Everything by typing yesterday my 2010 Word under the cursor goes to the left side of the page to start a new line and move forward to typing and went to the right margin and is now pushing the characters to the left.

Don't know what to reset as I change anything?

Word questions should be posted in the appropriate Word forum, e.g., http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-word-os_device_winxp?sort=lastreplydate&dir=desc&tab=Threads&status=&mod=&modAge=&advFil=&postedAfter=&postedBefore=&threadType=All&tm=1394750934783

However, it seems that you have selected "right aligned" in the section of the paragraph on the home Ribbon tab.  Replace "left-aligned.  Place the cursor in the paragraph and press CTRL + L or see below.

If this happens when you open a new document, click on the small arrow in the lower right corner of the section of paragraph (right from the word 'Right' in the image above) to open the paragraph dialog box.  Select left alignment in the "Général" section and then click on the "Set default" button.

    Hello

    recently purhased a Toshiba Satellite A500-19w laptop. I discovered that the modem port is closed sealed. (with plastic coating) and there is no way to open it.
    Have this same problem all A500-19w. In addition, I have not received a remote control with this laptop. That would come with the package?

    -Sheldon

    Satellite A500 comes with several different hardware configurations, and it is not easy to say that all of them are the same.
    You must also understand that the notebooks are product specific to the country and I know that all platforms will not be available in all countries.
    It may therefore be that A500 all offered in your country lacks the modem port.

    Modem will not be used so often to be honest in year 2010 and my personal opinion is that users of 90% laptops it will fail.

    With remote control is the same. If the specification for your model doesn't offer information on it within the framework of the package then all should be clear to you.

    I come to me on my computer and everything was gone. All my files, shortcuts and backround have simply disappeared. It's like I've never been on my computer before. I have nothing! How to get everything back?

    You have been discharged into a temporary user account. It may be a glitch, or your user account may be damaged. First try a system restore when things worked. If it suits it, fine. If it is not then your account is damaged and the best thing to do is to create a new user account and copy your data from the old to the new. I would also like to do a Chkdsk and then some hardware diagnostics on the hard drive and RAM to make sure that the material is solid.

    CHKDSK - click here to open the computer. Right click on the hard drive you want to check, and then click Properties. Click on the Tools tab and then, under error-checking, click check now. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    To automatically repair problems with files and folders that the scan detects, select automatically fix file system errors. Otherwise, the disk check will simply report a problem, but not to fix them.

    To perform a full disk check, select search and attempt to recover bad sectors. This scan is trying to find and repair physical errors on the hard drive itself, and it may take much longer to complete.

    To check for errors file and the physical errors, select both automatically fix errors in file system and search for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.

    Click Start.

    Depending on the size of your hard disk, this may take several minutes. For best results, do not use your computer for any other tasks while it checks errors.

    Note: If you select automatically errors in file system of fix for a disc that is used (for example, the partition that contains Windows), you will be prompted, see the disk check for the next time you restart your computer.

    Corrupt user account - if your single administrative user account is damaged (and therefore have what one user account is A Bad Thing), you must log on to the built-in Administrator (disabled by default in Vista) account. From there, you can create a new user account for yourself. In these cases, I prefer not to copy the whole profile to a new way to do not copy the bits corrupt. I prefer a new user account to copy the data (documents, photos, emails, etc.). Here are the instructions to do this. I assumed that you had only an administrative account, then you might want to take a look at the "general recommendations for setting Up user accounts in Vista" at the end of this post.

    All this requires a certain level of computer skills. You know better and that take the machine to a competent local computer tech (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad place) is the best solution for you.

    Activation of the built-in administrator.

    Method 1. If you have an installation of Vista DVD (not a recovery DVDs), you can start the system with it. Select the default language, then select "repair your computer". Then select "Command Prompt". At the command prompt, type:

    NET user administrator / Active: Yes [Enter]

    If you do not have a Vista installation DVD, you can either make a bootable DVD of Vista repair in the file at this link:

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

    Note: All the Neosmart recovery disk downloads are torrent files. There is a good explanation of the torrent on the site Web of Neosmart files. You will need a torrent as muTorrent client to get the files. Torrent client will download the .iso file with which to create the bootable DVD.

    After net user, remove the bootable CD and restart the computer. You will now see an icon for administrator on the Welcome screen. Connect to this account.

    Method 2. Or you can use NTpassword to enable the built-in administrator. In both methods, you need third-party burning software such as Nero, Roxio or the free ImgBurn (http://www.imgburn.com ) to burn the .iso image image file, not in the form of data.

    http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/

    B. create a new user account for yourself and by copying data from your damaged to her user account

    1. you are now connected to the built-in Administrator account. Go to control panel > user accounts and create a new Standard user for your daily work. Let's call it "Sheldon" for this example. Also create an administrator user, called 'CompAdmin' (or 'Tech' or similar).

    4 Ouvrezunesession 'Sheldon' once for profile files are created. Now log off 'Sheldon' and 'CompAdmin '. In "CompAdmin", disable the built-in security administrator. Do this from a command prompt:

    Start > Search > type: cmd
    When cmd appears in the above results, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator". Provide the password/OK to the UAC prompt. Now, you will get the command prompt. Type:

    NET user administrator / active: No. [Enter] and exit the command prompt.

    5. always in 'CompAdmin', you want to open two windows explore side by side. Open computer and navigate to C:\Users\old-corrupted-account. Now, do that again, but navigate to C:\Users\Sheldon. Copy the data from 'old-corrupted-account' on records in 'Sheldon '. Remember your Favorites, bookmarks (if you use Firefox) and by e-mail if you use an email like Windows Mail client.

    6. When you are finished, log in to "Sheldon. All your stuff should be there. When you are sure to have what you need, you can remove the old man-corrupted-account control panel > user accounts.

    General C. recommendations for creating users in Vista:

    You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is an OS multi-user with system built-in accounts such as administrator, by default, all users and guest. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

    In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but it will take third-party tools and work outside the operating system.

    The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

    If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

    Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
    Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

    Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null). MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • How can I correct a problem accessing my firewall settings because the Group Policy client does not connect to windows?

    I have tried everything recently adjust the settings of the firewall from my window and a box appears saying that after an unidentified error, I can't access my firewall. After some research, I discovered that it was because my client group policy server does not connect and a small box appears saying that whenever I connect to my laptop. It is not effect my use of the internet at all, so I've never bothered to see what that meant until now I need to access my firewall. I tried to adjust the settings in group policy, but everything is gray and I can't change anything. I use an admin account so I don't know why I can't set the parameters. I'm completely stuck and I don't know that much about computers. Is there anything else I can try? I also tried a system restore, but it lasts for a long time and I can return only 5 days. Thank you

    Hi Sheldon,

    Are you connected or connected to a work network or domain? If so, this could be a policy governed by your network administrator, and you will not be able to change it.

  • receive UPnP streams in WMP 11 - Twonky Media Server

    Unlike most people, I try to use WMP 11 as customerDLNA.

    Currently I have a NAS running Twonky 4.4.11 and try to see the media on WMP 11 in Windows Vista Ultimate x 64.

    WMP11 at the start, it only sees the media server about 50% of the time, and when he see it, he encounters an error about 5 seconds later and stops.  Within 5 seconds, I can see the covers and summaries from coming television series, but of course, everything stops, dead with the error is encountered.

    I know that Twonky is not to blame because I am able to access the same media via my PS3 with no problems.  Also, I put in square Twonky so that he knows that my client is Windows Media Player (there is no option to set the version).

    In the windows application log, I get the following error:

    Failed application wmplayer.exe, version 11.0.6001.7110, time stamp 0x49360d30, failed module wmp.dll, version 11.0.6001.7110, time stamp 0 x 49362665, exception 0xc0000005, offset error 0x000000000043bbac, process 0x1f3c id code, start the application time 0x01c9b37f38c589f9.

    I guess it's maybe a driver issue, but I'm not really sure now a search is farther away.

    Any suggestions?

    THX,

    -Sheldon

    PS. I note that WMP lists my NAS as "PVConnection... Server %nom%", do not know if this is another way of showing that it's a UPnP connection.

    Hello HeartOfGold,

    Thank you for posting.  I have additional information.  Maybe we could try using the 32-bit version of Windows Media Player to try to resolve some possible compatibility issues.  You can access the media player from 32-bit to

    by clicking on start/Orb and computer selection.
    Open the disc space (c), and then open the files of x 86 programs.
    Once there, you can see the file on Windows Media Player.
    Wmplayer.exe is the 32-bit version of media player.
    You do a right click and pin to start menu for easy access later.

    I found that using the version 32-bit solves a lot of my codec and compatibility problems, because most of the codecs do not support the really 64-bit right now.

    64-bit Vista includes 64 and 32-bit Media Player and Internet Explorer only for cases like this.

    Hope this helps you. Zack

  • Create an account via a standard account admin

    I have Vista Home with two accounts, a one and one other admin account standard. See the profile of my admin account is corrupted and I can only log on my standard account. I want to create another account to replace the admin one, but how can I do this via the standard user account. I can not activate the hidden either Administrator account such that she has always blocked.

    You can not. You can enable the built-in Administrator by following the instructions below. Instructions are written generically so not everything can be there, but the methods are the same.

    If your single administrative user account is damaged (and that is why only a single user account is A Bad Thing), you will need to log on to the built-in Administrator (disabled by default in Vista) account. From there, you can create a new user account for yourself. In these cases, I prefer not to copy the whole profile to a new way to do not copy the bits corrupt. All this requires a certain level of computer skills. You know better and that take the machine to a competent local computer tech (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad place) is the best solution for you.

    System restore - you can try first to do a system restore when things worked. If you had only one user account, then you can either try activating and connecting the built-in Administrator account as described below or start with a Vista installation DVD and do a restore of the system from there. See below for what to do if you do not have an installation DVD.

    Activating the built-in administrator - the first thing to do is to see if the administrator account is enabled by going in Mode safe. If there is no account of administrator user on the system, the built-in administrator may become activated it. Go in Safe Mode, press the F8 key as the computer starts. This will get you to the menu diagnosis. Select Safe Mode using the arrow key. If you see an icon for administrator on the Welcome screen, click it. The default password is white. Then go to control panel > user accounts and make changes.

    If you don't see an icon for the administrator on the homescreen mode safe - if you have an installation of Vista DVD (not a recovery DVDs), you can start the system with it. Select the default language, then select "repair your computer". Then select "Command Prompt". At the command prompt, type:

    NET user administrator / Active: Yes [Enter]

    Remove the installation DVD and reboot the system in normal Mode. You will see an icon for the administrator on the Welcome screen.

    If you do not have a Vista installation DVD (only have a recovery disk), the computer mftr. may have given you the option to repair the system Windows Vista (not a system recovery!) in the menu diagnosis. This menu of diagnosis is the same one where you can choose Safe Mode. If this isn't the case, you can do a repair file Vista bootable DVD in this link:

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

    Note: All the Neosmart recovery disk downloads are torrent files. There is a good explanation of the torrent on the site Web of Neosmart files. Hello

    If you have configured ports such as access to VLANs ports, who are either:

    (a) not configured on the switch / present in the database for vlan.

    or

    (b) present in the database, but it is in a suspended state.

    You will encounter this problem.  Please can you check the status of the VLAN?

    Hope this helps

  • MDS 9500 software necessary clarification EOL notice

    Hi guys,.

    We run the following code on our sup 9500 s of MDS:

    Kickstart variable = bootflash:/m9500-sf2ek9-kickstart-mz.4.2.1b.bin
    the variable system = bootflash:/m9500-sf2ek9-mz.4.2.1b.bin

    In the view of end of LIFE of Cisco, the only mentioned version is:

    MDS 9500 supervisor/fabric-2, the NX - OS Release 4.2(1a) software

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/storage-networking/MDS-...

    There is no mention of the version that we specifically run as mentioned above, however, the end of LIFE document does refer to "4.x".  Can someone confirm if our specific version is affected by this end of LIFE?

    Thank you

    Sheldon

    Hi Sheldon

    I understand your point; However, the statement: EOL for 4.x clearly also includes 4.2.1b; no exception.

  • application works is not in different models

    Hi, I have developed an application on Eclipse and using the emulator by default (8300) it works fine, but when I change the model of the emulator (9230 or any other) the same application does not work... any ideas?

    PS: the idea is to get the phone number for an outgoing call, and I use

    Phone call = Phone.getCall (callIId);

    Ph string = (String) call.getDisplayPhoneNumber;

    If (ph.equals("111")) {}

    }

    with a breakpoint in the IF and the default template, it will come, but not with others...

    Thanks in advance

    Phone call = Phone.getCall (callIId);

    Ph string = (String) call.getDisplayPhoneNumber;

    If (ph.equals("111")) {}

    }

    I think the problem is most likely in the getDisplayPhoneNumber method. When you are debugging contains actually "111" on models where it does not work? Maybe there's a space or CRLF or something in there as well
