ShockWave Flash crashing on Firefox 22.0

Hello, I just came to Firefox because Google Chrome has been very slow loading. Firefox is faster and I thought my problems were more... Well, now when I try to watch videos on youtube that they lag like crazy and sometimes, I get a message saying something about the shock wave crashing. I mean, seriously, what's the problem with these browsers cant they just make what I want to do without any problem? Please help me because it's frustrating. Here's the info to Clipboard of troubleshooting.

OK - I have reset my files to display all file extensions, renamed the old mms2.cfg and then fixed one tampered with to mms.cfg and least because now that seems to have done the trick - the video I just put on a played with only the occasional hiccup. Not perfect but much better. Thank you!

Hi, this is the last report of the accident I have, it happened a few minutes ago. I've tried usig Firefox in safe mode but nothing seems to solve the problem. Can someone help me please?

BTW, keep in mind that I'm not American or British please ^^

I had tried everything, until I actually dropped and restarted Firefox (which actually, I didn't do it because I had about 300 Favorites and I had to record in a block outside my Firefox profile) but that seemed to do the trick.

  • Shockwave Flash crash

How can I prevent the Shockwave Flash crash? It happens a couple times a day for now.

    Hi Renee,.

I would like to know the name of the web browser with which you encounter Shockwave Flash crashes. I would cover solutions for Internet Explorer and Google Chrome web browsers widely used.
If you are a user of Internet Explorer, then go to the Tools menu, select the option "Manage Add-ons." Disable Shockwave Flash Player and restart it. Now click Start | Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program. Select this program from the list that appears, click on the "Uninstall" button Download a new stand-alone version of the site Web from Adobe here: http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/ . Click on "accept and install" and go through the instructions on the screen. This solution is given assuming that your Shockwave Flash Player files are corrupt.
If you're a Google Chrome user, then your efforts are very different. Google Chrome comes with a built-in version of Shockwave Flash that if misconfigured with all standalone versions installed on your system can lead to accidents. In this case, you must disable the integrated version and let your stand-alone versions work only. Go to Chrome, type "subject: plugins" (without the quotes) to the address / address bar, then press ENTER on your keyboard. Don't you see the Flash plug-in? If so, click the "+ detail" to expand and disable the integrated version that File Path refers to... Directory of \Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application. Let the version independent another permitted. Once you have finished, remember to update your version of Shockwave Flash Player standalone from the official Adobe site.

  • Shockwave flash crashes firefox 4

Shockwave flash causes firefox 4 crashes. Sometimes they use the most recent or the previous version of flash. remove the flash has solved the problem but remove the flash isn't a solution. This happens on a computer with Windows 7. However on another computer with XP, this does not happen.

    1. Download a copy of Flash from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and save it to your desktop.
    2. Then download Flash uninstaller
    3. Close Firefox via file | Output
    4. Run the uninstall program to remove the Firefox Flash. It will also remove IE.
    5. Reset
    6. Run the Flash Installer that you downloaded to your desktop (do not start Firefox). This will install on Firefox only.
    7. Open IE, go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and choose run when you see the prompt.
    8. Test the installation in Firefox and IE by visiting: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

    Hey all,.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

I worked on a client computer and I get frequent crashes. Previously, the logs show the same error but indicated in the metadata for a plugin obsolete. I removed the plugin and accidents happen again (at least once a day).

In newspapers that bit that worries me is that Sophos may be the culprit and maybe hinder or prevent intervention of Flash to function properly.

The following actions have been recommended in various articles of Ko and I take them without resolution:
    -Updated Firefox
-Uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of Flash
    -Hardware acceleration disabled for Flash
    -Disabled hardware acceleration for Firefox
    -Removed previous plugin (LogMeIn).

    Greatly appreciated

Each of the 3 reports is different:

    (1) flash crashes

It uses protected mode (you can see the entries of the EXE in the blocked thread). It is not stable on all systems, unfortunately. There is a new parameter hidden to test with this option off:

    (A) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (B) in the search above the list box, type or paste the flash and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (C) double-click the preference dom.ipc.plugins.flash.disable - protected mode to change its value from false to true.

It cannot take effect until all the Flash was discharged for a few minutes, or you close Firefox.

Before the preference has been added, how to disable protected mode was by creating or modifying a parameter file. The following/post pages provide different approaches to that if it is necessary (if Flash EXE process continue to appear in the processes tab, Windows Task Manager, even after changing the preferences of Firefox):

To download the Flash completely (closing and restarting Firefox could help) until it takes effect.

    Any improvement?

    (2) related to D3D11 crash

Firefox has recently started to use this most recent version of DirectX. I'm not sure it's important, because the accident could have happened with the old version, too.

Two of the reports three crash related to this report indicates problems with a different graphics card/chipset driver. In this case, if an updated driver is not available or not useful, the solution is usually to disable Firefox to use hardware acceleration.

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

This takes effect the next time you exit Firefox and start it again. Any difference?

    (3) OOM = Out of Memory crash

With the use of the memory system to 81%, Firefox has apparently failed to get the memory block, he asked from Windows and died. I hope this isn't a common problem.

  • Shockwave Flash crashing

Shockwave Flash 12.0.0.77 keeps crashing. It was installed only on 14 March 2014 and I said that it is up-to-date. I use Firefox on Windows 7 Home premium 28.0.

    The message I get is
    WARNING: Plugin does not
Shockwave Flash may be busy, or it may have stopped responding, < snip >

I used to get this with an older version of Shockwave Flash and an old version of Firefox, but in the last days he started to reproduce (since I updated Firefox to the latest version).

You can check for problems with the current versions of the plugin Shockwave Flash and try this:

    • Disable protected mode in the plugin Flash (Flash 11.3 + on Windows Vista and later versions)
    • turn off hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

  • Shockwave Flash Crash and "running the server failed WMP".

    Hello

I have a laptop HP that used Vista. I recently decided to install Windows 7 on it a week ago, but I've had problems since.

I find that as a first step, I would like to watch YouTube and he played very well. However, after a few hours, Youtube should take a break and pop would be a mistake, saying that Shockwave Flash broke down. This error occurred on all browsers (IE, Firefox, Opera, Chrome etc.) and the mistake of Shockwave Flash would be visible on all streaming media sites.

I decided to play music on WWP but she also crashed and said that "Server execution failed". So I decided to restart my computer and everything worked again. My videos played WWP fine and so does Youtube.  I decided to continue to watch videos on youtube and listen to music on WWP until both started to freeze and the error occurred again. I would continue to reboot my computer and the same trend happen. Obviously, the error for Shockwave Flash Plugin crash and error running server on WWP are linked so I hope someone can help me solve this problem.

I tried re-installing and do a lot of things that I found here on the forum to see if they can help, but none of the solutions worked. If anyone can help me, I really appreiate it! I'm not a fan of Windows 7 so far, especially with these errors, so I hope to fix it soon!

Thank you so much in advance!

  • Flash crashes in Firefox, works in Internet Explorer

Aloha! I really hope someone can help me.

Here is my info: PC, Windows 8.1 64 bit running updated Firefox. All plugins are activated/still activate. Never, never had a problem before with Flash.

Problem: A week earlier, Flash has started crashing. There is a yellow banner at the top saying that Flash broke down with the option to send a report.  There 2 new modules in my Firefox Manager - Intel Identity Protection Technology - not sure what they are for. Deactivation makes no difference. I also picked up a virus that last week, after that Flash started crashing. I managed to get rid of it using Malwarebytes and Adware cleaner.

Right now, when I click to play a video, area of the screen becomes a gray white color and I get a message that I need to upgrade Flash to the new drive. When I do (yet), everything seems to go OK and install, but I always get the same thing when I try to play a video... gray box and the upgrade notice.

What I did: uninstalled Adobe Flash and reinstalled Shockwave Flash 15.0.0.152. Result is the same when using Firefox-it crashes. Shockwave Flash is set to "always enable" on the Add-ons Manager. I have also reset Firefox when get rid of the popup virus.

However, I had to work on IExplorer, so it makes me wonder if there is a problem with Firefox.

    Can someone help, please?

No, not really.  I'm looking at him with pragmatism:

    • There was a sort of malware infection
    • Your AntiVirus/AntiMalware packets captured at least a part of it and tried to remove it
    • Now, the browser does not work well

For Firefox, one of the things we have done in the implementation of Protected Mode was to ensure that other software could not be inserted between Flash and the Firefox process in order to intercept the communication.  When something don't try to do, we just bail out, and you end up with a death of Flash Player.  There could be other possible root causes, but what you are experiencing is not common or widespread.  Nationwide distribution of Flash Player, something with a failure of 0.01% rate touch 100 k people, everything always happens like this share all alarms.  I'm pretty confident that it is a unique problem created by something outside the operation expected of the plugin, browser and OS.

Short of a vast judicial inquiry in the current state of your machine, it is difficult to say what is happening beyond 'it doesn't look good. "  Given data points that I have, I think you would be well served by adopting a cautious approach, and to return to an audited statement will be most likely repair, or at the very least, make troubleshooting much easier.
