequence does not follow the layer of the timeline?

Another problem. I simply scroll the image sequence and you can see on the screenshot that the mask remains where it was in the beginning. I applied red tinted effect (just to show you), and it does not stick to the station when scroller is at the end of the timeline which is say that the mask is not to follow. But it should, because the mask is the image sequence. Why? Please take a look. Maybe there is something wrong with the Ctrl c and Ctrl v method - it's how I inserted my BW mask in the layer mask?

Looks like your mask has too many paths of access or summits. Try to turn on caps lock shift before you open the ASP (project file) or before you launch AE. • How to add the mask into effect reference is Options for Composition with after effects CC 2014?

The main reason why I'm updating my After Effects with cc 2014 is "composition for each effect options, including the ability to limit the area affected by each of the effects with masks". This useful feature really simplify my work. But now I realize that I want to use the script function.

I get Composition Options the effect name and matchName.It looks like this:

NameNameNameNamepropertyValueTypeRemove
Composition optionsundefinedADBE effect built in Params
MasksundefinedEffect ADBE Mask Parade
Reference mask 1undefinedADBE effect mask
Reference mask 1MASK_INDEXFlow path ADBE effect Ref
Opacity of the effectOneDADBE mask opacity

I try to use .canAddProperty ("ADBE effect mask") and .canAddProperty ("ADBE Path flow Ref effect"). However, it returns false.

I found that add or delete this property in the user interface are the buttons '+' and '-', so maybe I can use app.executeCommand (app.findMenuCommandId (theCommand)); However, I can't find that button name because it does not have a helpTips to remind me of the name.

So how do you add the mask with script reference? Or ESTK has no permissions to access this useful property so far? I have not found anything on the Internet.

Moreover, I have an another two quick questions:

1. If there is more than two masks in a layer, remove for each mask is the same ("ADBE Mask Parade") ("ADBE Mask Atom"). How can I use the Remove to get the second mask such as the name property? First I treat like a table, but ("ADBE Mask Parade") ("ADBE Mask Atom') [index] actually did not work, so that ("ADBE Mask Parade") (" ADBE Mask Atom'") (index) is referring to the child property altogether in the first mask. I have no idea about it.

2. when I use the method property() with script, property ('effect'), and property("effect") are all the two ok. The only difference in the method is the single quotes ' and the Quotation brands "." I just want to know if the "and" have any difference in the method property (), except that "this color is blue" and "this color is purple" in ESTK.

The advice and the answer would be appreciated.

Yes you can add masks to the effects by script.

If "fx" is a fx on a layer:

var fx.compositingOption = co; or fx.property ("ADBE effect Built In Params')

var fxMasks = co.mask;                                            or co.property ("ADBE mask Parade"): INDEXED_GROUP j

fxMasks.canAddproperty ("ADBE effect mask");    true

var fxMask = fxMasks.addproperty ("" ADBE effect mask");

fxMask.maskReference.setValue (1);                        or fxMask.property ("ADBE effect way Brook Ref") .setValue (1);

If you can do short

fx.compositingOption.mask.addProperty("ADBE Effect Mask").maskReference.setValue(1);

Usage Notes

Valid format masks for character strings, numbers and dates are described in the following tables.
Character Strings
The following table describes valid format masks for character strings.

Element     Example     Description
FM FMXX99 Fill mode: accept string as typed, do not right justify. Allows end user input string to be shorter than the format mask.
X XXXX Any alphabetic, numeric, or special character. End user input string must be exact length specified by format mask.
9 9999 Numeric characters only. End user input string must be exact length specified by format mask.
A AAAA Alphabetic characters only. End user input string must be exact length specified by format mask.
Character String Examples

Format Mask     Description
XXAA Will accept: --ab, abcd, 11ab; will not accept: --11, ab11, or ab--(must use XX to accept hyphens and other special characters).
XXXX Will accept any combination of alphabetic, numeric, or special characters: --ab, abcd, 11ab, --11, ab11, or ab--. Will accept 1234 or abcd; will not accept 123 or abc. (To accept input string shorter than mask, use FMXXXX.)
FMXX99 Will accept ab12, ab1, ab followed by two spaces; will not accept 12ab or abcd. (To produce the Form Builder Version 3.0 Alpha datatype, use FMAAAAAA.)
n To embed additional characters such as a hyphen (-) or a comma (,), surround the character with double-quotes (").
n Embedded characters are separate from text item values and are not collated along with text item values, even when the end user enters them.

NUMBERS

The following table describes valid format masks for numbers.

Element     Example     Description
9 9999 Number of nines determines display width. Any leading zeros will be displayed as blanks.
0     0999     Display leading zeros.
0 9990 Display zero value as zero, not blank.
$ $9999 Prefix value with dollar sign.
B B9999 Display zero value as blank, not "0".
MI 9999MI Display "-" after a negative value.
PR 9999PR Display a negative value in .
comma 9,999 Display a comma in this position. For correct behavior in multilingual applications, substitute G to return the appropriate group (thousands) separator.
period 99.99 Display a decimal point in this position. For correct behavior in multilingual applications, substitute D to return the appropriate decimal separator.
E 9.999EEEE Display in scientific notation (format must contain exactly four "E"s).
FM FM999 Fill mode: accept string as typed, do not right justify.
n When you mask a number with nines (9), Form Builder adds a space in front of the number to accommodate the plus (+) or minus (-) sign. However, since the plus sign is not displayed, it appears as if Form Builder adds a space in front of the number. (The minus sign is displayed.)
n To embed additional characters such as a hyphen (-) or a comma (,), surround the character with double-quotes (").
n Embedded characters are separate from text item values and are not collated along with text item values, even when the end user enters them.

NUMBER Examples

Format Mask     Description
FM099"-"99"-"9999 Displays the social security number as formatted, including hyphens, even if end user enters only nine digits.To create a Social Security column, create an 11-character column, set to fixed length, with a format mask of 099"-"99"-"9999. This mask will accommodate Social Security numbers that begin with zero, accepting 012-34-5678 or 012345678 (both stored as 012345678).
99999PR     Accepts -123; reformats as <123>.
999MI     Accepts -678; reformats as 678-.
9.999EEEE     Displays as 1.00E+20.
How Forms handles length mismatches

If a runtime user enters a numeric string that exceeds the format mask specification, the value will be rejected. For example:

Format Mask     User enters     Result
99.9     321.0     Invalid
99.9     21.01     Invalid
99.9     21.1     21.1
99.9     01.1     1.1
In contrast, if a numeric value fetched from the database exceeds the format mask specification for its display field, the value is displayed, but truncated, with rounding, to fit the mask. (The item itself within the Forms application retains its full value.) For example, if the database held the value 2.0666, and the format mask was 99.9, the value displayed to the user would be 2.1. However, the value of the item within the form would be the full 2.0666.

Dates

The following table describes valid format masks for dates.

Element     Description
YYYY or SYYYY 4-digit year; "S" prefixes "BC" date with "-".
YYY or YY or Y Last 3, 2, or 1 digits of year.
Y,YYY Year with comma in this position.
BC or AD     BC/AD indicator.
B.C. or A.D.     BD/AD indicator with periods.
RR Defaults to correct century. Deduces the century from a date entered by comparing the 2 digit year entered with the year and century to which the computer's internal clock is set. Years 00-49 will be given the 21st century (the year 2000), and years from 50-99 will be given the 20th century (the year 1900).
MM     Month (01-12; JAN = 01).
MONTH Name of month, padded with blanks to length of 9 characters.
MON Name of month, 3-letter abbreviation.
DDD     Day of year (1-366).
DD     Day of month (1-31).
D     Day of week (1-7; Sunday=1).
DAY Name of day, padded with blanks to length of 9 characters.
DY Name of day, 3-letter abbreviation.
J Julian day; the number of days since January 1, 4712 BC.
AM or PM     Meridian indicator.
A.M. or P.M. Meridian indicator with periods.
HH or HH12 Hour of day (1-12).
HH24     Hour of day (0-23).
MI     Minute (0-59).
SS     Second (0-59).
SSSSS     Seconds past midnight (0-86399).
/. , . Punctuation is reproduced in the result.
"..." Quoted string is reproduced in the result.
FM Fill mode: assumes implied characters such as O or space; displays significant characters left justified. Allows end user input to be shorter than the format mask. (Use in conjunction with FX to require specific delimiters.)
FX All date literals must match the format mask exactly, including delimiters.
n When you prefix a date mask with FX, the end user must enter the date exactly as you define the mask, including the specified delimiters:

Date Examples

Format Mask     Description
FXDD-MON-YY Will accept 12-JAN-94, but will not accept 12.JAN.94 or 12/JAN/94 because the delimiters do not match the mask. Will not accept 12JAN94 because there are no delimiters. Will accept 01-JAN-94 but will not accept 1-JAN-94.
FMDD-MON-YY Will accept 01-JAN-94. Will also accept the entry of other delimiters, for example 01/JAN/94 and 01 JAN 94. However, will not accept 01JAN94. Will accept 1-JAN-94, converting it to 01-JAN-94.
DD-MON-YY Will accept 12.JAN.94, 12/JAN/94 or 12-JAN-94. Note: Any delimiter characters will be accepted, but if delimiters are omitted by the end user, this mask will interpret date characters as a delimiters. Will accept 12-JAN94, (but will erroneously interpret as 12-JAN-04); but will not accept 12JAN94, because "AN" is not a valid month name.
n Use of a format mask only affects how the data looks. Form Builder stores full precision, regardless of how the data is presented.
n Embedded characters are separate from text item values and are not collated along with text item values, even when the end user enters them.
n To embed additional characters such as a hyphen (-) or a comma (,), surround the character with double-quotes ("). Note, however, that double-quotes themselves cannot be used as a character. In other words, trying to achieve output of DD"MM by specifying a mask of DD"""MM would not work.

Format Mask     Description
FMMONTH" "DD", "YYYY Displays the text item data in the specified date format: JANUARY 12, 1994, including the appropriate blank spaces and comma.
FMDD-MONTH-YYYY     Displays as 12-JANUARY-1994.
DY-DDD-YYYY Displays as WED-012-1994. Note: for input validation including day of the week, a mask that allows specific determination of the day is required, such as this example or DY-DD-MM-YY.
n When you use day of the week formats, be sure that the data includes day of the week information. To avoid illogical masks, display also either the day of the year (1-366) or the month in some format.

Format Mask     Description
DD-MONTH-YYYY     Displays as 12-JANUARY-1994.
DY-DDD-YYYY     Displays as WED-012-1994.
DY-DD-MON-YY Displays as WED-12-JAN-94. Be sure to include month. Avoid masks such as DY-DD-YY, which could generate an error.
NLS Format Masks

The following table describes valid National Language Support (NLS) format masks.

Element     Example     Description
C C999 Returns the international currency symbol.
L L9999 Returns the local currency symbol.
D 99D99 Returns the decimal separator.
G 9G999 Returns the group (thousands) separator.
comma 9,999 Displays a comma in this position.
period 9.999 Displays a decimal point in this position. Displays a decimal point in this position.
NLS Format Mask Examples

Format Mask     Description

• Harvest and the mask in Adobe Premiere Elements 11

In the first 11 elements, when I add a mask to cover the area of video, cropping, I applied to remove a strip at the top and bottom of the video no longer works?

I tried to change the order of the applied effects, but it doesn't change anything.

Any help appreciated.

Pinball

I'm not sure what I did the other day so that everything is to be put in place. Today nothing has been that he was, that would be the bad news. The good news (of sorts) was intriguing revelations that has evolved.

I followed your workflow in step 6. I think you got typo in what you had "two bottoms", but without real consequence on the issue at hand.

Step number 7 ("cannot add mask effects") has been a problem not if you clicked video editing before clicking on the Clip Menu/effect mask/Apply.

When the effects of mask is applied by clicking on this app, what looks like a duplicate of Timeline video 1 appear on the track directly above the original on video 1. At this point, before acreage in video content 1 reappears, giving the impression that no cropping file was ever made.

1. it looks like what appears on the video 2 tracks to the original on the hard drive but not the file, which is located underneath on Video 1, except for the contents of the box of the mask effects. Further explanation on how I concluded that if necessary. Good enough explanation for cultivated areas are filled in. But there is more...

2. If you isolate (ungroup) up down components here, up has harvest Panel, accelerated blur, et al. in his group of the applied effects. No additional cropping it cultures only the mask effects. Background effects applied Group just the routine Motion and opacity Panel. If you look at isolated up and down, the top shows with the shape mask effects with snapshot of the area of origin, it was supposed to be the effects of masking this snapshot is surrounded by black representintg transparency. The background looks like the original as seen in the active project.

3 if all this started with the original dragged to the timeline of the current project, then an effect such as the ' new Cartoonr more blue elements "applied to the original, followed by Crop and fast blur, happen the same thing. But in this set of circumstances, the Panel 'New Blue Cartoonr more Elements' would end up in the Panel effects applied to the upper pane as well as crops and fast blur.

Much more to sort, but for your particular situation, you may want to consider:

1 video on video 1.

2. apply the fast blur or effect of your choice effects mask.

3. click right what is now bound up and components background of this task, and then ungroup.

4. drag the top right, away for the moment.

5. crop video 1 content.

6. slide the upper back in place over video content 1.

7. turn highlighted both at the same time, right-click about to organ, select Group or dissociated so leave want this way.

Please check and see if confirm you my exploration into this today.

Thank you.

• Limit the Drag & Drop zone in the mask

Hi, I have the average card image and I want to show this in a specific frame (border)

I can't resize and reduce my map image cause that the police cannot be read so I decided to put this image in a mask of area and use the slide so the user can see the whole image with dragging

I use the technique of the mask, convert my image movieclip with instance name: map_mc

and then put this script:

map_mc.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, drag);

map_mc.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, drop);

function drag(event:MouseEvent):void {}

map_mc.StartDrag ();

}

function drop(event:MouseEvent):void {}

map_mc.stopDrag ();

}

It works but the problem is: I can move and drag my image until any image will my zone masking (see anything, only the white screen), so how can I limit this field and make drag - works only when Reachs of the edges of the image (up, down, right, left).

In my last post I have watch/he explained what you need to be able to specify the parameters of Rectangle. Here's another way for you to look at using the code you had...

limits: var Rectangle = new Rectangle)

x,

There,

Width

height

);

I also showed you how these 4 values can be defined for the design that you have. See if you can work... replace x, y, etc. with the correct values.

• Why are there "The Hobbit" looking so weak?

For many fans of Tolkien the first tranche of the Hobbit trillogy was one of movies dissapointing most of his life.

Simply, it does not anywhere close to film height of the Lord of the RINGS.

The quality by a large number was tacky beyond belief. The CG looked less convincing than the rings.

The story was boring.

There was very little atmosphere.

I could go on and...

But, since it is a Visual Effects forum, I would like to know the reason that there is such little depth to the scenes of the atmosphere and asethetics.

Is it because it was shot digitally?

My wife and I watched the Hobbit twice in the same day. First on a normal screen with normal projection then in the ultimate theater with HFR and 3D. The first viewing was acceptable for me but great film not because there was so much CGI that the 'magic' went on a lot of shots. Just too many things in the framework in a large number of sequences. Say what you like on CGI, but when you throw in the miniatures and mix the practical effects with CGI screen experience is much better. Take an example of The Dark Knight.

When we walked in the 3d version of extreme high refresh rate my wife stayed for about 10 minutes. She leaned over to me and said: I can't watch this. I feel like I'm watching TV on the biggest screen in the world. It's driving me crazy and gives me a headache. BTW, our seats were theoretically almost perfect.

There are some color classification differences with the show being much cooler HFR. I saw of Douglas Troubull Showscan experiences with 60 fps and j70mm projection and they have been wonderful to look at, so I can't blame all on HFR. Only, he has not worked for me. Too many times the 3D and the intensification by CGI scenes were just too. Large images + great direction can overcome a poor script. 50 cooks trying to throw everything in their pantry in a single pot in fact weak and tasteless stew. I think it was the problem here. Too creative in pushing their own technology and being close to the project that they thought they were doing something wonderful. All that remains in this case long enough actually their own Howard the duck. At least the Hobbit didn't sink that low.

• cannot make the mask with a transparent visor

Hello.

I have a footage1 with a screen showing numbers, etc and I footage2 showing a football game.

I want the screen to display the football game

I created rectangular layer mask and is a relative of footage2, also tried all options of cache on the layer of footage2 but the mask remains white Uni.

How can I make this white triangle to show the football game?screen football.jpg

A matte always uses the layer just above. I guess your "5 solid white" is the hidden layer you want to use as a matte. I suppose also that you want to lock this matte for the layer 'Motion Tracking'. Do the "white 5 solids ' parent layer of the" Brazil... mp4 ' layer means that the layer of "Brazil"... "move with the"5 solid white "layer". I don't know what's on the layer "Brazil"... "but I don't think you want to move it. I do not see a "white triangle", so I guess you mean the White Rectangle.

Let's start with what I think I know.

1. You have a layer with numbers and other things. Name this layer "numbers."
2. You have a layer with images of a football that you have followed. Name this layer "football".
3. I see what I think, this is a null value in your computer. I think that is where the info of follow-up for the layer of "football". Name this layer "footbalTrackNull".
4. You have created a solid with a rectangular mask that you want to use as a matte. Name this layer matte

I think that. If I'm right, then I guess you want to hide the layer numbers, do follow football. I see a few problems. Your "Matt" layer looks like you have drawn the outline of something of no room for the camera. If this is the case, you will have to tell us.

Set up your layers of composition like this:

1. mat - footballTrackNull set as parent
2. numbers - set to follow mat - define footballTrackNull as a parent.
3. Football
4. footballTrackNull

The visibility of layer 1 will be off as soon as you apply the matte. Place the cover on the football. The visibility of the layer 4 can also be set to off, but it does not matter because this is a null value.

This will move the numbers and the layer mate together because they follow the footballTrackNull

I hope this helps. The screenshot has us in the right direction, but a better understanding of what you're trying to achieve would also help.

• Question of mask - only allowing the mask be moved in an instance

Hello

I set up a game, where the user must guess which photo is by moving a small hole/portal. I used the mask feature to do this and managed to fix the portal to the mouse. However, I must stop the mouse by dragging the portal when the cursor moves outside the image / instance. This is so the user can then press buttons to return to the main menu, etc..

Here's the code I used to fix the portal

onClipEvent (load) {}

startDrag ("", true);

Mouse.hide ();

}

Hope that all directions (doubtful!). Would be great if someone can help me.

See you soon,.

John

There are a few things you could do. If you are looking for the startDrag function, you will see how it includes additional parameters that you specify for limiting the draggable area for the object. In addition, using these same limits in a slightly different way, with an onMouseMove event handler, you can set up conditionals that detect when the mouse leaves the area so that you can run the stopDrag() function.

• Loading of the parts of the mask

I have searched for a lot of places, but still can not find loading the components of the mask. I just want to understand this function, how simple, just do the status indicator looks like a loading mask (something like Element.mask () of Extjs.

• Can't find them, and the window looks like a screenshot

When I hit the find, the window 'looking for the Mac"is a screenshot of everywhere where it appears on my screen. If I grab it and move it, it keeps the screenshot. Also it can't find what I'm looking for. It is a new problem.

Would you do a screen shot that people can see what you see? Make sure that you cover all personal information using the preview. The screen shot in a response using the camera icon or you can drag the screen shot in a response. Copy / paste does not work.

Hi mzdbid,

I understand that you want to change some of the search results you see featured on your iPhone. I know it's important to have your iPhone to work more efficient for you, so I'm happy to provide advice to help with this.

See the steps on how to change the apps are included in Spotlight Suggestions here:

Use the search on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support

Change search settings

Go to settings > general > Spotlight search.

From there, you can enable or disable the Suggestions of Siri and choose which applications to include in your search. For example, if you don't want to see the results of the research in your Messages app, you can deselect Messages.

If you don't want Siri or Spotlight to suggest close places, go to settings > privacy > location Services. Then click on System Services and disable Safari & Suggestions of Spotlight. Find out where you can use the Spotlight Suggestions.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support, cheers!

• Lock the position of the mask in FCPX?

I have an image I want to move from right to left (I'm trying to simulate someone hit to swipe an image on their phone). But I need to be masked so that when the image is moved, it is not just move from one place to the screen to the other (it must be enclosed in a mask). When I apply a mask in FCPX the mask moves with the image. I have to be able to stop it. Is it possible to do? It seems like the simplest thing in the world, but I don't see how it can be done. And Yes, I tried keyframing the mask but because his move with the image, it is dragged in every sense. If the movement is necessary so how would I do it in motion?

Thank you

You don't need a movement.

Create the animated clip of right to the Center - stop - center to the left. Create a clip consisting of it and add the mask to the compound clip.

• Can I go back to the old look error messages 'server not found '?

After the Firefox 32 update, I noticed that the "server not found" error messages look differently now. I don't like the new look, so I wonder if you know an add-on that restores the old look. I tried to search for him, but I don't know the name of these error messages, so I don't know what search phrase I should use.

Thank you very much for your answer. The solution in the thread link you to seems to be a bit too complicated for me, so I guess I'll have to live with the new error messages (unless the add-on you link is updated to work with latest versions of Firefox, but that seems unlikely). Thank you anyway for your help, however.
