Should I leave the facial recognition Apple learn ears?

I would have thought it a silly question until I started to take corrective measures that I will not be able to cancel. Now, I want to just make sure that the ear is actually a problem I need to fix and not a useful thing, I'd appreciate it.

As long as I've been on the Photos (~ April 2015), he found ears and offered me the faces. I read once you include the back of someone's head in their face album. The article implied that users (maybe just lay ones) should not worry face obscured the person or case-head of screwing with the algorithm of recognition. This is a piece of information.

The second is that maybe Apple learns ears to identify the profile pictures. Maybe he learned a person's appearance according to its features of the face (front) AND its characteristics of the ear (profile). In this case, I very well should put all the pictures where my ear is surrounded exclusively in my face album.

Or maybe it's intend to Apple (although I can't find anything to support), but the software needs much development (as with African-American faces). In this case, I wouldn't tell him to ignore the ears that I see that it is found; I had just leave them be until the software is pretty good to start with profit by associating them with names.

I've been on the Beta of El Capitan since my guest between July and September.

The corrective action, I mentioned include an album of the ears and then, after catching a lot during some time, select them all and choose "don't not a face.

.

Face recognition identifies quite a few areas of a photo as a face, if she sees a model, where the two dark spots could be seen as eyes.  I see a lot of these false positives.  Faces in the rock or in the bark of the tree.  Just dismiss it as 'Not a face' as you did.  If you enlarge your photos of the ear, you will see the faces hidden in the section.

It detects even the faces of pets as sides occasionally:

I use my MacBook Air as a desktop computer. Should I leave the charger plugged all the time or should I drain the battery and then recharge? What is the best for the battery?

Keep the computer plugged in whenever possible.

If you keep the computer always connected, make sure that at least twice a month

Run it on battery until battery charge level falls to about 40-50%.

Please don't completely discharge the battery. Discharge the battery completely will reduce wear and tear on the battery.

"The question is often asked:" should I disconnect my laptop from the mains when not in service? Under normal circumstances it should not be necessary because as soon as the lithium-ion battery is full, a properly functioning charger will stop the load and load the pad will only engage when the battery voltage drops to a low level. Most of the users do not remove AC power, and this practice is safe. »

  • How low should I leave the battery on my MacBook Pro before I recharge

I have a new MacBook Pro and I know that once a month I'm supposed to leave the battery discharged.  But how low should it let?

Don't let the battery discharge to 0. You must load whenever it is convenient. There is no battery memory as the old batteries so you can load any level of discharge.

  • NB200 - where to find the facial recognition?

    Hello

I have a NB200 part number: PLL20A-002001. Apparently, these things have facial recognition, but I can't.
Can someone please show me how to get to the application, if not where to find it.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Where did you find the information that NB200 is equipped with facial recognition?

I checked the specification on the Australian Toshiba site and it seems that NB200 doesn't have this option.

If your laptop would have face recognition you can download the tool on the Toshiba site:

    Hello

I think that this tool is confusing upward in some way. Therefore, the first thing that should be judged is a new software installation. I recommend you to uninstall this tool first.
You can do it is Panel-> software

After the uninstall, it would be recommended to clean the registry. This can be done by using a software like CCleaner.
After that, download Toshiba face recognition software pilot European page and install again.

    Good luck

  • Facial recognition error

I have upgraded to iOS 10 the other day and it is very good even on my iPhone 6plus. However in the photos app, the facial recognition software is great, but it is not perfect. He can see me and group all my photos into an album (JanuaryShark) and that's fine. But if "AprilFish" appears in my album like me then how can I rename this photo and put it in his own album (AprilFish)?

But if "AprilFish" appears in my album like me then how can I rename this photo and put it in his own album (AprilFish)?

Select AprilFish from your album of person and not use 'this person '.

    See: http://help.apple.com/iphone/10/#/iph9c7ee918c

Remove misidentified one. Press a person in the photo album, and then view all to display all the photos they appear in. Press Select, tap Show Faces, tap the misidentified face, press the Share button, then tap not this person.

  • Facial recognition on Qosmio x 300 may not register well as audit success

    Hello

Just got my computer laptop-Qosmx300-13W. Had problems with the fingerprint reader in that it would not even go. Uninstalled and installed the latest version of Toshiba download page... s everything works now.

The problem now is with facial recognition. I can access the registry page, register successfully and the face is successfully verified. a new form appears. It has my username (but not name, said only: '-') and my computer name. Initially, there are two additional fields, "Password" and "Confirm password". The confirmation password field appears for a split second, then disappears. So, you can enter a password, but not a password for confirmation.

The OK button has a blue box around it. Using the software as it was of the recovery partition, when I click on 'ok' it gives me an error indicating that the confirmation password is not correct. I tried the update of the drivers\software from the download from Toshiba site today but I still see the same behavior that only now is worse in the sense that when I click on 'ok' as opposed to a message telling me the password is incorrect, I get on a string error access violation. More information can be provided if required please do not hesitate to ask.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Experience of Toshiba's not going too well I'm afraid: two s has neither worked on the box... then again it is common with most businesses so hope still it can be solved.

Thanks in advance (ps. I prefer to be contacted by email, [email protected] if it appeal to you can moderators let this address here, I understand that leaving the addresses may lead to get spam in my Inbox, that's a risk I'm willing to take. (Thank you).

Here's an update for someone else who could have this problem.

Seems the facial recognition is in conflict with the extra finger print scanner another question... it seems that facial recognition does not work when my user account is a single administrator account...

After posting my initial post, I went and created a test account. I then tried the registration process for the admin account and all crossed only instead of passwords requested that my fingerprints (I have the fingerprint reader enabled). Once who has been entered, everything is ok. However at the time wherever I deleted the test registration face recognition account began to play up again. That said the account that has already been registered works very well.

My advice to anyone else in this situation is to create a test windows account. Try to record again. If successful removal of the test account and you're done.

  • Export data of facial recognition in html format

I have hundreds of photographs dating from the mid-1800s, where I recognized faces. I would like to be able to export photos with facial recognition data to produce a web page.

Is this possible in Lightroom 6 or 14 items?

If I switch to Lightroom 6 can I import data from the elements with the facial recognition data attached?

I currently use 5.7 Lightroom & 14 items on an iMac 27 with OS X El Capitan

I would like to than LR to produce one page per photo with the ability to click on an icon to activate the boxes to facial recognition to reveal the names. This would be ideal. This is a project we hope to identify hundreds of people on photos for a society in history.

I know not all plugins or software that would do the job for you.  Maybe someone else to do it.

I had also thought of how or if it is possible to produce a spreadsheet of names and the names of files that are not in.

The plugin LR/carrier can export a spreadsheet containing the names and keywords attached to them.  (LR stores the names attached to faces as regular keywords.)

If you want to access the rectangle real around each face as the name attached to the rectangle, you must export the photos of LR and then use external as the Exiftool free to extract the data.   On Exiftool learning curve is quite steep, at least you are technical interested with the latest scripts or experience in programming, so expect to take many hours to get on the same page.

  • Leave the battery in or out

I guess this applies to all laptops, but since I have my T400 connected almost exclusively to food, should I leave the battery in or out?

In other words, is the aging of the battery faster because it is in a constant state of charge (in) or it would last longer if I removed it while the computer connected to the power supply?

    Thank you.

leave the battery in won't hurt, if you are not using your battery which keep well the battery around 40 to 60%. Then go into your power manager thinkvantage in respect of the maintenance of the battery. Set the level to minimum load to near 20% and maximum level between 40 and 60%.

Now unplug your power supply, then run the battery around 60%, then reconnect your power back. This should maximize your battery life.

Also, if you use the 65 watts, the laptop adapter speed Accelerator (CPU speed will be capped) If you do not have the battery plugged.
